@ThrashDeathTilEnd no, you are wrong, because manowar isn't power metal. it's heavy metal. power metal was created in germany in the mid 80s by helloween. the founder and bandleader of helloween was kai hansen. manowar has nothing to do with power metal, except the lyrics about warriors or fantasy themes. you can also check wikipedia or other sites on the internet. the first power metal album in history is helloween's "walls of jericho" from 1985.

@Leichenmoor sorry but i disagree with you,Walls of Jericho is more a Thrash Metal album than an Power Metal album,I love all the eras of Helloween (Hansen,Kiske,Deris) but Helloween doesn't create Power Metal,Manowar and his ''Battle Hymns’’has all the melody,the changes and the times,that the Power Metal bands were after.Helloween maybe just fused (thanks God)Speed Thrash and Power Metal.And Wikipedia isn't a good source of info.
