  • thanks for the subtitles, without it we'd be lost

  • @sethfan1000000 hahaha

  • Sifu Kong : chop,chop,chop,chop,chop,chop ...

    FQ : chopstick ?

  • Damn I miss Hong Kong!

  • @BuddhaZenMind Damn i have never been in hong kong, lol

  • @internetmaster1 Hong Kong awsome there are Kung Fu schools everywhere...

  • am trying to find wing chun vs silat... u guys got any vids of it?

  • It looks messy. I remember in Ip Man, the first movie, when Yen was fighting 4 at a time, it looked beautifully done!

  • @sgal88 ARE U BEING DUMB OR IGNORANT? how can u compare a movie which had been scripted with a real life martial art fight?

  • @YeoSuanMei HEY you PIECE OF CRAP. I was responding to a previous comment I saw on another page. SO shove your comment up your ass or talk with some deceny befroe you make rhetorical comments.

  • @sgal88 AMERICAN,FOREVER IGNORANT

  • @YeoSuanMei Pathetic forever more

  • @sgal88 why am i lame?cuz i can differentiate between reality and fiction while u can't? trololol

  • @YeoSuanMei You are obviously shallow in your intellect. I explicitly stated that my comment was directed to another person. And by definition, a trol is an individual who wants to start an arugment, which was you. Get your facts straight before you sound like an idiot.

  • @sgal88

Sifu Kong is very good in that his technique looks very fluid.

  • This shows why Bruce Lee was such a bad ass. He grew up on some tough streets in Hong Kong.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Yeah I know, these guys aren't the best narrators lol but I admire that they show us a piece of the world I normally would never get to see for myself. Wing Chun is such a beautifuly effective art.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Offcourse, Im just being real. But we come to an understanding and we are not far from eachother. Peace out dude...by the way, did you allready comment on my video hahah

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Very true. What works for me dont need to be working for you and what works for you dont always work for me. But thats why I dont believe in styles and thats my answer about wing chun. I dont hate it or dislike it. I dont think its ultimate. I dont believe in it as a style. Offcourse there are some great techniques that are usefull and I also practice. Thanks bro..

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Again I know master wong if you mean the bold guy from England. He has some nice stuff but also stuff that dont work. Im not against him. I like his videos. I find some interesting things in there.

Check out my video. I just uploaded one video of my training today. Peace!

  • @TheMartialartsJedi I know master wong and he has some nice moves but also loads of BS. Yes you made a point that its the fighter who wins fights. But still the fighter should know some moves that work. Some combinations that are real, He must know how to box and block a punch or two. Need some grapplin for if he is taken down so he must know how to survive. Its all important. I dont believe in styles. I believe in fights, and techniques that makes you win fights.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi It's an old schoolgirl nursery rhyme where the girls sit and pat each others hands while singing the song.

  • You see in that sparring that student who is training there WC is easily beaten by the boxing of Jimmy. Thats becuz its stupid to attack like those WC guy do. No defence and underestimating the hookpunches and overhands from a boxer. Even though the Jimmy guy aint a real boxer. Now the sifu is telling him he is a fast learner hahah well thats stupidity offcourse. He aint a fast learner, his student is a bad fighter.

  • I dont like the aggressive wing chun style, I prefer to just stand there and block whatever they throw at me. Then attack, you shouldnt ever go after the opponent. Let them make the mistake of crossing your centerline.

  • sifu kong's version is unrefined wing chun.. real wing chun is different with simultaneous blocks and strikes.. here they go into punch exchange if there were no head gears it would be different and they would learn to understand and react lightning fast

  • am i the only one that is getting tired of dough calling what ever it is he does "boxing style"

  • lol at how biased the multiple opponent training is, kongs only has to deal with one at a time, not because hes really fast (although he is) but because theyr not going for him!

  • In the street fight scene, they came one after another to the fq guy. The FQ guy just didn't manage to k.o the first one and got surrounded. And how effective a style really is,is determined by urself and the teacher's methods.WC is not a sparring style,it is Kung Fu concept. Even an one inch punch can cuz a lot of damage, save a straight forward punch.A fight should be over in seconds. .This is the differnce between martial arts/sparring and real Kung Fu. LT is teaching for the avarage person.

  • A good boxer would pose a real threat to a wing chun fighter. I found it interesting that the FQ guys came into the back yard of the wing chun guys and pummeled them during sparring when they did what came naturally to them. This is no disrepect to Wing Chun. When the FQ guys forced themselves to stay within the wing chun technique frame work they experienced difficulty against the WC fighters,

  • Here is the problem, when sifu kong was attacked he was attacked one at a time. When the fq guy was attacked they converged on him all at once. If they attacked the Sifu the same way he would have ended up the same way as the FQ guy. Another thing, Wing Chun is an effective style how ever it is clearly limited. This is evident when both FQ guys spar the wing chun students. The boxing style punches score rather easily. This is because wing chun focuses greatly straight punching.

  • The FQ guy clearly has more fighting experience and would kick the practice buddy's ass.

  • 4:40 Not a Wing Chun punch? Not if you're a Siu Nim Tao fighter it's not. Only Siu Nim Tao fighters stick to the "Sun" punch. There are Chum Kiu hands, Biu Tze hands, Wooden Dummy hands, Long Pole hands, and Butterfly Knife hands. All the forms can be used. Not a Wing Chun punch my ass.

  • I love the way they weave punches through defenses, its amazing

  • Non-sense... one is traditional self-defense, the other is desperate combat survival with kill techniques rather than simple strikes and takedowns.

  • Wing Chun has its merits, but they keep their chins up. Also, if you move to the side you can score with hooks easily. But i do like a lot of what I see, especially the front kick down the middle.

  • 2:11- this is a great example why you should start learning wing chun

  • doug, you got a good chi sao despite being you first chi sao. well still very rough but you got the idea

  • 5:30 was not vertical punches. Good video never the less. ^__^

  • At 0:53 the narrator says "...under Grandmaster Sifu Kong."

This is wrong. In their lineage, it is Leung Ting who's the Grandmaster.

  • Hey that hong kong actor learn wing chun too

  • walao , HK actor also learn wing chun !!!!

  • The doc is full of lies...first wing chun is not a street fighting style...second some of the punches are not even wing chun....those who have learn or studied wing chub should have realize it

  • @akatsuki1993 Yes your right. the shifu in this video mixed wing chun with some boxing techniques. PERSONALLY i dun think this it's very good technique. By mixing boxing.

  • @akatsuki1993

Uhh Wing Chun is a street fighting style, It is known in the streets of China and HK that the Chinese triad does learn Wing Chun.

  • @fireyhope Er...I guess that's way many plp think of it now as a street fight style but base on the history of it I would think it's more of a defensive martial art

  • From what I'm observing for Wing Chun to be practiced as it was meant to be used in real life it's not good for full on continued sparring but better for short 10 second step sparring sessions. Like countering attacks. Although he didn't want Jimmy to keep backing away, Wing Chun seems to be best moving forward and a sparring match will always have people moving away if it continues past one counter attack. So short step sparring is better outside of flow drills for Wing Chun imo.

  • pathetic

  • pathetic

  • CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP xD

  • whoops i mean KONG**?!

  • whoa whoa whoa hold up. the guy in the wife beater, isnt he from TVB?! WHOA HES STUDYING UNDER LEUNG TING?!

  • funny you should mention leung ting and wife beater in the same sentence

  • leung ting is friggin crazy

  • sifu kong is better theen leung ting its my opinion

  • Absolutely agree

For one thing, sifu kong (and most other sifus) doesn't boast about having some PhD in some unknown areas.

  • Punch to the throad might not be lethal since a punch involves a fist which is a large area and may get blocked by the chin. But a good WC/WT guy could show you the proper way to strike the throad (and kill) is to use finger jabbing, called Bil Gee in WC. And if you've watch KungFu movies this's also what the Snake style is about - finger jabbing to the eyes/throat.

  • Finger jabbing is very inaccurate, as I've found in whilst playing around. It is also very weak. And no, it isn't deadly, it just hurt like a b----.

  • neh you need to condition your fingers . i see people break stuff by fingers . swear .

  • actually, just chop will do

  • SHit

  • Guy got punched in throat after he was knocked out by slam- he was fine. Look up slams mma highlight. I've been punched in the throat, I didn't die.

  • its not allways deadly just could be like getting hit in the chest with a hockey puck mor often then not all you get is a bruse but players have died on the ice from that

  • Okay, I'll buy that- I just hate exaggeration.

  • Man, Jimmy always has some problem with the method or technique, or has an injury. He seems to need to stretch more!

  • For guys who think Wing Chun sucks, go pick a fight with Sifu Kong and see if you still say that! He's brutal!

  • one of the students of sifu kong is a hk celeb =D

    the translating guy =D

  • you live in hong kong ? if yes whats sifu kong's address i wanna learn from him after my army

  • sifu kong is so good

  • lol may i remind everyone for those that think that sifu kongs wing chun isnt really wing chun that there are many different lineages, concepts, theories, forms( more than the commonly known 6) and more.

  • WC IS THE BEST

  • @Khenz1001 Each an everyone kung fu in this world can consider the best... they may lose or may not lose.. its all depend on how much will you can to learn kung fu or martial arts and MOST IMPORTANTLY IS THE PERSON NOT THE KUNG FU.

  • wing chun is awesome i do jujitsu and it has deadly moves but damn

  • Comments made without investigation shows ignorence. He was there to learn, a seasoned WT fighter would have used feet knees elbows head and body to win.

  • i.e we dont train to fight!

  • A lot of people miss the point of wing chun if you watch the attacks made by a descent wing chun practioner is aimed at the neck or a vulnerable point that would prob kill you or leave you seriously fucked up!

  • jimmy gets hurt like every damn episode

  • look at 4:30 minutes and you will see a difference between the full method and no method

  • this is NOT wingcun GMLT is showing just bullshit, the real wingchun that train them is totally different

  • what I dont understand is that he is hitting the guy using boxing punches driving the punches through because of the long reach of his arms but he has to fight in there style thats whats bruce lee was talking about

  • there is one good idea or two but it may be not work on real situation if punches against u are real not fake and weak like here:)

  • its just a little funny to me: like in the Krav Maga episode when Doug has to defend himself against multiple opponents they suddenly come at him all at the same time but not on the trainer!

On the trainer they wait till he can beat one after the other!

  • Why did they had to get such an asshole narrator?

It totally destroys the feeling of the whole show...

  • Why's he an asshole? Because he has a british accent?

  • Simpley because of the fact that a narrator is needed that never was there in the previous episodes before... It ruins the feeling why I enjoyed the show from the beginnig.

And it has nothing to do whit his accent...

    Have a good day.

  • LIMP QUEST! :D

  • WTF, Jimmy punched the guy fair and square, you can't say it's against the rules if it works.

  • poor jimmy...

  • did i just hear that right?

"you can get through a fight with an injury as long as you don't let your opponent know you have an injury"

Really? so, lets say you have several fractures, who's up for fighting!

  • My Kyokushinkai teacher once had his forearm broken (thigh kick) in the first twn seconds of a knockdown fight. He managed to keep going for the full two minutes and won byt breaking two of his opponents ribs (with other hand).

  • i think your karate teacher is either a lier or was on a drug trip when telling you that.

  • when you get a point against you, you dont need a drugtrip

  • Or maybe his teacher was lucky

  • out of sync... unfortunately...

    Gr8 upload though :)

  • Agreed sorry to see this presentation of Wing Tsun as it just doesn't seem that good. Where is the fluidity and the softness you see with so many other masters. Look at Wan Kam Leung for instance, his style is also hard, but just seems so much better. I have practised wt for many years, and I know that when you get in a fight, well staying relaxed is difficult. And I agree the pole is a bit unnecessary. And where I was taught WT, the first thing we learned was not Chain punches but Siu Nim Tao

  • I dont mean to sound rude, but i just don't believe any of the masters here have fought on the street much, or at all.. When you look at the hands of a person who fights in the street, they have got huge callouses on their knuckles and tell-tale signs of past broken knuckles.

I just don't buy into this...

BTW.. i still think WC is cool..

  • Sifu Kong Chi-keung is obviously way way better than grandmasturbator leung ting on this evidence.

LTs wing tsun system seems too much based on overwhelming your opponent with chain punch pressure.

Soon as someone angles and redirects that chain punch attack, theyre wide open on their flanks, coz theyre too committed to their own assault, and not feeling whats changing.

LT is so keen to close distance, he doesnt even have space for his own punches lol.

  • @gudster i noticed that to, only chain puches

  • @gudster I think you have no idea what you're talking about. Have you been to a LT WT lesson?

  • @themysteryperson

no my friend, but i been to Ip Ching lessons instead.

Why would i struggle with Skoda, when i can cruise with Ferrari... if you get my drift

  • Hahaha.. They wont teach those whitey proper wing chun.. trust me.

  • 0:34 lol guy getting punched in the face

  • falcon punch

  • what the hell did u expect? first of all Leung Ting's form isnt spelled wing tchun, its wing tsun, and second of all it is impossible to teach these two guys the basics of wing tsun or wing chun in 5 days? if you have any experience from wing tsun or wing chun at all, which it seems like u have, u should know that..

i'd say this is the opposite of desgrace, its damn good advertising for both WT and WC

  • but see, it's not good advertising. Its embarrasing. I respect both masters but the simple fact is that this episode has done far more to harm the legitimacy of the art than help. It vlearly shown that western boxing uttwerly destroys wing chun chain punching. If they were goign to fight in 5 days they should have been learning blocks and combinations agasint resisting opponents not theroy and long pole. a showcase of the art but when it came time to prove it, wing chun's h2h skill was laughable

  • fact is, theres probly nuthin useful you can learn in WC in 5 days, other than maybe attempting getting your elbows in line (seeing as thats the whole basis for interception/jamming/redirection of incoming force, and your own short range attacks .)

and i concur... that was an embarrassing advertisement.... especially for the W Tsun variety.

  • (almost) no advertising is bad advertising, because of this program more ppl know of wing tsun. this is not a fighting sport, it's an art of self defense best applied on situations like dark bars where you are nose to nose with a violent drukie. it cannot be used to its full efficiency in a duel against a stronger opponent (as in this case). the art is based on the fact that there are no rules, crushing some1's crutch is considered good, because your chance of saving urself from danger rises.

  • EDIT:

and that ((crushing some1's crutch)) was not allowed - because of the rules. to win a 1v1 duel against someone stronger (with regular fighting rules) using WT requires that you are a highly skilled wing tsun master, the two men that the guys in the show stood up against was NOT highly skilled, and therefore the result was obvious - they american guys won because of strenght. and THAT, people should understand, and if they do understand the advertising is nothing but advertising in the....

  • EDIT:

...manner that it reaches out to more ppl :)

  • Fighting sports are just as effective. To claim otherwise is just uninformed.

  • It's effective. It's just that when compared to martial arts that aren't fighting sports, it's generally at a disadvantage.

  • you are missing my point, i said that these two guys was supposed to learn kung fu within 5 days and then be able to fight using the art form - thats pathetic and cannot be done; LT and the other master already knew this. and thats why they did a showcase. it was obvious that the two guys didnt use the artform correct, and therefore the thought of how dangerous they could become IF they knew wingtsun is just as obvious.

  • Ok, I have to respond to this. I disagree. You're entitled to your opinion but I as a complete novice in the wing chun system could take 2 mma fighters and train them to fight with wing chun in 5 days easily. It's more than enough time to take two already competent fighters and teach them a new way to spar. this isn't 5 days 2 hours a day this 5 days intensive training. Y'wanna know why the end sparring was pathetic? Becasue they trained to fight for only about 10 percent of the time.

  • they used it as an opportunity to show off alot of the culture and asthetic exponents of the art. Not a single time did I see them working any alive drilling using any of the wing chun blocks or redirections. Whyt would lt show him the long pole for a h2h fight? it was absurd, in 5 days to fight forget the forms, forget the long pole, forget the multiple opponents, none of that was relevant to a one on one sparring match, did they do any combination training? conditioning?

  • And then, as if that wasn;'t enough they ,of course, reverted to thier boxing training and were they shown why that might've beena good idea when facing wing chun simultaneous attakc adn defense? no, they dominated thier opponents and showed boxing completely destroy the chun. As a wing chun student I am embarrased by the preformance of the wing chun fighters themselves. I saw no takedown defneses or sprawl training either so I can only be thankfull they didnt allow grappling..

  • it's better than where i live....ppl THINKING they are masters (claiming to be ip man student etc.) but i think they know nothing about wing chun

  • Ok those of you who watched IP MAN movie.. The fighting has nothing to do. This looks just like poor boxing.

  • ITS A FUCKING MOVIE LOSER, this is what wing chun is movie fights are ment to entertain not be correct, fuck your arragant

  • Sifu Wong Shun Leung is and always be the true MASTER!!!

He would shit on Leung Ting!!!

  • were you agreeing with me or what haha?

  • Isnt the style sifu Leung Ting teaches called Wing Tsun? and not Wing Chun ..

  • where is wong shun leung to see this crap

  • Wing Chun is cool, if you don't get in a clinch.

  • the clinch is part of the WC curriculum

  • Really, why didn't they show it?

  • its a TV show and its always bias. In truth, in this episode they showed less then what i learned in first wc lesson.

in this episode they only showed the fists of wc and they totally neglected the elbow and knees, which usually occur from the clinch.

WC is suppose to be in the same league as muay thai (i cross trained). But 98% of the wc videos on you tube neglect the core of all fighting arts: power and evolution

  • Thats really cool. I began training muay thai 2 years ago, and last week my coach approached me about training in Jeet Kun Do. I noticed the two styles worked really well together.

I'm not bragging or anything but my coach trained directly under Dan Inosanto since he was 19...... yea i'm bragging

  • wtf does this have to do with wing chun? who cares what you learned?

  • The Sifu can alwasy trash his students. VT is deadly though, so one can demonstrate but a real application means someone dies. Not desirable. The "final flurry" was not VT. It was rapid punches, not the same. True VT would call for complete control of the opponent to enter or upon allowing them to enter.

Still very good stuff. The control to stop when a technique has worked instead of wildly punching allows the safe application of the exercises.

  • 5 STARS

  • ty:)

  • When they first multiple-attacked the sifu, each fighter kinda waited. But when Doug was attacked, they swarmed. Much respect to Wing Chun, but that wasn't a fair comparison. Which is what I don't like about how many martial arts are taught. Students are conditioned to throw a punch or kick and then stop when their instructor or higher authority are teaching. I like full contact and going until the opponent is neutralized- like you see in Krav Maga or other wing chun videos.

  • couldn't agree more...that is how we train wing chun, full force no matter who it is because thats designed how it is to be used

  • street fighter is that another name 4 traid soldier im not kidding this is hong kong

  • that sparring sucks

  • Leung Ting not good... how is he grandmaster. Doug's Sifu is way better...

If you want a real Wing Chun legend ...check for Emin Boztepe

  • granted Emin is great but until you have trained under Leung Ting, learn a little respect.

  • i dont wanna disrespect him...im just sayin ...i know he's Emin's master but still i like emin more...hes true legend.

  • he is amazing ill grant you that. I think teacher and student just focus on different areas of the art. Leung Ting seems to be all about the striking as his focus while his student(Sifu Boztepe) from what ive seen anyway really enjoys the trapping aspects. Neither would I wish to piss off lol.

  • so true... :D

  • I agree with what you are saying to some extent. I like Doug's Sifu's attitude to wing chun as well as the 'respect your master' idea that hasen't 'gone to his head' and he seems more of a 'cool guy' I suppose, probably because of his age

  • I've met Emin. He's a thug. Still glad he beat up William Cheung, though. I don't like Emin & Leung Ting, but Cheung's the worst of the lot.

  • Leung Ting's student is really bad I must admit also I'm a student of the Leung TIng WT style myself.

We aren't all such pussys :P

  • 2:11 Doug got pwned...LOL

  • actually, not the same situation.

the wing chun master just fight the guy one by one....

  • that sparring is a joke...lol

  • Leung Ting's student sucks sooo bad in sparring... and he's a technician... :((
