  • Reminds me of when I got to go to my first Doobie Brothers concert, only to discover (at the concert) that they'd just swapped out Tim Johnston for Michael McDonald and completely changed the sound.

  • im sorry but only bob welch can pull this off

  • Though she isn't credited as a songwriter, Christine had a big part in creating the mystical jazzy arrangement for this song; Welch originally had it as a "fast-paced blues belter", according to this book I have in my hands. So, you know, seems legit.

  • lindsey doesnt put his heart in it he sounds like they r makeing him sing it

  • The first time I heard this, I think I might have been levitating.

  • I love watching Stevie Nicks dance

  • Fleetwood Mac had tons of great songs before Lindsey and Stevie joined. Also, the Buckingham Nicks album from 1973 was great......tons of great songs years before "Rumours" got started,

  • If Only I could have been alive back then to have actually gotten to be part of all this....

  • Remember, at this time Stevie and Lindsey had only been with the band a short time and they only recorder 1 album with the group, so they had to do some old stuff when they went out on tour as they really didn't have that many new songs yet with Stevie and Lindsey.

Great version of this song though. Thanks for posting.

  • It's interesting they thought the song was important but not the guy who wrote it...

He didn't get inducted into The R&R Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac..

Don't forget Danny Kirwan or Bob Welsh....

  • @sherriffofhongkong I think that Danny got inducted, but he wasn't along with Jeremy Spencer, able to attend. There was some kind of rift going on between Fleetwood Mac and Bob Welch over royalties.....so he was purposely left out.

  • @sherriffofhongkong the R&R Hall of Fame is a sham, a shame.

Moody Blues, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Rush, Yes ELP, Heart, Dire Straits, Chicago, Bad Company, T Rex, Donovan, Harry Nilsen, Peter Paul & Mary, Stevie Ray Vaughn...wtf? !

ok, I go listen to more great music. song over, rant over, I'll get over it...

  • Yeah, he's singin in a cover band at this point! Bob Welch deserves the credit.

  • i wonder how lindsey felt about singing someone elses tune.

  • He had to sing Oh Well too...comes with the territory when you join an established band.

Nobody could do this song like Bob Welch.

  • @Bassman968

I think Lindsey did it justice. He's got a great voice and it just seems to work with no matter whose song it is.

  • @txeire I read when Lindsey and Stevie joined the group, they went out and bought all of FM records to learn.....and they were blown away with how many great songs FM had.

  • this is a truly excellent tune...

  • test

  • This is interesting. I did not know they were playing Bob Welch stuff so soon after he left. They must have mixed a couple old songs in on their Fleetwood Mac LP tour ?

This is great footage, though. Thanks for posting.
