ur shifting way to late.... its not a gas mate...... shift around 3500 thats were the power bands at. its a diesel which works better at low rpms. go to high and u lose all power and most of all torque!!! ive got my own 90 hp tdi 04 model. and i can get it to go not to 60 in 9 secs. with no mods. completely stock and i still get 55 mpg. just shift a lil earlier. itll make the difference.

@tommyhopdrummerboy Once these cars become tuned, they start to make a lot more HP as well as torque. I myself have a TDI Stage 2 tune. 18 PSI on factory turbo, 205 injectors, race nozzles, EGR delete, MAF, and chip. Making about 140 HP and 240 torque. Boost lag can be a bit of an issue down low, and they seem to enjoy reving to 4 a little better now. I know when my TDI was factory, I didn't bother rev pasting 3200 since it had dick fuck all for HP.

@thedominionx of course it enjoys reving to 4 more now than it did. its got more air intake and less back pressure on the way out, plus bigger injectors to give it more fuel to rev up quicker, not to mention the chip. did you do anything to the gears... im gonna say no, so of course it will get to the higher rpms quicker, just because it can doesnt mean its quicker to shift that high.

UNLESS the power band completely changes to the higher range when mods are added,but i doubt its that drastic

szału nie ma. Ale nie mozliwe ze Bora w TDI ~150KM ciezsza od Golfa IV GTI i to sporo ktory ma ~160KM kreci ponizej 8s. Mam 1.8T i kreci w serii 8.5s po modach jakies 7.8 przy wadze obecnej ~1050kg. Bora ma jakies ~1400kg i do tego diesel wiec jak wykreci 9s to bedzie dobrze. Seryjny Golf IV 150KM TDI ARL kreci w serii 8.6s. Zmierz to jakims g-techem

My friend also has a 1.9Tdi that's chipped.. The funny thing about that cars is that it's as fast going up a hill, as it's going on straight road.. The only thing slowing it down is the gear ratio.

That looked more like 9s. Have you measured that using accelometer? Also top speed is about 190km/h(factory, might be litle more or less, also tires affect) Chip should not affect top speed. Gear ratios etc affect.

mate top speed is 230 (on manufacturer speedometer), so real one should be around 220. On this video I just ran up on quite huge hill. Fact is that my TDI PD is not the exception. Everyone who has experimented with TDI PD can cofrim that it is one of the best engines to be tuned. It has standard turbo, intercooler and so on. It just has modified ECU maps. And runs really good... I can ensure You guys that common rail really sucks in comparision with old VW TDI PD ;)

I just checked on various car data sites and it said that the top speed was 195km/h. In my 2005 Passat TDI (pd) manual there is the car specs so, have you checked there? I can get my passat near the 220km/h(208km/h factory) mark, but it is less than that. If you have a good GPS you can check the speed. Those engines are build to last and easy to be tuned. I had a chip 130Hp@165Hp, but now again original before installing a better chip. Anyways these car are geat!

No kolego nie wiem :) Robilem rozne pomiary, zmienialem biegi przy mniejszych obrotach. Po czipie charakterystyka silnika mocno się zmienia i tak akurat najlepiej mi się zbiera Borczysław... Tak czy siak mam teraz moc ograniczoną do serii, mocniejszy wsad wrzucam tylko na dalsze podróże po autostradach, nie ma sensu jeździc po dziurawych jak ser drogach po mieście. Jednak spalanie przy miejskiej jeździe jest większe na czipie. Inaczej jest poza miastem...

Dałem troche zły opis do filmu, tutaj Borka jest zrobiona na 160 pare kucyków. Skrzynia manualna 6cio biegowa. Na 130KM jednak idzie troche gorzej. Aaaa i jest to sedan, w srodku tylko ja... Mam do niej dwa sterowniki i jednak na codzien jezdze na 130hp, na 160 jak depniesz na gaz to zostawia za soba czaaaarna chmurę :) Hehehe. W dłuzsze podroze jednak 160HP jest duzo fajniejsze, spalanie praktycznie to samo a jedzie się o wiele przyjemniej. W miescie to kompletnie nie ma sensu :/

Aha własnie patrzyłem że coś dobrze ciągnie. Manual najlepszy Automat w Borze jakiś przymulony jest. Oczywiście że w trasie lepiej mieć więcej kucyków przy wyprzedaniu i na Niemieckich Autostradach heh. A jak na 160KM depnież w Gaz to zostawia czarny dym bo Diesle tak mają przy mocniejszym wciśnięcu albo bierze olej. Ale dzięki za odpowiedź POZDRAWIAM.
