...of course, both Ford and Larry sound pretty much the same regardless of which amp they use...check out the old RF stuff with Witherspoon (Fender bassman piggyback) and LC on "Last Nite" (small Fender amp)..it's all in the hands, folks!

Since the Carltons are serious Christians,I think the song is speaking of the "Prince" of Peace - JC, the One who controls human history. This song may be a review of human history and its future culmination of great tribulation, supernatural war, and fiery judgment.
Why 'The Prince'-Larry is obviously the King. I first saw Robben in the very early 80's when the yellowjackets stopped off at Brighton Dome on their way to the Montreux festival, they backed Randy Crawford after their own set. Have a listen to Monmouth College Fight Song to hear Robben at his best, this is my most listened to yellowjackets track, and definately the best track on the 'Casino Lights' album (1982 Warner Bros.)We Love Larry, especially Steely Dan & Crusaders periods, learned so much
Had Nothing to w/ Larry . More of a take on " Prince ... The Artist " . This From the mouth of the horse as they say . We all know Larry rules in many ways.
i saw these guys live at trazimeno blues in Italy. it was amazing. they all kick ass, i love them. the drummer is so tight and yet laid-back, the bassist is so technichally gifted, the two guitarists talk for themselves. they are friggin' amazing.
LOL.. Yes indeed he was and is flat for the entire history of this video. Music is just excellent execution and perfection. We will get it one day in Heavens...
New ! Young! are you kiddin me!!!! Robben Ford has been hittin it since 1969. If your gonna make a comment why don't you get your shit straight. Look up the Yellow Jackets from back in the 70's, and the Ford blues band
You were blessed!..I got turned onto Robben from a little hole in the wall record shop owner in Colville, Wa in 1979. One of the best 'tips' I ever got

This is the latest Larry's group. I think it is what he wants to play for a while. Just pure
blues with funk-rock of our beautiful 70s. His son is learning to play bass well. Ford goes flat on 2:31. Not a big deal...
paquetazo53 4 years ago
no he doesn't go flat. It's Jazz man get used to it LOL
