Creation Science... one of the great oxymorons of our time, and hard evidence of the way in which religious delusion retards the development of mankind.
What can I say? America is predominately Christian.
The way I see it, they may be wrong, but who gives a fuck? Just let them think what they want? It's not like anyone's going to lose their job or die because they reject science...
yeah, live and let live, right? The problem is that antediluvian beliefs of religious zealots make their way into public policy and government. Palin is a pentecostal, What's driving the bombing of women's health clinics and the murder of doctors? religion in America...........why can't we have universal health care? the southern religious right hates progressives........
I think health care is just one of the many things the government should keep it's hands off. The majority of American health care is fine.
The government needs to be as far away from it's citizens as possible, and that means allowing gays to marry, let the free market be free, and let capitalism rule.
you apparently have some form of health care at this time. How would your opinion change if you suddenly lost health coverage and you had a young family?
I worked for IBM for many years and toward the end of my tenure a man named Lou Gerstner became CEO. During his 10 year tenure he made $813 million while laying off thousands of IBM employees and selling whole divisions to foreign interests. You may recall that IBM invented the PC and a few years ago sold the PC division to Chinese interests.
This is a common story in America. CEOs and executives making disproportionate salaries and bonuses. Capitalism has run amuck in America since the early days of deregulation commencing in the 1980s that have resulted in multi-billion dollar corporate meltdowns and fraud in the name of Enron, WorldCom, Bernie Madoff, etc etc., etc....
Who are the victims? answer: the american people. lassaize faire is fine in a perfect world where corporations have scruples.
well, you should care because you're paying their bonuses and they may be sending your job over seas so that they can get an even bigger bonus. Food for thought, it's been happening for years now but if you don't have kids maybe it doesn't have as much impact.
If I lost my coverage, I would be angry and frustrated. I would make sure that I get coverage, even if it killed me. Hell, I would fight to make sure I get my coverage back. I wouldn't let those motherfuckers drop me
well, death may be your final fate. Have you priced health insurance lately, especially COBRA? You don't need to fight it, you just need to be able to afford it, and that is the problem facing 40 or so americans .........

The creationist museum is dumb as hell, but it's not stalling scientific progress.

As for corporate CEOs, I don't care what they make.
I'm not going to hate on them for being successful. I mean, hell, their salary isn't affecting me at all, so.
