This particular recording is by Taco 1982. Fred Astaire did the original 1929 Irving Berlin Version Then Irving Berlin rewrote a less racist version for Fred Astaire in the movie Blue Skies in 1946. The 1946 Fred Astaire version is the definitive one. Taco's video of this recording resurects the racism of the original though with images rather than words.

@winggoddess The original Irving Berlin version was racist. Fred Astaire recorded it but for his movie Blue Skies it was rewritten. I won't quote the original here but you can find it on the internet if you look. I have the original sheet music. The words ridiculed African Americans in Harlem.

@shatros This song was originally intended to be sung by white men in "blackface" as part of a minstral show but was later adapted to other uses. Taco was obviously aware of the song's history as his original uncensored video depicts people in blackface and atire typical to what one would find in a minstral show.

MITCH wasn't fazed by the pro-Peace group. He slipped in a BACK DOOR and eventually CAME OUT of a CLOSET opening. Guests applauded wildly as MITCH drunkenly cavorted to endless JUDY GARLAND LPs. Sadly the evening's glow was dulled a bit when MITCH stomped off after another LADY arrived wearing the exact same dress as MITCH.
