The Pentecostal Movement, as a movement, defined by its unique characteristics, is not Biblical. things that define the Pentecostal Movement are not Biblical. It is not Biblical to say, that speaking in tongues is a sign of receiving the Holy Spirit, and if you haven't spoken in tongues you haven't received the Holy Spirit--that is not Biblical. It is not even Biblical to encourage people to speak in tongues, as if that in itself, was some spiritual gift that everybody had to have.
Study more history, and less bible and there'd be A LOT less war and killing in the name of Deity. Some moron the other day was going on about Josephus and his eyewitness testimony. As for me going to hell for speaking in tongues.....I was baptized with the Holy Ghost baptism. I speak in tongues as God's Spirit gives the utterance. I do know that Satan also can transform himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) but I assure you that I am to the best of my ability, serving the only One True God, Jesus Christ.
I am not by any means perfect but I do love my Savior with all of my heart, mind, soul, & strength. I also do not put down any other denomination. For we are all supposed to be serving the same God. As for me going to hell for speaking in tongues.....I was baptized with the Holy Ghost baptism. I speak in tongues as God's Spirit gives the utterance. I do know that Satan also can transform himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) but I assure you that I am to the best of my ability, serving the only One True God, Jesus Christ.

@uncleboring I know the "preacher" whom you are referring to. I have seen many of his videos. From what I have seen this guy is not Pentecostal (he is baptist) & he does not even preach from the bible. The stuff he is preaching is outlandish. Steven something is his name. I am not going to sit here & judge a person but the bible says you will know a person by the fruits they bear. I didn't say he would go to hell, I can't say that he will for I am not God.

@HeavenlyInspiredSoul I am and I am also going to add that the Pentecostal faith is actually evil. I used to be one and it tore my family apart. I have seen quite immoral behaviour from Church members (including staff) and have seen a lot of hypocrisy. I now am an atheist and to leave the Church was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I've seen the damage this insipid religion does to peoples lives and minds first hand. I judge based on what I have seen.

@uncleboring im a pentecostal and i understand what ur feeling but ur judging based on what uve seen? why? ask yourself and seek your heart..must you judge those who praise JESUS like crazy ? im a pentecostal standard believe that but the rest of my family is roman chatolic..but thats not stopping me from seeking and knowing JESUS more..
