Although the kids are defenceless and confused,between them they could have given that abuser a good beating.These kids are surprisingly strong.A friend of mine who was a carer in the UK had one 18 year old male resident in a home over power him,remove his trousers and was just about to go for penetration when another carer came in and rescued him.If the other person had not arrived he would have been raped by this resident and there was nothing he could do,the guy was just too strong

the practices that the staff follow in this former institution is the same practices that were followed at the same institution i lived for the first 5 and half years of my life. one of the reason they are cold to the children is because they are ordered to not form a relationship with the child in fear that the child will get attached to them instead of the people who want to adopted them. but it is instead cause psychological and neurological harm. and it will stick with me til i die.

As doctors and other people working in the medical profession would tell you, it's important to treat your patients/wards as objectively as possible. They ignore very serious malnutrition and injuries and don't even teach the children to speak and leave them on the toilet for hours - that is not treating them "objectively". I watched the documentary last night on bbc4 and cannot believe this is happening just because the parents decide to give up on these children merely because they are blind and or death. Its just disgusting and inhumane. It is insanity. This situation can be prevented but as usual the people who can do are dragging their heels. I wish I could help.
