  • Is it possible to use the DDM4000 as a soundcard?

  • Can you set loops with the ddm 4000 on traktor? and also will i need an external soundcard to use it with timecode vinyls?

  • @sebaremin yes you can, nearly every button knob and fader on ddm is midi assignable, and yes you would, of the native instruments variety

  • @sebaremin you can do whatever you want with the DDM4000, and yes you need a NI soundcard to interpret the timecode signal

  • can you use just the mixer with traktor or any other software?

  • can you use the effects in traktor pro as well as the effects on the mixer?

  • @theirishfront12 I really want to know this as well! Im thinking of getting one. I have Traktor Scratch Pro 2/Audio10/& Kontrol X1. I get confused with the midi/audio thing. Im a bit worried if the midi-mapping doesn't work out how id like it, the Mixer doesn't have any Send/Return Channels!

  • Would it be possible for me to set up this mixer, so I could have 2 channels in traktor sctratch pro. and 2 that I could have actuall vinyls, so I could have 1 and 3 run through traktor and 2 and 4 be vinyls? I would like to be able to switch from vinyls to traktor fluently during the dj'ing, so would it be possbie for me to crossfade from a vinyl to traktor? I'm sorry if this sounds dumb or confusing, but im just learning

  • @ryan45454 hello mate, i have since lost the password for this account so sorry for not replying sooner, yes that is perfectly possible, and you wouldnt even have to change any of your mixer settings mid-set.

  • @ryan45454 I am also trying to set up my ddm so I have two channels for playing normal vinyl and two channels for use with traktor. I'm not having much luck. Were you able to get it working? Did you have to buy an external traktor audio soundcard? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Does it has inputs for fader-start? if so, what cables will I need?

I'm getting this mixer as soon as possible.

  • nice song selection

  • Hello. mate a question ..... this mixer is no longer necessary audio card? to connect the turntables and working with Vinyl time code and software Traktor? or if you need audio card? receives a greeting and waiting your comments ... joangelosa

  • @joangelosa you still need a native instruments audio 8 dj soundcard (or better) in order for your computer to interpret the timecode signal. you can pick them up off ebay for about £100

  • can you use it Via Midi, with out the Auidio 8 box?

  • What turntables are those?

  • @paintballmon135 Technics SL12-10 mk2s

  • Can u show me what u had on the behringer settings in the midi? cuz it seems like if i plug in my players without serato the crossfader will not work only the volume faders

  • How did you connect this to control Traktor? Separate audio interfase? Which one?

  • @MetechStudios949 Buy a kontrol x1 if you want to effectively control traktor . You need to have Audio 2/6/8/10 dj interface to run traktor. It is a combined unit. Although expensive it is worth it's weight in gold. If you have less money m-audio torq is a safe alternative. Any other questions let me know.

  • @MetechStudios949 the mixer is connected via MIDI to the Audio 8 DJ soundcard that comes with scratch pro when you buy it

  • @benpickard so the mixer doesn't have built in sound card?

  • so for this to control traktor you just just need the midi to usb cable?

  • except i have the ortofon blue

  • @greg0716 cool man, yeah the DDM4000 is an awesome Mixer / MIDI controller to use with Traktor!!

  • thats my exact setup!! looks good!!!
