The german shepard I'm taking care of right now is HUGE. He was a search and rescue dog and his names Zues. He's awesome:) He checks on me to make sure I'm ok.
I had a GSD and he was a very lean 110lbs. I'm talking no fat on him at all. He weighed 91lbs at 7 months old. I heard on multiple occasions that he was the strongest dog that people had ever seen. Brawny with pure brute strength. Very protective too.
My cousin has a almost identical GSD with the one in this video his name is Felix an is about 3.5 years old by now. Great dog. It's simply bigger than average, it depends on the parents of the dog, the way to feed and exercise him.
I have to 8 months old german shepherds and the male weighs 40kg (88lbs) and his height is 69cm (27,6 inches) at the withers (the ideal height is 63cm), he's a BIG one!
One of my relatives really old german shepherd's that he used in service. (He was a high ranking cop) his dog was 143 lbs he was killed by a motorcyclist or rather hit by him but it wasn't the motorcyclist's fault. He was actually so big that when he was hit the impact drove the handle bar of the bike into the cyclists chest. But the guy survived which is good.
My moms german shepherd (male.) is around 125lbs. His father was 140lbs and his mother was 105lbs. I want a big one but they are hard to find. My moms other german shepherd is only around 75-80lbs (male.)
@swatidon1 you have to get them from a good breeder . They have to have a good bloodline and to get your dog not to be fat means you have to walk them a lot and take them hiking and running etc. Pretty much spend that quailty time..

@Sports564 he died from a heat stroke.... trust me it was hard on me... i have a picture of him tattooed on my chest...i have a freestyle video on this channel that shows it..

A dog is supposed to eat the same thing everyday not 3 cans one day and 6 the next .. Dogs are never full thats y u have to buget it's food to only like 4 a day or something

Well it depends ...he had 3 meals a day and sometimes in those meals he would eat 6 cans of beef or chicken dog food.He always got at least 3 cans but sometimes i'd give him 6 and he would eat it up no problem and still would want more..
But just because he that much you have to take him running more so he gains size and more muscle not fat...
he was awsome...i always wanted to have a dog...a german shepherd, even bigger thn your dog..never had one... :( Can you tell me how much would it cost me monthly to look after a dog like the one in the video ?
i have owned german shepherds my entire life and you must know they are quite tricky to take care of. they often get bored and will run off if you dont play with them constantly. my german shepherd is still a puppy only about a year but eats about a 50 pound bag of dog food in like 3 weeks. but i spoil mine and give him lots of treats plus the giant bones i have to buy for him to keep him occupied at night as he can chew through a normal raw hide in about 45 seconds.
A lot of water FYI especially in the hotter areas. They can easily dehydrate to death if They don't get enough.

german shepherd dogs average weight is about 85-95 lbs, but bigger dogs can be found, anyways, 95 lbs is no small fry either

Money, your dog was 103lbs? Mine was that much at his heaviest. Trying to get him down to 92-95 for the sake of his joints and bones.

@ALENDANIEL1 - In AZ you MUST keep german shepherd indoor. The heat too much for their thick fur. Also maybe take to groomer for hair cuts
