sky broadband is shit i recommend PLUSNET there good they offer 60GB alowence

and at times between 12am & 8am thay go unlimited then after 8am in the morning your back to your alowance i think there pritty good!

my skybroadband has been having an intermittent to no connection for hours for 3 weeks now and still they are not doing anything. they said they will send technicians over but its already been a week and still they have not arrived.

at the moment i have BT Broadband and i gave my MAC code to SKY so do BT disconets my BT Broadband or do SKY

I have sky broadband, The username and password they gave me doesn't work so i can't access the email address I was given. The speeds are terrible! I get between 3mb and 5mb during the day! (when I'm at work) and 0.2mb at night when i want to play xbox live and actually make use of the internet! I phoned up and they gave me a load of bullshit excuses! I had BT before and that was worse but is it really to much to ask to get the broadband speeds I pay for!!!

If you're an online gamer, stay away from Sky Broadband. During peak times the connection can be extremely unstable and you'll be disconnected every 5 minutes.

Also their customer service leave a lot to be desired. They do a lot of talking but never actually fix anything, and being an I.T. guy myself I can tell they know next to nothing about their own technology.

Hopeless product & service. Go elsewhere.

I have sky and it works ok except I can't get the fucking username and password from the router they gave me. I get a fully 7.9mb from an 8mb line and it never dropped a line as far a i know and i use it alot

I presume sky broadband is sattellite broadband? Satellite broadband is the weakest of all the broadband services so i agree .

I do use sky for tv channels though ,they are top of the game for that .

It doesn't matter now. I found out what the problem was.. It was the router, all I had to do was forward a couple of ports and that's it. I have Virgin Broadband now.
