In his solo career (from 70 to 80) McCartney has always been more on top of churning out albums far more innovative than Lennon.
Listen to "Pleding My Love" by Johnny Ace and you'll see that by putting this song has completely copied the text of "Happy Xmas", Asolta "Love Letters" by Elvis Presley will see that Lennon has put us on the text of "God", while Paul is original Lennon has always always been plagiarized, "Working Class Hero" seems to Dylan. Personally, I think you really can't say which one is better...only which one you prefer more. This doesn't mean you have to put the other one down, though. It just means your ears and sometimes even your heart hears and feels things differently with one than the other. Our life experiences and personalities also play a part in our preferences as well.

McCartney. He had an extraordinary melodic touch that perfectly complimented Lennon's more caustic sensibilities. And he had an incredible rock 'n' roll voice - one of the very best Britain ever produced. Lennon's singing talents were extremely limited.

Well, according on who's music talent I like best, I can't decide. But, I guess I'd have to pick John for that. John's voice was so unique- especially for the screaming vocals on some songs. Paul for personality, definetly. He was an animal lover and all, and had a calmer temper.

I love John, but about John as the genius of the Beatles are all clichés inculcated in people by bad press. Both of them were geniuses.
I can say this because I know very well their history and who invented things in their songs and who have found new ideas in their songs.
John many times asked for help to George Martin or Paul when he wanted new sounds. Paul found alone the solutions. People around them said this.

alright honestly everybody, everytime i comment on anything related to the beatles on here, i get like 34 thumbs-downs and a bunch of clowns yelling so i'm going to say a few things about how i feel about the beatles to clarify:
1. I EFFIN LOVE THEM
2. john lennon is awesome, he was simply a dick, so i like paul more (OH NO SOMEBODY KILL ME) but he was honestly a great dude and a master of music
3. ringo is fabulous. a great unique drummer. his solo career was great too

paul. john was a dickhead. a brilliant musician, and an excellent songwriter, singer, and guitar player. but he was such an asshole i would have to say paul. paul is a little bit less of a songwriter, but he is a wonderful man and didn't break up the beatles with a heroin addiction and a silly wife named yoko.

McCartney. He had an extraordinary melodic touch that perfectly complimented Lennon's more caustic sensibilities. And he had an incredible rock 'n' roll voice - one of the very best Britain ever produced. Lennon's singing talents were extremely limited.
Comparisons between these two will rage on until the human race finally dies out. Whomever you prefer I don't think you can argue that neither man ever produced anything to compare with their creations during the time they were exposed to

Well, according on who's music talent I like best, I can't decide. But, I guess I'd have to pick John for that. John's voice was so unique- especially for the screaming vocals on some songs. Paul for personality, definetly. He was an animal lover and all, and had a calmer temper.
So... John for music talent. (But its hard to choose).
Paul for personality. (Even though George's personality is my favorite)
And... I'm just going to add this one in.
For looks, I'd have to pick John.
