ALT+0160 is a ANCII extended character. For example, ALT+8 is this:♠. Windows explorer cannot reconize most of these characters, so you cannot delete the file any conventional way. Follow these removal instructions:

Open Command Prompt.

type:

dir (file extension. ex. C;\Desktop\)

Enter

after the readout, rightclick anywhere and select Mark.

Highlight the ALT+0160 character (it shows up as a space)

type:

ren (paste ALT+0160 character here) (whatever you want to rename it as)

Enter

I bet I still could find it through REGEDIT even if you delet it all I have to do is go to start and type in CMD and then type in REGEDIT and it will be esay to find it. if you just hit start and type REGEDIT into start it wont be there. so u sould try some there ways to hide it

*cough* if you REALLY want to make something hidden, go to the command prompt and type

attrib +s +h +r FOLDERORFILENAME

That sets an attribute for hidden, system file and read only. You won't be able to delete it even from the command prompt unless you attrib -s -h -r folderorfilename

I found this out by having some damn malware that I couldn't find the location of.

If you want to see what files are doing this use attrib /s | findstr shr.

You can't see it even if you are showing hidden.

the sad thing is that the hidden folder is now marked all the time so the little space is always visable, and you dont have to go to that website, just pick the icon from windows on right click properties right on.

sure its hidden to the complete average idiot computer user but you could easily find it... C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop change User with the name of the account. Right click on the file(s) Properties>General>Attributes>­Hidden Then go to Tools>Folder Options>View>Do not show hidden files and folders and done.

When I tested this, it made a suspicious blank spot in the middle of different files in the Desktop section of the file management. So, if you notice the same thing and suspect someone might run into your por- *COUGH* 'scuze me imPORtant documents, move the blank folder to an empty space and replace the blank spot with a "normal folder." :D
