Husky I gotta say, first, I agree with you that these new maps are just brilliant, but I wud also say that the other races are fairly even with zerg (random player here, diamond :P) as every game when a Terran gets an FE, for example, and so does the z. they are suddenly not equal but in favour of terran :P

also if the protoss here had used the OP forcefields he would've done alot better in that fight :)

Since the GSL kind of took it into their hands to make "Pro fiting Maps that are up to modern standards" - Would you (husky) or anyone else for that matter, see it as a possibility that they will change unit stats, base build times, etc. ... on their own. the reason the toss had such a small army in the early game is because he exapneded off one gate way....he should have tried to contain the zerg and expand later. If you can contain a zerg into the mid to late game you will almost always win

I think often times people look at games like this and cry that zerg is OP, that roaches or hydras are OP and OMG they're unstoppable, but if you look at the army tab you can see that the zerg player was a good 50 supply ahead at the time of the final battle. A 50 supply advantage is hard to beat whatever the match up. Corruptors hard counter Colossus, sure, but the trick is more in not letting the Zerg out-macro you so quickly.

I completely agree. When I said it's important not to let the zerg out-macro you what I meant was that it's your responsibility when playing against a good zerg to either launch a good timing attack before the macro gets out of control, or to stay on top of your scouting and be prepared when the macro kicks in with defense or good tech choices. Either way, if you leave the zerg alone you definitely won't out-macro THEM! =D

when husky started analyzing the game after it ended it was pretty cool because he kept it relatively short. but anymore half the video is of him talking and just because he talks longer doesnt mean it adds more value he's just rambling now and literally just talking about every single thing that went on in a literal sense. hes not even analyzing he's just repeating. You make a good point about the old maps getting stale and I love these GSL maps. But Starcraft needs to appeal to more than just the pros. It would be a bad call for Blizzard to say, "we don't like cannon rushes and 6 pool. We're changing our maps to eliminate various strategies.". New maps with more pro potential are great, but we can't abandon casual players
