  • CourtneyKangaroo: It's a Staffordshire Bullterrier, a pup.

  • @granlien Actually you can obviously see that American Bulldog is in this video ...0:37 even bigger than adult Staffordshire Bullterrier

  • He is an American Bulldog. Pitbulls are outlawed in Norway. (he is also a pup here, but I'm glad he's always been a good boy).

  • Nice pit but a pit bull should never be scared my male is beast we have to have him locked down girl is naturally trained and everything that tries her gets eaten >:D

  • 1:28 what breed is that? It doesn't look like a bulldog.

    it's really cute

  • beautiful AB

  • I like it

  • I love my american bulldog!!! This a good looking dog and reminds me of myn.

  • Every time i see loke i want to cry. He looks just like my Fatboy may he rest in peace.

  • wats wrong with it?

  • Seeing this video made me cry. It made me think about my FatBoy that passed away a few month back. Its funny how people think that American Bulldogs are mean or whatever, hell they just have no clue how loyal they are. Loke you remind me alot of FatBoy keep havin fun pup.

  • sorry to hear bout ur loss, can i ask how it happened and how old he was? just got a pup u see....

  • hey im guessing u cud help me as u had one of these dogs before.

i just brought an amercian bulldog a few days ago . hes 3 months old and has never worn a coller therefore never been taken out wiv a lead and wen i take him for walks i mostly have to drag him. also he doesnt know his name yet. do u have any tips for me???

  • The best thing for you to do is when you put the leash on him to give him treats, so he will know it is ok. Same thing with when you call his name. Just be patient with him and this will work. It takes time and if you have it he wont let you down.

    Loven my bullys

  • ok thanks. i taught him how to sit today using his treats!!!!! and walking pritty good on the lead too just gota make him walk out the house now coz he never wants to leave it. we have to carry him!!

  • Thats because he is in a new place and scared. Give him a treat as you are trien to get him to come out and when he is out. There just so goofy.

  • no dog lyks walkin from the begining!trust me. iv got 2 rotties and 1 american bulldog and none of them lykd it at the start. watch eventually he'l be pullin you down the street!lol!

  • Good looking bully you got there. Looks alot like a scott that I've got back east. I miss him so much, can't wait to get out of the fucking Army and be back with him and my wife.

  • I love the video! We have a 5 month of performance American Bulldog... We absolutely love the breed!!!

  • great video...i have a 10 month old ab puppy named kimbo...he is great...

  • i love the video. i have atwo year old female american bulldog she is the most beautiful dog ive ever seen and she has a personality out of this world. i dont advocate dogfighting and sometimes its funny because i take my dog in the back yard and she can reach hieghts of six and a half feet nearly without any traing she is devoted and protective. people in my nieghbor hood always try to bring there mixed pits by thinking iam going to breed her with them. lol. no disrespectbut ilovemybreedso no!!

  • The fact that people want to bring up dog fighting while looking at pictures of a beautiful bully is disgusting and Im sure Loke is telling you what you can kiss. Beautiful doggy!

  • FUCK THE GOVERNMENT!!!

    Beautiful dog!!!!

  • Nice dog:)

  • fucking hell i have a 5 month year ld american bulldog an it looks the same

  • ~* I love American bull dogs ~* xoxoxo~*

  • Wow Yall Have A Great Lookin Dog, Looks JUST Like Mine!

  • Rumpel, A 12 yr old can walk a big bull all day if it has a nose ring. So if any dog that weighs 60lbs and up grabs a bull by the nose he has him.

  • What a jackass comment, just because a dog is well socialized doesn't make them a CUR, American Bulldogs are awesome catchdogs and it takes just as much heart to catch a big boar as it does to fight another dog, get a clue Rumpel and get off the dogfighting bandwagon you coward.

  • Enough of your Boar catching bullshit! Only a lame ass dog fighter would talk about dog fighting. When you own over 50 American Bulldogs then maybe I will listen to your yapping! Until then go back to pissing in your pants! You seem to be a cyber cur yourself!

  • Well since the dog isn't a catahoula or a bmc I am wondering why you chose to call it a cur?

Thats a derogatory term unless you are talking about a breed, were you joking? Or do you just like to insult people anonymously online? In that case who is the cybercur now? If you think catching hogs with dogs is bullshit(?!?!) what exactly do you do with 50 AB's? are you a puppy mill? If you don't use the dog for what it was originally bred for don't run your mouth like your the expert.

  • Lets see. The American Bulldog was first The American Pit Bull Dog. Check into it. It was not bred specifically for catching wild boars. It was actually bred to dispatch packs of wild dogs and a Family guardian. I don't have that many Ab's but I think you should own at least 50 in a lifetime so that you have a chance of getting 1 Good AB. How many AB's have you owned and when did you get your first AB? 1980 , 1990, 2000?

  • Dispatching packs of wild dogs would be part of an AB's job protecting livestock on the farm. So would catching unruly free range bulls.Take a look at the paintings of bulldogs from centurys ago and see what the dogs were most known for.And no matter what the AB's line was established for by individual breeders in America, one of its original purposes was to catch bulls for the farm and for "sport" written records, and art going back centurys detail this.AB's will catch hogs or bulls.

  • I am no stranger to the art of "BULL BAITING" A dog used to catch hogs "WILL NOT BAIT A BULL"! Hogs are caught by the EAR! Try that with a BULL or any type of cattle and you will have a gutted, gored American Bulldog. 99% of the AB's today are not capable of "BAITING A BULL"

  • the dog is the original bulldog brought the us from britain to work cattle and protect the home the english bulldog was changed in shape but the AB stayed the working dog, the name "american " is because the breed was saved by john d johnston in the states around 1940, google john d johnston

  • Funny as hell! Westchamps' High Hopes 100% AKC English Bulldog is in a lot of JDJ's pedigree's! Just because you read it someplace doesn't make it so! The American Bulldog can be traced back to Chicago IL in the 1900's long before anyone ever spoke of JDJ. If it wasn't for "The world of fighting dogs" written by Carl Semencic nobody would even know who JDJ was !

  • rumpel seriously your an idiot. i agree with gonzostyles last comments. AB's history are deep in an all around farm working from hogs to bulls AB's are in a cross stage that if not taken care of and breed well they will loose thier natural greatness. So idiots like you who think that you should have 50 in a lifetime should be shot. gonzostyles is only wrong about one thing if the AB is a full Scott(the natural way an AB should be) then thier stamina easily equals an APBT or most any other dog.

  • I don't think you have much hands on knowledge as far as a REAL WORKING AMERICAN BULLDOG goes. When did you become interested in this breed? Right after "HOMEWARD BOUND"? How many dogs have you owned and what year did you get your dog? Easy questions.

  • So your trying to say that AB's genetics have no history of bullbaiting? Or that they can't catch a hog? Your line of thought doesn't seem clear. I have hunted behind enough AB's (and dogo's and outcross) to know what they can do and to know that some catch dogs catch on a hog's nose, they are rare and they don't have the longevity of a dog that catches on the ear but if you have hunted enough you will run across them. I only have direct experiance with apbt's

  • No what I am saying is that AB's are not half the dog that they were even 10 years ago. I am no stranger to the APBT either as My Father and his Brother kept quite a few before the Animal welfare act of 1976 which made Dog Fighting Illegal. I have OWNED AB's that have thrown Cattle, hit hogs on the nose and even caught White Tail deer but they didn't get along with other dogs very well. AB's were not bred for that until recently. They are very watered down now.

  • So wait are you insinuating that your dad and brother were dogfighters? Why else would they only be involved with pits before the legislation making dogfighting illegal? and didnt you try to insult me by saying "Only a lameass dogfighter would talk about dog fighting"??? like I said your point of view isnt consistent and the times have changed oldman what you consider watered down, others consider more useful.

  • Look we can debate dog fighting for years. Lameass was the derogatory remark. They owned APBT's till their death's long after 1976. 1976 is when most people first found out what a Pit Bull was. Oldtimers refer to them simply as Bulldogs. Most people wouldn't know a good dog if it bit them on the ass!

  • Not trying to debate dogfighting, I choose to debate your idea of a fightcrazy dog being a "good dog" That is logic from an era past no one needs a dog like that in this day and age and as a rule fightcrazy dogs were one in a thousand, every other fighting dog would need to get schooled with multiple rolls before he seen the pit and a life of being chained in a keep in close proximity to other dogs which builds aggression. And as a rule if a dog bit me on the ass,I would cull it.

  • luv them johnsons

  • def not a johnson AB. Possibly a mix but much more on the Scott side. Either way got to love AB's

  • He's a hybrid, a mix.

  • Defo an am bulldog prob hybrid cross scott johnson type.He looks like my 2 19 wk old ones n mine r hybrids nice dog mate

  • what other types of american bulldogs do you know of as an owner of one I have to say they are the most perfect loyal dog around

  • very cute looks just like my american bull

  • your loke reminds me alot of my American Bulldog Bubba, he's 4 and huge now...lol... loke looks like a lovely dog, American Bulldogs are not for everyone but I love mine :-)

  • That's a beautiful doggy...

    Corso owner

  • If i am not misstaken there are two kinds of american bulldogs the bully's who have a lot mass and and the kind like loke .

Btw not all white dogs are argentino's.

I have a bordeaux dog and a bully bulldog Thats 120kg of dog love!!!!

  • You have the standard (scott) and bully (johnson) and then you have the third variety, which is a mix of the two and known as hybrid. Loke is a hybrid. American bulldogs are required to have a certain percentage of white (at least 10%), but a lot of them, and most that I know, are very white. I know more of them that are like Loke too. This was when he was very young though, he has some more colour on him now (he is 16 months old now, he was around 4-6 here).

  • Dont forget that there are alot of "old southern whites" which are AB's but not out of the Scott Johnson camp. They need to be set to the standard (which needs to be more defined by the ABA) then brought in for improvement of the breed. AB's still are the best either way

  • I don't know why annyone would say Loke is a dogo.... What's up with that?

    Loke is a American Bulldog!

  • this one is a pure dogo argentino not a american burger ...eh sorry bull dog ;)

  • He is an american bulldog. I know which breed my dog is. Dogo argentinos are forbidden in norway too btw. Honestly - he is an american bulldog. Want to see his pedigree?

  • I too, mistook it for a dogo. Why are they forbidden in Norway?

  • The government has decided that they are dangerous, along with some other breeds which are also illegal...

  • Hi, where did you read this? I have checked the net,but I can't seem to find any information regarding this issue(I assume we're talking about the Norwegian government).Nice film by the way.I have a one year old American Bulldog myself:-)

  • @granlien U sure they are illegal or are there certain rules but u can have them? Cause that is the case in Portugal: Dog must be a pure bred; must be registered as ur property at city hall; u must have liability insurance for the dog. etc.

  • @granlien There are also rules concerning housing of the dog, mainly in the chapter of his access to the street from home (height of fences/walls in garden; sign advertising presence of dog outside of walls) and concernng walking him outside (muzzle; short lead). Maybe it is the same in Norway... Cheers.
