  • Love to have one. Could this be made to where it has air tight sealed doors, and electric driven instead of gas or diesel driven? And people out there disengage your heads from your asses and re-ingage your heads into what this vehicle is based on and not if this vehicle sucks or not. Love it and I hope it does great in the mining bussiness.

  • What if you'll have big rock in the middle of the road, hammer will pass it (caz its axle located much higher then center of its wheels) and this car will damage the axle (as i can see in the video it is scratching the ground with it some times). There is no time to watch for perfect trail when ppl shooting at you and definitely no time to stop for repair. The main point is to minimize driver work (so any soldier can take a place of a driver if needed), your vehicle is made for pro mud driver

  • come on mate, all it takes is just one comment from you, and BANG !! I'm back the next day with all of my thumbs down moron loser

  • look like halo wartug

  • "For coal and precious metals mining applications" "one of the most comfortable and quickest mining personal transports ever constructed"

    /end.

  • body so smooth could cary dinamite.....

  • Major camera tilting at 1:58 look at the trees.

  • @markssite well spotted!

  • i love how people bitch about how it doesnt excell at this or that, but be damned if they could make one like this from scratch. real mature. go back to your emo clubs.

  • compare to the ripsaw, this vehicle is just lame.

  • Wank !

  • nothing impressive here ,seen better bolder and tougher

  • put tracks on this baby and fageddaboutet

  • very red faction

  • its going to be had to do better than ripsaw!

  • nothing impressive, A polaris ranger 800 could do all of that and with a quarter of the weight... i bet it sucks on gas aswell

  • @boosted22g you cant compare a 4 wheeler to a vehicle like a truck . way to dif . all i did was put a 3 inch lift and some silverbacks on my 800 and i can out mud or climb almost any truck regardless of how much money u put in it unless i swamp it . there jus to dif . jus sayin

  • @freakoutkid14 ya right

  • @teraman1985420 ya right wat ? Are you being sarcastic or agreeing with me ?

  • great

  • Howe & Howe Tech made the SR1

  • find a way to make tracks work with high torque and dont run the risk of falling off at high speed offroad terrain...and on all four weels instead of the doulbe tread....use a turning sytem similar to monster trucks....its always been my own personal opinion that treads are far better than wheels...gives much higher surface area great for sand various other loose terrain

  • these guys are bad ass

  • you guys tried bolting some Mattracks to it? i think that would make it all the more impressive!

  • I still know for a fact the TUMBLER is better even in looks.

  • Not much ground clearance.

  • Pretty sweet ride.sucks they had to cut those racing shocks down. But still kicks ass!Are those tires solid rubber?

  • southberwick3 are you an employee at howe and howe tech because l love that show its kick assss that would be a sweet job

  • The treads and axle position allowed it to strut through all that...

  • Guys, some very nice work going down! To all the haters out there, go build one yourself and see just how diffticult building a vechical from scratch is.

  • Mobility : SR1

    Armor : HUMVEE

    Speed : HUMVEE

  • that thing goes pretty good such small tires

  • What the hell is a ""vechical"???

  • southberwick.... i won't be the last to lip this vechical off. this vechical was just built way to heavy for transport people to and from a mine. i said you built it way to heavy, so you could run crazy shit like 800hp and 54" tire. Any farm boy could of built this, maybe even better. Sillwabbit said that you weren't part of team RIPSAW but a supporter. RIPSAW: good build SR1 :heavy build. Your only getting hits from using RIPSAW's name.

  • @blazinmillwright... yeeeaaaahhhh NOPE... infact a CJ (axles over springs) with 36" new swamps didnt even make it to the first hole where the SR1s play... An Sr1 bitched it out actually.... I was there...and happen to work at H&H... Know your facts Blazeboy before u puke stupidity!!!!

  • Then go and film this. i would like to see the sr1 vs any jeep/blazer/bronco. maybe not a stock vechical but one with tires and engine compairable to the sr1. The RipSaw compaired their tank to a truck/suburban why didn't u. i'll be looking for this vid if you ever put it up.

  • @blazinmillwright ... WOW people that say shit knowing nothing... its mind boggling... Do some research before u comment so u dont look retarded!!!!! YEAH a mining vehicle is gonna have 54" tractor tires with 800hp... ITS a fucking mining peronell transport vehicle... WOW... U may want to hit the drawing board and realize what ur commenting on!!!!

  • wow those are some fucking tiny tires.

  • i've got to say your vechical kinda sucked. a stock rubicon jeep could do better than this thing.probably more body clearance on the jeep. you build this truck way to heavy for the small tires on it. you could run a 54" tires with 800 hp on those 2 1/2 rockwell axles. Better take this one back to the drawning board boys

  • ruebecon piece shit that thing would break before that thing even out popped a tire

  • @MrTrucker199 have u ever wheeled against one or in one. rubicon has full diff lock front and back 33"TIRES stock with a wicked crawl ratio.800 dollars you could slap a lift, 35 tires under it and its unstopable. you sir have probably never been in a jeep in the mountains. For power to weigh they are unstopable.

  • @blazinmillwright its supposed to be used in a mine they dont need big tires or an ass ton of horse power

  • @silllywabbit. still you used axles ment for huge tires and huge power. could of used toyota axles which are half the weight of the 2 1/2 ton. just reenforce the diff, and use some upgraded axle shafts. Your power to weight ratio must just suck. wastin fuel and power for all that weight. have u ever picked up a 4x4 mag? or watch Extreme

4x4 on spike TV. i don't beleive that your part of team ripsaw. Ripsaw was a good build this one fell short.

  • @blazinmillwright this vehicle doesnt weigh that much i would guestamate about 3-4 thousand pounds mostly armor for fear of falling debrie and no i have nothing to do with howeandhowe but i do love and support there vehicle creations and if this was such a fail then y did the mineing company order more of them?

  • @silllywabbit they did... They now have 9

  • @southberwick3 The SR1 was designed for mine rescue, as stated multiple times in the episode of Howe&Howe Tech. As a rescue vehicle, however, it fails. Re-donk-u-iz-lee. Furthermore for most deep-run mines it's way too tall. People who believe this is the future of mine rescue have obviously never seen a mantrip

  • @southberwick3 if its a mining vehicle how come this whole video is of it doing random offroading

  • @blazinmillwright I don't think you fully understand why this was build the way it was. It's not built to be a bad ass rock crawler or anything like that. It was built to do the job in the mines and last forever. Why do you think they used those airless tractor tires. People that run mines don't have time to fuck around with equipment that falls apart. I'm sure they built these to fit the job at hand.

  • @blazinmillwright yeah best take it back to the drawing board cuz this rocket scientest probibly just blew your mind with his knowledge of jeeps and mining rigs.....

it aint a fliping mudder come on pull your head out

  • fuck off

  • ut hum the wright brothers invinted somthing from nothing that was ever thought of these guys just try there best to make somthing that sucks like there all terrain snowmobile the belt on a snow mobil in snow doesnt have that good of a life if its run all the time and plus who was the jack ass that thought to only put floats on where the ski's went they havent impressed me yet

  • Yeah, I bet you couldn't make anything better!

  • wow go fuck ur self buddy you coundnt build one of these if everything was in front of you

  • you know nothing of snowmobiles

  • id give it more height and shorten the wheelbase .. bit bigger tyres and yea, nice! :D

but sure its a good job so far

  • Knoxville...... yes but can ur 80s series deal with the punishment an SR1 takes in just one hour... When are the offroaders and rockcrawlers gonna realize... YES "your" rig is sick but the SR1 is build for duty.... It does nothing different than your "extreme" ride... it just stays together longer

  • i didnt see it do anything that my 80 series couldnt do.

  • SR1s wont replace the hummer... They're too specialized... But they r as capable and far more durable...

  • Certainly not bad, but not really special. Durability can be designed in, but the real test of durability will be field use of mass produced (not custom hand-built) versions of the SR1. Yes it does have parts commonality, something the military is working towards ala JSF program, etc. But, going to replace the Humvee? No MRAP design ideas, slower top speed (42 vs 65 armored Humvee), virtually the same payload & ground clearance. The H1 is obsolete but this won't be it's replacement.

  • nothing a good horse cant do

  • hahahha, this one got a miles far from Hummevee :)

  • whats so special about that looks to me like a heavy duty go cart

  • i think itd be more suitable with independent suspension.

  • independent suspension isnt as good in mud. on rocks yes, but in mud no. In mud, it hugs ruts making travel more difficult in some cases.

  • Why not just put rockwells on a Hummer, and yank out the 6.2 and throw in a Cummins 4cyl diesel?

  • needs mattrack would kick even more ass and the miners would have fuckin funn too fuck you all who say this comment suks

  • its a rock crawler tube chassis with rockwell axles and tiny solid tires from a bobcat or similar.

    still pretty cool.

  • its an SR1 with "rock Crawler" 4 link and axles... But even the axles are done up with dual proprietary seals and durality add ons. The SR1 is a ground up reinvention of durabilty. From seals to the cumputer cut cage to axles to engine to fire suppression to even the power steering and transmission. SR1 is a mining vehicle thats designed to transport people safely for thousands of hours round the clock

  • something the hummer has failed to do for even 500 hrs

  • The SR1 was never meant to compete with the Ripsaw. It was meant to supply Miners with safe RELIABLE rides... Something that the Miners found out the HummVee couldn't do. The SR1 is revolutionary because its so simple and indestructable

  • @offroadgodzilla there is little to nothing that can go wrong on the SR1

  • I want one

  • its just a fuckg go kart wtf

  • you guys are FUCKING IDIOTS. this is for civillian use, so it needs to be cheaper to produce and no need for any armor plates... i mean jesus even if u dont look it up you could at least look at the title and figure it out with common sense!

  • this is a step backwards from the badass Ripsaw. Its not much different from a modidied Jeep.

  • It's not near as cool as the ripsaw. It's not really that cool at all. Just some tubing and a set of rockwells. I don't think it would be any better than the hummer once they armor plate it.

  • needs a V-SHAPED hull for ied deflection, quarter inch iron or steel plate would be nice

  • It looks not much different than any other rock crawler...

  • it looks like a trophytruck on roids

  • for mining, that explains the skidsteer tires. very cool machine

  • I like it, but the front end doesn't look like the monster that it is, wheres the fear factor in it?

  • What would be the point if the enemy was already dead?

  • Well the Humvee has a reputation, when the enemy sees it, they know what it means for them. The front is kind of the hum vee's signature.

  • What song is ti that's playing the background?

  • Awesome machine!

  • want one for commute, looks fun working at howe and howe

  • Not quite a Ripsaw video, but SR1 is a mean looking S.O.B. I agree the video editing is pretty good, dont c that much on youtube

  • Comment removed

  • very cool ride and nicely done video!!!
