at least gm was smart enough to know that they should put this system in their car because the engine lights always come on in them... who the hell has bad oxygen sensors in a new car?... and people wonder why theres imports all over the road..
its the oxygen sensor heater circuits shorted for both codes shown. Its usually the heater element has shorted out which makes the sensor hot in a few seconds when the key is turned when the engine is cold. Replace the oxygen sensor before the converter should fix it. Probably would not hurt to replace the one after the converter. Pretty sad for a jeep with only 5,530 miles on it to have this $80 + part to go bad.
230,000 kilometers on my 02 Pontiac grand am GT and the MIL light didn't come on or any DTC's were found :) not even a blown headgasket or LIM gasket :)
Shows the quality of american cars. Problems right away after you drive it out of the dealer. And damn what a stone age looking cheap ass interior it got aswell.
You can do that without starting the car. Just turn ignition on and off 3 times without starting it and leave the key in on position and watch the dash, like he said. It works on all Chrysler cars that have a digital Odometer.
@Skeeterman42087 rofl I'm not afraid to call your dumb ass a dumbass, you obviously don't know me. If i met you on the street i wouldn't hesitate a second to tell you what a dumbass you are :D

that is really nice what cars have this in them?
benkerr69 2 months ago
They're O2 sensor codes. Not uncommon to have them go out at any time, even if the car only has 5,000 miles.

And that is why people don't buy American cars, check engine light on at 5000 miles. No wonder why US automobile industries are going out of business

@MrMrPaparazzi P0038 is an 02 sensor, yes it failed eairl but its not a problem "with engine" should be covered under warranty
clarda1 9 months ago
@clarda1 ya but if it fails now and keeps failing, should have bought a honda or toyota. cuz thats just gonna mess up out of warranty.

@JOVANI7919 Different car manufacturers have different things, so no, this will not work on all cars. Probably only this one.
