Pilot: "sorry for the Interruption but this flight is going to be bumpy so anyone wanting to film this flight please wait till the plane has settled thank u "
I love all these "turbulence" videos. These people need a ridea in a 172 on a windy and bumpy day. Especially with some nice thermals on final or takeoff. That will show them what real turbulence is.
@DerPilotMann amen brother. the ONLY time i really thought i was gonna die was in a pac750, with a plane loaded with skydivers over hawaii. winds started gusting on the ground to 25, so they called off the jump and literally about 30 feet off the ground on final we dropped like 15 feet, and the turbulence was unlike any ive ever felt. our pilot was the man, and as soon as we touched down the entire plane started cheering for him and clapping our hands. that was scary shit
@DerPilotMann Agreed. I flew a Piper 140 over the California coast ranges on a 105º day. It about knocked my teeth out . Another time, I got caught in the leading edge of a storm front in a Tomahawk. Good gawd! This is light chop by comparison.
Turbulence isn't too bad most of the time. The worst I've been in was on approach to San Antonio after being diverted from Dallas due to a line of severe thunderstorms. A bunch of s#!t was hitting the ceiling, uncontrolled banks to 30 deg, and I thought my seatbelt would cut through my belly. Still, most people were chilling out and talking to each other.
When your fellow passengers start acting unusually / goofy, THAT'S when I get nervous. Who knows what they are going to do.
@justinfadler121 Hey, I know what you mean by those big drops! That's why they have those bags in front of you! It looked pretty bouncy from what I saw! Interesting video.
i read somewhere says that probability to crash an plane is less then probability to win a newyear lottery ticket. I keep saying this myself when hit turbulance during flight
@TenthPrestegeisaFAG Lol, ur right, i flew in a grob a couple of months a go, with 17 knots of wind. Fucking manic! especially when you should only be flying in 15 knots lol
I once had a flight where we flew over a tornado. This is pathetic it's barely even turbulence... The captin said that if the turbulence didn't get better that we were going to crash, not a crash landing but crash. Like plane explodes in air type crash and that we were going to make an emegency landing. Obviously none of that happened but it was pretty damn scary...
That's mild to moderate turbulence, you big pussy. Look it up before posting this shit. If your eyeballs were slammed down your ass and the flight attendant was on the ceiling, that would be crazy extreme turbulence.
@MrOzwinner Oh, sorry, was "outmatched" too big a word for you to handle? And what is with you and gay porn? Jesus wtf......if anyone here is a gay porn addict it's you, since you keep bringing it up. And if you don't think "STFU" is an insult, you're the biggest fucking retard in the world. Get a fucking sense of humour. I can't believe I'm actually wasting my time with a worthless, piece of shit like you. Who the fuck do you think you are, hard-man? I laugh at your immense stupidity.
Once, the turbulence was so bad, it launched me out of my seatbelt and out the window. Luckily on the way down I saw a balloon some child must of let go of, soaring up into the sky. I grabbed hold of it and quickly shoved it up my ass. I then began floating up into the sky and back into the plane window. Pretty awesome, huh?
@TheHappyKantus Zing? lol fuck your lame..wow u replied to my post in less than 5 minutes...so heres some advise, get off the net, stop watching gay porn and jacking to it and finally if your gonna make some kind of youtube comeback atleast think it through so its atleast somewhat offensive.. and again STFU
@MrOzwinner Dude what the fuck is your problem? First of all, learn to fucking spell, or get the fuck back to kindergarten. Second of all, you can't make fun of me for being on the net, when you just insulted someone you never met in your life, for no apparent reason. You're a fucking idiot. Don't even attempt to argue with me, you're infinitely outmatched.
@TheHappyKantus LOL...outmatched? ur sounding more and more like a video game nerd - gay porn addict. I didnt insult you i told you to shut the fuck up because no one wants to read your lame fucking excuse of a 'joke' about putting shit up your arse! so buddy...STFU
All of these "turbulence" videos on YouTube, and none of them are worth watching. Folks, a little cabin shaking is not "turbulence". You could probably call it light chop, or a little bumpy, or you might say that the ride was a little rought--but "crazy turbulence"?? Come on now.

I don't fly much, but last winter I went to Europe. Our flight to Europe had been smooth, but the flight back? Ha. During the first 30 or so minutes we'd had some nice turbulence and I hoped that was it, but then JUST as I'm about to get up and pee, the captain turns on the sign and says "We're going to have some heavy turbulence for the next 10 minutes or so." Yeah I don't know when 10 mins became 2 hours (I watched all of You Again), but I was the first person up and in that bathroom afterward
@crosscountrytc LOL that sucks.. you know what i've noticed, the turbulence literally always begins just as soon as you need to get up and use the bathroom.. its happened to me so many times, i don't get it, its like something out there knows exactly when my bladder gets full and then bam the bouncing begins..

i actuly enjoy turbolence, it is interesting to look at everything, wing movements etc. Especially when you got a lot of knowledge in athmospheric conditions and in how airplanes are constructed and how much they actuly can withstand. (Big flight enthusiast) xD
That's not too bad. I was on a flight from LAX to San Diego intl in a 24 passanger turbo prop. We hit several massive thunderstorms and you could hear the copilot asking (shouting...) the pilot if they should turn back. The pilot said we're 1/2 way there already, might as well keep going. Because it was a low altitude flight, they didn't have to pressurise the cabin, so there was water leaking in the door, and only 5 of us didn't puke from the turbulance...
I'll never fly again. Unless there's a lot of money and sleeping pills involved. The turbulence on this video would of given me a heart attack. You filmed very well for being inside a tin can filled with gas, pretending it can fly....
i was in turbulence like this at night! which made it 10x more scary because all i could see was snow rushing past the wingtips when the beacon flashed.
You know what's funny? No matter how bad or scary your bout with turbulence is, there's always some guy next to you who laughs it off. "Boo-ring! I've seen much worse that this!" Yeah, thanks a lot, like that helps a lot. Now excuse me while I have my panic attack.
@gamesDAMNED THATS SO TRUE. the last flight i was on was about 5x worse then this, we were stuck in a thunderstorm and ended up aborting the landing the first time, then told by the pilot that we were making a crash landing. the majority of the plain was dead silent and then there were the assholes who were looking at everyone like they were pathetic. like really, let me cry in peace LOL.
@gamesDAMNED I actually enjoy turbulence. Haven't had the flight drop 10,000 feet yet but I am used too moderate to severe turbulence. I have full confidence in the pilots and the craft as well as the fact I think it's cool to see the wings move to no where near breaking point as well as the engine shaking and bopping around. Flights are boring. This way I get a bit of entertainment. BTW, I choose my airlines through pilot research. Safer than driving yourself to the corner store.
@razzinsky I have seriously got to have you on my next plane trip to Bogota. Having someone with that level of confidence would be a Godsend. I have to learn to toughen up and not freak out when the plane starts getting bumpy.
@razzinsky what a great way to look at things. I've only been on plane 2x,don't like them cause of front page news, MY imagination, n those damned Final destination movies. Though I will say I was very calm both times considering there was NO turbulence going to or from destination. Only hr n half trip. I wish safety and God blessing to all who air sail :)
that´s just a bit of turbulence, i got mutch worse then that, thats why today only that turbulence like in this video, i start sweting and old myself very hard to the seat lol
A few years ago, I was on an old L1011 from Vegas to Nashville, and we hit turbulance that made this look smooth. This is not an exagration, had I not had my seatbelt on, I would have lifted three feet out of my seat. A woman a few rows up fainted, and most women, and a few men, were screaming like a scalded cat. My wife was calm, but crying. The man sitting next to me shit himself. I had to smell it the whole way. Quite a trip.
@0Heavy0Metal0 THAT is a level 3 turbulence... THAT is scary shit, because if you guys felt a drop (which would make you lift up in the cabin) you could have actually passed through an air pocket as well which means the airplane lost all ability to create lift and suddenly drops a couple of hundred feet even into the thousands depending on the level of the air pocket you went through. The L1011 had nothing to do with it at that point in time if it was turbulence with an air pocket.
@Peacekeeper2403 That's what the pilot said over the intercom a little later. He explained to us what happened. He said that we were over the Grand Canyon with extreme thermals. At FL300, there was actually more wind over the wings than under them ( or the other way around, I can't remember) which is opposite of what it should be. He said we lost 800 feet of altitude in 5 seconds. One of the flight attendants was injured. When we landed, a party erupted. Hugging and handshaking all around!
@0Heavy0Metal0 Thermals are nice for gliders since the rush of rising air allows the glider to gain altitude. In the end it is a change in wind currents so if you flew into one the plane would be experiencing vertical lift and when you fly out of it it would stop and even may drop a few feet while it adjust. As for less air under while too much over... VERY scary stuff man. Lift is created by the wind under the wing, not enough and the plane drops like a stone.
@Peacekeeper2403 After I read your comment, I looked up the turbulance levels. We were definately in a level 3. There are some areas of the country that have such strong thermals that a glider can stay up as long as he wants to. THAT is a strong current! The Grand Canyon is one of those areas. Do you fly? It sounds like you know alot about this stuff.
@0Heavy0Metal0 No not yet at least. I'm looking to getting my pilot license either starting this year or the start of the next one. (Need Finances for it) But I am an enthusiast and an avid Flight Sim user. I'm not like most ppl who get on a sim and expect game like stuff, I try to push the sim to the most realistic settings and then try to learn anything I can from the sim. Hopefully that will aid me when I apply for the real thing. Everything I've learned is from looking it up.
@0Heavy0Metal0 Additionally by sharing what I've looked up I begin to understand it further, while providing further questions for myself to look up and dive deeper into the aspect of flight. As to knowing about how airflow across the airframe affects flight, is partially due to the fact that I simply love to know why or how something works. (I've been told I have an engineering mentality and I would have to agree with them.) I'm currently posting some of my flights on FSX.
why do planes always seem to explode when they crash? Can't they ever just be like a little car bump? It could be just like "oh shit captain we crashed." "yeah, no shit no shit! My parents are going to kill me!" But no they have to always blow up. How plains have you actually heard of that got into a crash and people simply walked out unscathed? I know like 1 and i forgot which one or when it happened. Bros plains are scary when they go down man!
I was flying to orlando on a 727 and just before we landed, litterally feet from the ground the plane suddenly listed to the left and I happen to be looking out the window. All I could see was the runway and I about shit my pants. The Captain came on the raido and said, "Sorry about that folks, unexpected winds just before landing but we are all ship shape" Needless to say its things like that that will scare the shit out of people and make them never fly again. I have flown 3 times since, np.
Weak. Try having to divert to London on an ORD-AMS flight because the winds were too much for a 777 to handle. Come flying with me sometime. I always luck out and get the roller coaster flights.
If this is slight turbulance I'd hate to see what the bad turbulance is.

You know what's funny? No matter how bad or scary your bout with turbulence is, there's always some guy next to you who laughs it off. "Boo-ring! I've seen much worse that this!" Yeah, thanks a lot, like that helps a lot. Now excuse me while I have my panic attack.
gamesDAMNED 4 months ago 59
@gamesDAMNED THATS SO TRUE. the last flight i was on was about 5x worse then this, we were stuck in a thunderstorm and ended up aborting the landing the first time, then told by the pilot that we were making a crash landing. the majority of the plain was dead silent and then there were the assholes who were looking at everyone like they were pathetic. like really, let me cry in peace LOL.

@babyZomb33Z lol hell ya would cry. If were crash landing can I pull my phone out and call my mom. lol

@gamesDAMNED actually, in a funny way it makes me feel safer knowing that there's worse than this.

@razzinsky Oops. *to* not "too". Peace!
razzinsky 2 months ago
@razzinsky I have seriously got to have you on my next plane trip to Bogota. Having someone with that level of confidence would be a Godsend. I have to learn to toughen up and not freak out when the plane starts getting bumpy.
gamesDAMNED 2 months ago
@razzinsky what a great way to look at things. I've only been on plane 2x,don't like them cause of front page news, MY imagination, n those damned Final destination movies. Though I will say I was very calm both times considering there was NO turbulence going to or from destination. Only hr n half trip. I wish safety and God blessing to all who air sail :)

@gamesDAMNED maybe I'm the person that you're talking about, when turbulence comes, i'm laughing or say "OWW YEAH !!!"

Gosh...this looks extreme. Maybe I shouldn't watch these videos, as I'll be flying soon from Austin, TX to Oakland (to go to SF).

0Heavy0Metal0 4 months ago

0Heavy0Metal0 4 months ago
@0Heavy0Metal0 Thermals are nice for gliders since the rush of rising air allows the glider to gain altitude. In the end it is a change in wind currents so if you flew into one the plane would be experiencing vertical lift and when you fly out of it it would stop and even may drop a few feet while it adjust. As for less air under while too much over... VERY scary stuff man. Lift is created by the wind under the wing, not enough and the plane drops like a stone.
Peacekeeper2403 4 months ago

Peacekeeper2403 4 months ago

DreamsMemories 5 months ago
If you would stop shaking the camera, the turbulence will go away.
e081194eng 5 months ago
Weak. Try having to divert to London on an ORD-AMS flight because the winds were too much for a 777 to handle. Come flying with me sometime. I always luck out and get the roller coaster flights.
