Chatreeo makes these videos more for showing models of guitars if you havent noticed all the videos, as well. Finaly, Slash is not the foremost expert on guitar either. As far as mainstreem music goes he is good but for a broader range of guitarists he would be on the lower half of the total.

Cryin by joe satriani has more appropriate "shredding" moments(if thats what you r lookin for.This shows he is fully capable of understanding were the "wow-effect" lies.Also Izzy Stradlin is better at guitar than slash. Slash seems to have a minimal understanding of music theory as his solos are as simple as ACDCs.

@marcusmarkmus I'm sorry but nearly every ACDC song is made of is in the key of G with a solo based on a blues scale with an A being the root. Just how this is a guide line with ACDC, Slash(while in GNR) played songs in the Key of G but his solos were with minor and major pentatonic scale guide lines. This doesnt mean I dislike Slash and Angus Young but that they are OK at guitar on a scale of all guitarists.

@marcusmarkmus well if you get into music theory you will see that the blues scale is a minor pentatonic scale with an accidental between the 3rd and 4th notes. In the key of G the minor pentatonic scales available to fit in that key would be A B E and F. That is why it is easy to make a blues scale style solo for your song for with any of these roots. Nearly everysong is like this for both bands so I'll name two popular ones. Sweet child o mine and back n black.

Look up For the Love of God by Steve Vai.He's a student of satriani's and is very advanced in the subject.I also said there is nothing wrong with like Slash either.
