If you think gettin errors EVERY FUCKING DAY is good, Not being able to play MW2 as everytime you go to play a match you get stuck on waiting for other players is good, If you think being signed out due to some error that sony can't be fucking assed to tell you what it means is good. Then you need help my friend.
Theres no problem with sony not lettin you sign in its your DNS code number which you need to get from your modem on the computer and need those numbers that have dots on em like this for example
EX:
XX.XX.XXX.XXX
and when you try to do the connection again instead of going automatic do manual on DNS and it should work
All people saying the fail rate % need to get their facts straight.
The PS3 fail rate is exactly the same as the 360 fail rate. Just because you don't read about all the reports, doesn't mean they aren't as high and or do not happen, it just means you don't hear about them.
Google PS3 Fail videos and you will find just as many as the 360 fail videos.
But what i find interesting is there are 2 fails with the PS3 and only 1 with the 360
Gamespot tells me the 2009 rate is ps3 10%, xbox 23% and wii 2%. posted Posted Sep 2, 2009 3:39 pm PT. still, another review tells me that 60% of 360 owners bought 2 of them to begin with, more numbers would mean a higher failure rate wouldn't you think? An issue like this on the xbox would be fixed within a couple hours because that is what we pay them for. Sure 23 friends make the number sound real big. If you had said 8 or 9 That would be believable. And don't make 360 sound like a saint cause RROD is still a big problem. And really "no games" what's 2007 last year ps3 had alot of successful exclusives.And this year we got Heavy Rain, GOW3, GT5, and The Last guardian.and many more. And as great as 360 is they had a very slow last year ODST, and Forza. This year you got only 2 big names alan wake and Mass effect 2.
And repairs had to be free for 360 cause of it's massive fail rate. Were they to always charge instead of making it free 360 fanboy wouldn't exist and 360 would've failed. PS3 fail rate is very small and I bet you friends had there system in a small confined and dusty space that cause it to heat up and cause it to get the yellow light. And since the fail rate is very small on ps3 why shouldn't they charge they already let people play online for free.
the ps3 fail rate is 11% while the 360 fail rate is 30%, in which 60% of those were people who bought 2 consoles. Ive Had my 360 for 2 years and had no problems. Your xbox will fail if you keep it in an enclosed space like a cabinet. its simple, just alot of people are dumbasses that dont realize the RROD is caused when it overheats and a set of chips around the X clamp become stressed and slide out of place.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist (actually I love being a conspiracy theorist LOL) but how in the hell did Sony fix that problem without a firmware update. Some people never play online and their systems were both mysteriously affected and mysteriously repaired too. Sony says the ps3 tried to log feb 29 as an actual date; maybe they are right. Maybe they know more than they are saying.
@thementalpatient2005 The truth is they did not fix the problem they said that to the owners to calm them down the truth was they waited 24 hours to see if the hours on the PS HQ motherboard would sync up and let the owners back in. If it did not do that then they would have fixed the problem right away with a firmware update.

Mine works now, but sony warned people about data loss, I wouldn't care if I lose trophies, as long as the game data itself is still there, better be.
@QQMarkPS2 put the game back on it'll reinstall the trophies into the PS3. once you take the game out sync the empty trophies to the servers and it'll give you back the trophies you lost. I did that with heavy rain it put it at 0% when i got the game out and synced it up it went back to 64%.
this error is occurring in respective places, maybe ther european places r ok, but dude, i live at south america and dis shit is in all the ps3 , mine and ma friend's

Damn today me and me friend were gonna play sniping Libya in mw 2 I wz gonna add Him and rite wen I started this message popped up and said error and I wz like watever I have awesome Internet connection but still went to network settings and after the ipp adress it just failed so I'm guessing it's the clock problem it's set back to 1999 lmao way b4 ps2

That's right. This is caused by a major clock bug. I think PS3 is on a maintenance. And i rly hope we should not get a fckin ps3 slim -.-

its only on the old fatty 1st gen ps3 all slims are good to go and up online someone reset the clocks at psn to before the system was ever out and and there working to fix it so chill guys ull be back up probably tomorrow in 24 hours so dont so restoring ur setting and creating other problems for ur self just find something eles to do in the mean time and dont post hate vids to sony because if u hated them u would own a ps3 in the first place

You also need a hard disk to format the correct clock software so that the your ps3 can sync with the correct time.

Ask a friend who has the slim and Download the firmware or system software. Go to system settings and Install Other OS
