  • Btlausd- Exactly. There are so many other factors in the obesity epidemic than just "stop eating". We know it isn't "that easy", if so, we'd ALL be thin! Why, if our government is "so concerned" do they not make healthy foods cheaper to buy, than the junky, fatty, sugery foods? That might be a start too. jmho is all. :)

  • I agree with you Cynth

    Many factors indeed.

when people are dismissive that leads to anxiety rage anger and more problems. I used to have a friend who was so oooo anti fat. later I realized it was because he was obsessed about his own weight because he had an ugly face (his words). his bone to pick...his attitude was based on his own shortcomings and difficulty with meeting the right women.

  • Want to lose weight? Stop eating!

  • Oh well, that's a concept! Where the hell would this world be without your knowledge! *rolls eyes*

  • 'stop eating" and dieting, and nutrition and metabolism and genetics and medical issues and public schools feeding our kids fructose and fattening starchy garbage. there are many reasons some are thin and some are overweight. what about the availability of healthy foods and the preponderance of fast food everywhere?

  • Hey V.B.,

There are many factors involved in losing weight; "stop eating" is not an option since we all have to eat to live unlike "stop smoking" or "stop chewing gum". Heredity, stress, peer pressure, allergies to food and many other items contribute to a person ability or inability to control their eating habits. Obviously your comment speaks volumes about your prejudices.
