Man they really started messing up the characters.Spyro look retared. Spyro 1,2,3 and A Heros Tail were the best hands down. I'll give these last three credit but thoses were the best.
:3 I remember when I finished this game and played through it again. I was at the part where Spyro discovered he can breathe fire and I only had to defeat one more of Cynder's forces in order to get Sparx out of the cage, but when that last one was on the ground dying, I accidentely breathed ice on it and there was no way to unfreeze it... So I had to start from the beginning again lol freakin' glitch! >< :b
Okay I'm confused with these old school fans who are complaining. I loved the old spyro games as a kid, and I love this game just as much. You guys need to just be happy that this was better than skylanders. The gameplay in this game was great.

I've never played this game before so I'd like to ask a few questions. Is this game similar to the originals on the PS1? Like, do you go to different worlds and collect things in said worlds and whatnot? Like in Spyro 2 you went through portals to different worlds to get talismans and orbs and stuff. Is it like that? If not, what is it like then?
@InfomercialRemixer You only go to a Few worlds in this(even Spyro:Enter the Dragonfly has more worlds to explore than in this game(Ps. Get the Gamecube version of Spyro:Eotd).
@Remixer You go around fighting enemies and do some platforming. You gain new powers and abilities as you go through parts of the game and you can upgrade these abilities with blue gems. You need to pause the menu and pick a certain name on the list when you pause which I can't remember, and it'll take you to the upgrade screen. The game (Eternal Night) has more secrets and the 3rd (Dawn of the Dragon) brings back exploration in optional form with useful items to get, and it has better puzzles.
@dhig555 yes but its not to buy things ( Money bags is't in the games,but Hunter apperead in the third game ) and it's not a mission. Red gems heal your life,Green gems heal your breath and Blue and purple gems are to get a furie attack or to level up your breath

@illrunfree2 Except spyro shadow legacy It has a new mysterious boss called stranger(a mysterious evil dragon that has four wings) and he put all of spyro`s(the original one) worlds in darkness(called the shadow realm) and spyro defeats him etc.And at the end of it it says`The dragons already knew he(the mysterious dragon) would return but they will be ready.i hope Spyro kingdom is the sequel to shadow legacy .
@Tyrik73 Crap quality? Jump, glide, charge and flame. REALLY awesome! And it's not like they're combo moves. The old games had crap stories and quirky comedy which sucked for a dragon. This is better. Spyro's kingdom, if it is in LOS, will be good, but being old will just destroy all that made Spyro good. The only good things about the old Spyro were the portals and the great items to buy in A Hero's Tail.

@awesomeflyeoman no they didn't screw up they just didn't like spyro anymore and sold him off to krome spyro just hel insomniac back and so they said fuck it.So in reality spyro was doing fine but he wasn't going to evolve and he had made iit so that the company was stuck in a box so they decided sell him off best move they ever made.
The LOS games has got alot of critics due to an unoriginal gameplot. But personally i don't care. The thing i like about LOS is that Spyro like in the first 2 games made don't have a whole team of goofy sidekick friends. That's the same kind of game developement we've seen in the Crash bandicoot, Sly cooper and Sonic games. Here it's just him all alone kicking ass just like in old days. Plus i think the atmosphere in the last STDs were starting to become too sugar sweet, rather than fun.

LOS is not perfect - I will like LOS more than the original series only if they make improvements on it.
Repetitive gameplay? Try Morrowind. Quests are like this: explore, fight (10 times), do something then complete the quest. It is the best game ever.

honestly, i have to admit that i like his voice in this game more than the first ones, mainly because he doesn't sound like a dorky teen with weirdness issues xD please dont take offense, it just seems as though dragons should be more...less comical. fire breathing and razor fangs and claws arent funny in real life.... why make dragons a joke? ._. just my opinion...

@awesomeflyeoman no they didn't screw up they just didn't like spyro anymore and sold him off to krome spyro just hel insomniac back and so they said fuck it.So in reality spyro was doing fine but he wasn't going to evolve and he had made iit so that the company was stuck in a box so they decided sell him off best move they ever made.

The LOS games has got alot of critics due to an unoriginal gameplot. But personally i don't care. The thing i like about LOS is that Spyro like in the first 2 games made don't have a whole team of goofy sidekick friends. That's the same kind of game developement we've seen in the Crash bandicoot, Sly cooper and Sonic games. Here it's just him all alone kicking ass just like in old days. Plus i think the atmosphere in the last STDs were starting to become too sugar sweet, rather than fun.

@mayhem9024 But then again it's two different stories, made by two different companies. People can easily prefer one of them and simply ignore the other depending on how they prefer Spyro to be. Personally i shouldn't care that much. I've aged away from these games long time ago, and just wanted to see what has become of the lovely little dragon i grew up with. And Tbh, i think it could've been a lot worse, so i don't take it so heavy as many others do.

@fiscerspoonerfan Bs i saw the whole play through of this game and it is bad and has crap quality!I tis too repetitive and i would never get this game( Buy Spyro Eotd for the Nintendo gamecube becuase it is better in that version and has most of the glitchesexcpet for the stupid swimming gltich and it has a faster load time).If i want repetitive gameplay i Play Dynasty warriors or Warrioros orochi.

@Tyrik73 Seeing the game on Youtube and actually playing the game are 2 different things. On YT, Sonic '06 looks like an amazing game but in real life, it's too glitchy.
LOS is not perfect - I will like LOS more than the original series only if they make improvements on it.
Repetitive gameplay? Try Morrowind. Quests are like this: explore, fight (10 times), do something then complete the quest. It is the best game ever.
