LOL!! Josh says he plays the guy you love to hate :P HOW THE HECK CAN YOU HATE SAWYER?! Sawyer's the show's best character (besides Charlie) up until he starts sleeping with Juliet around season 5-ish, but even then... he's still my favorite character.
I belive it was to make room for Aaron, though unlikly as he wasn't and still it's a main character, so it was probably to make room for the tail section.
