  • @Savagejim01 Ironic that a 50,000 year old species has less advanced technology than the Tau, who had only discovered fire 5000 years ago.

  • Badass i'm subbed

  • "I have come to destroy you."

  • Great stuff i particularly like the end credit style. Only thing i would say is the colour correction could do with more work.

  • Great animation.

But come on, a flame thrower? And they are still using bullets and gunpowder in the year 40,000 AD?

Whatever happened to advanced energy weapons and hyper-efficient batteries such that you never have to recharge it, ever?

  • Well done this is really cool!

  • amazing

  • awesome!

A Fume FX vajon működne a 7-es max-al is?

  • @TAURON85 A hivatalos oldalon 3DsMax9-2012-t írnak

  • @AdamHKatona i wonder what that means, that language must be a pain in the ass to write on a normal keyboard though, lol :3

  • how is the program?

  • whats programm?

  • @nanafalke Read description

  • Sweetest thing I have ever seen.

  • MASTER-BLASTER OR TRANSFORMER..???

  • nicely executed, and good of you to show the intermediate steps. Köszönöm szépen!

  • Cool, but a very ineffective machine. Why would you want something that can barely lift its legs over something on wheels?

  • @langhalsen Wheelies are faster for sure but they are limited to cleaner terrains since they can't handle mud, snow or rocky terrain very well.

Whereas a walker is usually able to handle most types of terrain, as well they are generally better armoured and provides a sense of intimidation.

    Armour > Speed

  • @CerberusT93 If armor > speed then a wheel/belt would be optimal.

Legs are a huge bottleneck to any machine with legs. One round to one of those oil pipes and you're fucked. A car could just run into that and it falls over, boom it's stuck. Something that is tall is obviusly going to absorb more damage than anything that is flatter to the ground, because of the angle of the armor. Also a todays tank can go where this machine can go. It struggles with lifting its legs. It's just a overall bad.

  • @langhalsen True, treads (wheel/belts) are also a great option, well armoured. However, if a car were to attempt to ram a walker, it could step on the car (I'll admit though, the Dreadnaught is an awful stubby walker and probably couldn't. I'm looking more at the Titan from Command&Conquer which is taller) therefore avoiding damage altogether. A set of treads could crippled if a car hit it, especially from the side.

I agree with what you're saying though, short walkers are terrible.

  • i think its more realistic @ 0:27

  • who drives that thing? or it goes itself and smashing orks

  • @KRAUSER0130 Its basically a space marines coffin

  • @SigilofBaphomett so this thing is driving itself,i dont see how dead marine could control it

  • @KRAUSER0130 he's not exactly dead but the life support inside the dreadnaught is the only thing keeping him alive.

  • @SigilofBaphomett It's actually more like a space marine's wheelchair.

  • this is bad ass cept the shell casing can be bigger as well as have them stick in the mud instead of disappear other then that OMG THAT IS AWESOME

  • im watching this at least 4th time but im still interest in your skill and patient to make it look realistic

  • Beautifully done! the entire scene, the epic music, really well done. Tiny bit of constructive critic though (if I may) - Shooting a gatling gun of this size has an impact, even on something of great mass (like the dreadnought). A tiny bit of recoil (I think) could go a long way to strengthen the scene's already masterful, reality. Just expressing a personal opinion though, feel free to ignore it :)

  • The Emperor protects.

  • Totally think it looked better without the sepia.

  • Ok, now do an hour and a half movie!

  • Well done ! :)

And here I am making a big indie game with my partner. If I had the money I'd hire you ! (maybe for the next game !) haha <3

  • the fire effect could use some work, the rest is freaking awesome!

  • Even in death I still serve !!

  • make the flames much more brighter, add a screen pass on it so it really looks bright. otherwise, good job.

  • epic

  • PLEASE MAKE A FILM. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!

  • Amazing work man.

  • Wow, excellent animation. You're very talented!

  • This is the chosen video

  • You should make a tutorial! (Possibly Blender 2.6?)

  • Impressive!

  • how did u make the view of 0:01

  • @rockhopper123452 That's a simple wireframe material assigned to the whole scene.

  • now... can we awake more of these to kill SOPA?

  • I don't know who thinks a dread could stay shiny, even with prayers and anointing. Some of them were around while the Emperor was still breathing. Metal gets old, folks, no two ways about it.

    This dread looks perfect. :D

  • Nice comp

  • It started to look badass at 0:35 but then you screwed it up.. Still, GET YOUR ASS TO EA HEADQUARTERS NAO! DOIT NAO!

  • Impressive.

  • A dread in a swamp? Bad bad idea.

  • @Scarletraven87 Swamp, Forest, Deserts, Snow, it doesnt matter the dreadnaught fights the enemies of man where ever they are.

  • @mydognamedrikki yeah, even deep muddy areas, tar ponds and quicksands.

  • Forget what the fanboys say about not having a shiny dreadnought. I like the rust, wear and tear on it. It gives the impression of many things.

A war-veteran serving once again in death, his metal construct fighting for days on end against the enemies of man. He can not rest while the enemy is there. His armour may of dulled it colour, the emblems may be scratched and rust maybe all over him, but his duty is still there and he will fight to the end.

Look at that. Easy story for epic video.

  • @Iceyyouthere Thank You!

  • @Iceyyouthere rust is the mark of nurgle, which is why dreadnoughts are kept as pristine as possible, chaos dreadnoughts may be more your speed

  • @marchak

Oh sorry... Lets just pull this Dreadnought back off the frontlines to give him a shower and manicure. Then he'll get back into the... oh sorry, we just lost the planet to Chaos/Orks/Tyranids due to giving our Dreadnoughts beauty treatments. Hundreds of brothers dead, Gene-seeds lost... but don't worry. Just look at that paintjob.

  • @Iceyyouthere more like 'oh our esteemed battle brother has suffered some damage, while we repair him clean all the rust and bless him before he heads off to battle again'

in the ranks of nurgle, all this is not a problem, they actually prefer rust and mud all over their shit, and they are much hardier to boot.

and just to nit pick, if pulling one dreadnought for repairs/ "a shower and a manicure" will cost you the planet, then the planet was already a lost cause,

  • @marchak

Be it one or be it many, taking any fighter out of a thick battle who if only suffering a small loss of colour to their armour to give them a "clean up" is a good way to lose a battle. This dreadnought may be the only one left in the area but he is holding the line. Take him away and you create a gap. That gap can grow and cause the whole line to buckle.

So yea. Taking one out for a clean up can cause the loss of a planet, nickpicker.

  • @Iceyyouthere fine whatever im not going to argue with an r-tard over the internet, you can think whatever you want to think about it.

  • @marchak

You're the one who started it. Don't go fanboy on me when I can out-fanboy you.

  • @Iceyyouthere by merely stating a simple fact about the universe? whatever quit being so butthurt ok?

  • @marchak

You're the one turning tail and running.

  • @Iceyyouthere give me a good reason why i should waste my time on you

  • @marchak

You "wasted" you time pointing out something in the first place. I countered and you continued to "waste" your time with me until you couldn't stand by what you originally stated. So, now you're running off, trying to discredit me by stating I'm "Butt-hurt fan who wastes time with these things", all the while, ignoring the fact you started it.

  • @Iceyyouthere i never changed what i originally stated, you were being retarded and thinking that every scratch needs a repair and a polishing. what i said was, rust is the mark of nurgle, the only way i would have changed my opinion is by agreeing that rusting on dreads makes it look better,

three simple things to leave you with, you ARE a butthurt fan, you cant quote what i didn't say and trying to win a fight and egg someone on like what your doing proves your a real shut in.

  • @marchak

You're getting rather aggressive about this... Typical fanboy activity seems to be on your half, not mine.

    Rage on, boy.

  • Now make it assault.

  • get your ass into game designing

    NAO!

  • Nice animation, but it looked nicer withouth the "coffee" filter at the end.

  • youll go far pal

  • much batter then previous one

  • Nice animation, but someone here was not using the required maintenance rituals, prayers and annointed oils. That much rust on the dreadnought seems just wrong, especially seeing that we don't know the properties of the metal they call adamantium of which the sarcophagus is supposedly made and if that metal (probably an alloy) can even rust. No indication of this has been given on any worn models painted by GW.

  • @Schnittertm1 Thank You!

Sorry, I don't want to disappoint anyone but i don't care these "WH40k fan" details, anointed oils, prayers or rituals. I just made an animation with my dreadnought model. Adamantium or anything else, I don't care, I just liked it better than a shiny, perfect Dreadnought. Adamantium is indestructible, so what is interesting about that.

  • @AdamHKatona You might not care for the lore, yet others do and I was commenting on it from a lore perspective. Adamantium itself in the Marvel universe is indestructible, not so in GW lore, where Adamantium is a very strong and durable metal, the strongest know to mankind, but where it is not indestructible, allowing for wear and tear to show, e.g. battlescars.

Oh well, be it as it may, your animation is superb and I think that is what does matter.

  • @AdamHKatona It's actually made of some kind of ceramic plates. That's the main reason for which it does not rust, and dents instead. Either way, it looks awesome - love the setting.

  • Badass man \m/ Great work on the metal corrosion and Dreadnought-pacing, among the VFX :)

Your Dreadnought looks great. If they could successfully pull something like this off on the silver screen, Warhammer 40k adapted into a film(s) would be freakin' awesome xD

  • Remekül megcsináltad !!! Tehetséges vagy!

  • Definite improvement from the first one. The mud looks like mud and the rust and paint chips stand out a lot more.

  • really, really, really, really good!

  • HOH HOH HOH >:D

  • Somehow reminds me of mom's cooking. Usually some fire and something unrecognizable, brown and sticky.

  • i find it a bit discouraging starting off with graphic design. when i compare my work with awesomeness such as this, mine looks like shit.

  • zajebiste, normalnie bym ja tego nie zrobił.

  • emperor protects!

  • if you get the time, is there any chance of doing something to do with a chaos demon? would love to see your quality work on something like that :)

  • co sa asy

  • Te vagy a hősöm XD eddig vagy százszor néztem végig ezt a videót amikor éppen ráleltem, de csak most döbbentem rá, hogy őzsenialitásod magyar :D

  • This is a pretty awesome animation. Congradulations! :)

  • Now this is better! If I may make a suggestion, the sky behind him is quite bright. A rimlight might do some good! You've got a nice rig there.

  • Awesome

  • mud is cool

  • I have an idea. add mud splashs when the bullet casings hit the mud. :)

  • yay, LIKE

  • @2h4d0wDK

Show all comments, ctrl + F, search for kenners1993, scroll down to it. Problem solved, I found it in 10 seconds.

  • @ZoldierrZzz Ok,..... Day 6, not more food, no water, and ZolierrZzz gave me the answer -.-'

  • Epic.

  • Love this!

  • Nice graphics, but the Dreadnaught doesnt move like a reject crab now, like a man, as shown in DoW 2, but excellent job

  • @ljgav He's in deep mud

  • Looks like we have a new game developer for THQ!

  • There is a lack of voice on 0:44 - FOR THE EMPORER!!!

  • Now that is something id love to drive to work with every day

  • @WelshSymbioteSpartan I would be like MUHAHAHA I RULE THE ROAD!

  • @starwarstheclone1001 dam straight

  • fuc**n amazing..!.

  • Of course the Blood Ravens would let their dreads get that dirty and rusted.

  • Wow, very well done dude!

  • coool...

  • Wicked mate, nice job!

  • EPIC!!!

  • Good animation, What programs are you using? How many time did take long?

  • Good job.

  • you should make a move whit it

  • Extremly nice!

  • PLEASE! TEACH ME

  • woweewowwow! lol Great animation buddy! You truly are talented! Nice one!

  • that was really well done, how long did it take you to pull that off?

  • @chaosengineer84 The whole animation took about 35 hours

  • @AdamHKatona This is awesome :) however u can still improve his left leg during the walking, it looks to me like he isnt lifting it high enough so its being pulled along

  • @AdamHKatona thats just fucking well done, nice vid

  • wow nice you should join the wh creators and help creating intro's and movie parts in the game that would be awesome :D

  • That was really good, the paintwork and the moving mud at the feet are excellent. I think the flame was the weakest part.

  • METAL BAWKSES

    IIIIIN THREEE D !

  • you overdid it with the colors in the end, still great work though.

  • Only in death does duty end.

  • Awesome! How did u make the mud animation? Is it made in 3Ds max?

  • @Reak2007 Thank You! No. The mud is created with realflow.

  • @AdamHKatona

wats realflow is it in fumefx

  • @0fVolfAndMan No. Realflow is a fluid simulation software and a standalone app. Not a plugin like FumeFx.

  • all the way through this i was going OMFG OMFG then i noticed the dreadnought was blood angels and i lost interest :P

  • @kenners1993 He's Blood Ravens

  • @AdamHKatona still just as meh could of been white scars

  • @AdamHKatona maybe the dreadnought was "gifted" to them

  • @darthmongoose2 He has the Blood Raven Chapter Insignia on his Right side.

  • @AdamHKatona He has the Blood Angels insignia on his left though, and the Blood Ravens on his right. :/

  • @LionAbove He has a raven with a drop of blood on both side. The left is a flag and the right is an insignia.

  • @kenners1993

yeah thats right, lose interest in something because of how its painted, and mislabel it to! fuck the fact its amazing animation and he put hard work into it!

  • @bravocmdr erm two things

    1) i never said it was bad it is some of the best animating i have seen

    2) have you ever heard of a joke

  • Awesome, now please make one of a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch burning people in magical fire lol.

  • sweet animated

  • Nice

  • I think it's a little too stocky. Dreadnoughts are a little taller and a little narrower, I believe. They don't rock back and forth like that when they walk, they're actually rather stable.
