Nebraska did beat MSU 24-3, but they lost the very next game 28-25 against Northwestern. Nebraska has a 3 game stretch of good teams. They have Penn State's defense yet. Then they have to deal with Michigan, who is a much better team this year (Michigan did lose to MSU, but MSU has a good defense overall). Then Nebraska has to deal with a decent Iowa team as well. In my opinoin, Nebraska does not have a defense capable of handling Michigan.

Thanks to their earlier loss to MSU and Nebraska's loss to Northwestern this past weekend, MSU has sole position of 1st place in their division. I will go on to further say though that MSU lost 24-3 to Nebraska.

As you said, Michigan has won far more games than MSU and also has a much higher winning percentage (.735 compared to .592 for MSU) and at one time beat them 8 years in a row. In fact Michigan has the highest winning percentage in all of college football. Besides, MSU is going to be clobbered by Wisconsin next week anyway so their little celebration will be short lived.
