  • That snake looks like mine!?!?

  • I want to kill the mouse im going to give to my spider..but the fucking mouse is so cute i cant fucking doi it !!

  • @jrojeck Freshly killed smell more living to a snake and might have a better chance of being eaten. Frozen is even more humane though, since they kill by gas. Frozen also kills the possible sicknesses on the mice. I'd say they're pretty equal, though killing them might not be for weak hearted.

  • Ugh, the bone crackling gave me the willies. I'm doing my research for my new snake. I know there's kind of an argument for either type of feeding method but what really is the benefit to a freshly killed mouse over a frozen one?

  • That corn snake looks exactly like mine

  • This is a great video. I think you can also mention that if people (like me!) are sqeemish to pull the head, a pencil or screw driver lengthwise behind the head works too. Lucky for me, all my snakes eat frozen thawed, so I hardly have to kill my own! :)

  • Mine refuses dead prey, but she is real old and although she has been bitten she hasn't even became harmed.

  • Mine refuses to eat dead. :(

  • murderer

  • @UltraGOD

    nature sucks,

  • isnt the most humae way to kill a mouse to just lop its head off with a knife?

  • thought you weren't supposed to feed a snake in the same place that it lives?

  • @mjlow123 That's a good rule to follow, however, some snakes have a disposition thats good enough that it doesnt make a difference. Corn Snakes for example are notoriously well mannered and can be fed in their cage typically without issue.

  • @gromann ok thanks

  • How old was your corn snake when you made this?

  • murder

  • @colimonk2 lol good shit bro

  • @colimonk2 lol

  • @colimonk2 good luck spending the money cause cats are pricy lol if your snake eats cats thats a little weird

  • Thanks for the video, I always wondered how to quickly humanely kill a mouse should the need arise when my ferrets can't finish the job. Thanks.

  • thats a preaty snake

  • What morph is that snake

  • It does appear to be the most humane way that i have seen it done, though i just wonder 1 thing... shouldn't you have pulled quicker than that? As when pulling either way it seemed to be kinda drawn out, so wondered if the mouse would still be in pain because of that? I thought it was supposed to be a quick tug so the death is instant...

  • I dunno why i wached it cause i hate snakes ...!

    Eww !

  • man nature is so brutal :( but thats just nature. nice vid

  • Your snake is lovely~ <3 I am having trouble with my ball not eating... I know it is normal for them to take fasting periods, but I think that maybe if I try this method it might entice her more (not sure though??) Since I have bought her, she has been always reluctant to eat the frozen/thawed food. She never strikes, just would EVENTUALLY eat it, which I am not so keen to leaving a dead mouse in the cage... I will try to do this method and see how it goes!

  • beautiful snake man :)

  • mine looks like that

  • i guess its an american thing to always feed live, truth is if you have a snake from hatchling and feed it thawed mice from start it will eat it.

theres only few reason a snake wont eat thawed in preference to live is if its wild caught snake or its been fed on live from start.

there is no scientific proof what so ever that its healthier to feed live or recent killed as like in this video.

i dont disagree with this video because its probabbly always fed this way

  • baboy ka yangka tenmo so nipay dingka katawan katambombay mebot sarka

  • i like you. ur the only person who cares for the mouse! other people are like fuck the mouse and laugh and stuff. and u gave great advice as well and how they shud be pets. i really like this vid

  • cool feeding technique

  • have any videos of the wall banging technique? i'm more of a visual person and it would probably be better to see "what not to do".. thanks!

  • Awsomeeee it scared me when it snatched it lol!

  • i wonder if the mous feels soft going down your throat, imma go buy one and see

  • how about you just not own a corn snake. Let nature do it's work.

  • so sad

  • I BARFED BUT COOL WAT IF A BOA

  • Shes is the kind of snake i want :c, the peppermint cane is also my favorate.

    Shes really pretty :)

and yeah, thats a easy way to kill them, its fast so. its great O:

  • Why dont you feed it alive?

  • @fearmycomments He doesnt feed it alive because mice can bite and scratch the snake in self defence.

So its more safe for your pet to feed it dead food.

  • fag

  • @basil713texas wtf makes him a fag

  • @whitneykeliher wow your a baby :| serious, Its a fucking mouse there are like 6 trillion of them

Like really? you need to wake up and see death fucktard.

Also he, warned pussys like you ;3 har har to bad~

  • @whitneykeliher most snakes are aggrophobic - meaning they don't like large open spaces. If they are in a large open space they get insecure and won't eat properly. also a live mouse could harm the snake thus increasing the risk of infection the snake (which can lead to death)..... Is it cruel now?

  • @whitneykeliher collection killed the mouse.. not him or the snake

  • @TedWinni you see him killing the mouse?

  • @YtheLawl Selection killed it FACT

  • WOOOOOOOW

  • god does not hate anyone for humanly killing a mouse so a snake can feed. god made the circle of life, to live some animals must kill, its either the mouse is killed humanly or is strangled by the snake

  • @toliveforjesus you r right

  • lol "I hope you enjoyed the cracking sound"

  • I know guys what the hell, he warns you, you watch it, and you complain...

  • Shut the fuck up bible thumping faggots, The snake needs to eat, in my opinion i ite the head off the mouse first but this is humane, Fuck you religious faggots and actually open your fucking eyes.

  • @M9helghast stfu...

  • A biology professor has her students kill mice by putting the shaft of a pencil over the neck, grabbing the tail, and pulling the body over the pencil by the tail, thus snapping the neck. She said that the mouse feels no pain at all.

  • sunglow?

  • amelanistic i have one that looks just like it

  • I tried killing a mouse using ur way for my ball python. I think I'll let my snake do the killing from now on

  • Same, i hunt and live in ND and dont have a problem ringing a pheasents neck. although i know it isnt the best... ill leave my snake to do the killing...

  • Wow you have a beautiful snake there. I got a ball python and getting a corn soon maybe. That colour is amazing!

  • damn thats awesom snake it wolfed that mouse down......either that or u havent fed it in a month.

  • muhha haha fuck mous muhahaha

  • awesome

  • Dude, just buy frozen dead mice. They are killed by Co2 Gas which doesn't make them suffer.

  • ya but its cheaper to breed them and the mouse dies in like a second this way.....plus some nutrients r lost when frozen.

  • Do you live in a dorm?

  • that was a nice kill by the snake :)

  • He warned all of you ahead of time of the content for this video, if you complain about it you are merely attempting to cause trouble

  • thank you i just recently had my bumble bee nipped by one so thank you for the video

  • Nice video man. Lots of good info.

    ^^

  • Nice to see a video on here of someone actually feeding a prekilled mouse, To those that don't agree, it's more humane to prekill the mouse than to let it die by constriction/suffocation. Much quicker and less painful for the mouse. Plus your snake is not going to risk getting injured by feeding it live prey.

  • everyone who thinks that corn snakes are venomous is an idiot. wow.

  • yeah i know

  • Or they are not snake nerds like some of us. Maybe a better approach than calling someone an idiot would be to try and educate them.

  • @reggaegeetar they kill by constriction

  • @reggaegeetar my dad thinks that my corn snake is venomous he is so retarted

  • @hamstergamer1 haha

  • so they already took out the venom

  • so you can have a corn snake as a pet and they wont bite and are they poisonous and good video 5 out of 5

  • WOW um... No, Corn Snakes are not poisonous, they are like King Snakes, no venom at all.

  • hey, chill bro, why are you so mad, he humainly put down the mouse. that mouse was born to die, ,just as we all are, everything eats and everything is eaten, one day worms will be eaeting me and you, i don't know about you but i hope to die in a way similar to that mouse, quick, and painless. anyway, please, calm down bro! ur name is Tamarujana, i think you would be a little more laid back. hah.

  • wow! thanks alot bro! great way to humanly kill it, beautiful snake!

  • id rather just slam them your method is way to hands on for me

  • why do you get all sad?

  • Hay thank you for finding a way to kill a mouse without using toxic co2

  • Too bad you're the only idiot here.

  • heyy its maddie the dog :) nice video

  • 0:51 it randomly come out of nowhere lol it reminds me of my snake but mine escaped :(

  • i love the color of ur snake hes/she is like a nice bright orange and thats the most humane way to kill a mouse ive seen most ppl smash them off tables or something oh and for ppl saying thats cruel feed it frozen yea how do u think the mouse gets frozen? magic? no someone KILLS it then frezees it

  • why not frozen then just kill live

  • i dont think i could do that i'll stick to frozen lol

  • Yeah Same If Anything Live Not Like That I Cudnt Do It

  • I must be soing it wrong. You make it look so easy. I tried this & the mouse keeps squirming, biting & grabbing onto my fingers n stuff. Maybe I gotta keep practicing. PS. Tazer guns don't work. It just makes them smell like burnt hair & immobises them for a few seconds only & lands up still biting my snakes. Hmm, I reckon I should post the taser video on youtube...

  • thats the snake i am getting :) there awesome and beautiful

  • my snake eats it alive neck first!

  • like the vid mate. and its nice that you give really good advise. i been working with snakes for about 3years now and never seen that method of killing a mouse we just get them by the tail and wack them on edge of a desk

  • do u know the dry ice method, for yard rats?

  • i have a corn snake which is about 4 weeks old, he wont eat pinkys on his own or from my hand and i dont know why. got any ideas? the pet store fed him normally on pinkys.

  • i just hold by the tail and hit them of the desk

  • what is that mean hold a tail and hold a neck then pull squeeze a mouse body

  • thank you for being edjucated and learning to take care of your snake and killin food for it humainly....YOU ARE AWSOME!!!! that is a beautiful snake to dude....i want a corn snake so bad...do you take it out often?? and how often do you feed it?? you dont supposed to take it out before or after feeding right??? how long do you wait till you can take it out?? and what are there tempers like??? do they bit a lot??? thanx....keep it up!! shes a beaut!!!!!!!

  • you learned it from your chiropractor... lol. ?? oh and yes that is pretty sick to bang it against the wall.. I really don't agree with what your doing tho...

  • Wow! That is fabulous, well not for the mouse. That is so much better than the wack 'em method. I prefer frozen thawed but that's just because I buy in bulk. I get a much more enthusiastic response from picky eaters from pre-killed.

  • can you make a video of you feeding a live mouse to the snake

  • some of my snakes wont take frozen thawed yet so gotta keep recently killed on hand to ween them off of live prey

  • @MrScienceGeek why would a live rat be better than a frozen thawed

  • no offense but if it doesn't mind frozen mice why do you kill a live one. there is no difference except when their frozen the kill the parrasites i'm not trying to be mean i just want to know

  • Well if you think about it! Frozen mice have to be what (______) before being frozen? Exactly! It has to be killed before being frozen. Yes and killed the same way.

  • but it has to suffer. what if lions were inteligent and fed humans to their kids?

  • but they don't! And I'm glad about that fact

  • i have no room to talk cuz if i had a snake id do the same thing. its nice that you kill them first tho

  • wait the mice dont suffer when u do that method?

  • they do but its not as bad as being eatin alive

  • try tapping the pinkie on the snake (on its body not on the snakes head) this will bug the snake into a feeding response if nothing else into bluff biting so tha it will eventually eat it, Ive heard of force feeding it, though I wouldnt recomend this at all! um what works for me with my problem eaters i.e. my ball python is to rub it on a gerbil, as gerbils are the "sirloin stake dinner" of the snake world.

  • Hi,

    great video!

i've recently purchased a 1 month old corn snake an am having difficulty to get it to eat its pinkies.

he still seems a little scared of me whenever i go into its tank.

any ideas on how to solve this?

  • good luck with the children's python, they can be quite nippy, hopefully yours is a nice one:)

  • Thanks for sharing this. I bought a new children's python last week and it was feeding day today but I wasn't too keen on whacking the mouse against a wall and didn't have any vinegar or bi-carb soda to gas it. I've read descriptions on how to kill mice humanely but it's a lot easier to understand and replicate after watching this video. My snake gulped it done in 5 minutes flat!

  • works on anything that has a backbone (vertabrate), thing is with a rat, you'd just want to make sure you have the head much more secure so it doesnt bite you when it tries to escape, also being larger it would take more force (obvously:).

  • Can u do that with a rat too?

  • they can get about 5 feet long, and id reccomend at least about a 55 gallon (length is important) for an adult

  • how big do the snakes get when there fully grown? (corn snakes) and whats the right zise for a tank for a fully grown corn snake?

  • yes I think quick is more humane, though sometimes my snakes at first wont take it unless it is fully alive (i.e. my ball python)

  • Great video. No unnecessery suffering that you sadly see a lot of on youtube.

  • im not one for doing things like that like breaking bones with my own hand, if i had to pre kill my own mice i wud probably just set a mouse trap and stick their head in it and let the trap do the work lol

  • Does it work for rats?

  • thanks always wnted to kno the prper way
