OS X 'does' leave Windows in it's dust though, and the macbook (not the air) is a fantastic computer and is better spec than the Lenovo by nearly double it's speed. If you did your research instead of just being a Lenovo fanboy then you would realise that they are the same width, the macbook is around half a millimetre thinner, and the only thing that you did have right is that it's a couple of pounds lighter. For those couple of punds of weight though you are sacrificing nearly 2ghz of processing power and a set limit of 2 gb RAM, you also have to have Vista (unless you install XP yourself) and it costs TWICE AS MUCH!!
but there shouldn't even be an external optical drive... they're prolly eventually going to incorporate an optical drive once the technology becomes available to them... and i hope that it will be like the macbook pro's optical drive... no opening or closing... just insert the disk
