Actually Mozart made some variations on the theme which is used for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

I can highly recommend giving it a go, it's a very fun piece to play. Here is a video ID for YouTube: watch?v=NO-ecxHEPqI

It's 12 variations on the theme from a french folk song called "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" and the Mozart variations go by "KV 265".

Pure brilliancy. Every note is perfect. The counter melodies breath life on their own. Some of the most difficult things to do in classical is to master the bass notes....man you got it. It actually sounds like 2 people are playing this piece.

Its Bach, so no big gestures and phrases BUT there is a melody! Especially the beginning this aspect is lost. I would practice the piece in slow motion and both hands independently before again putting it together. Nevertheless I admire your stamina - I know how hard it can be to perform a piece "YouTube-ready".

Nicely done, Dennis! It is difficult to get that lightness, that clean separation between notes that a harpsichord version would have, but you do a great job off it! (I note that I prefer Baroque music performed on period instruments, so it is good to see you largely overcome the fullness of tone of the modern piano in this delightful performance!)
