I think it is possible for someone to have a past life. I saw a very impressive film some time ago on the subject called My Reincarnation. It was about the real life conflict of a modern son and his father who are both reincarnations of Tibetan Spiritual Masters. myreincarnationfilmdotcom

very cool…the idea of being an infinite number of other people is so interesting in concept, it really begs the question of destinies and fate and their influences in our lives…reminds me of a film I recently saw, My Reincarnation. it was incredibly moving .bitly . com / uIr2nk

Did we all have past lives? Why do each one of us have certain interests, why are some people doctors and others hockey players? Why do we have a hobby and others have many? Is it because of interests or professions that we enjoyed in a past life? An interesting topic.
@paulsreef27 If you are interested in the topic, there’s a movie that I just watched called My Reincarnation. While it doesn’t deal with the general topic of reincarnation, it offers an interesting aspect on the life of a man whose was told since he was born by spiritual Buddhist leaders that he was a reincarnation of another Buddhist leader who died struggling against communist China’s invasion of Tibet. It follows his father and his journey for like 30 years.
i beleave in reincarnation i found out i was a prussian soldier in the mid 1800s that would explane y i understand german so well and love the military and absolutly hate hippies
@thearbiter221 Just for your information (and others that believe the same):
Every information, every detail of our memory, more or less important, every thought is in our brain. If the human dies, every cell dies, brain cells die. Information, memories, thoughts are lost forever. This is an undisputed fact that every Medical Doctor knows and even @Anotherkashmiri will agree to.
The salient point is that this fact doesn't prove or disprove Reincarnation! More in my next comment...
Reincarnation explains WHY we are here. Reincarnation gets rid of bigotry, sexism and racism (Because we reincarnate into any Gender, Race/Ethnicity, Culture, or even Religion). Earth is looked upon as a SCHOOL where we are sent to learn key lessons such as Love, Compassion, Tolerance etc....AND, more importantly, we do NOT have to believe in a God if we don't want to (Therefore, we can even be Atheists)....But I guess I see your point as well....LOL:)
Hahaha. There are many books by Medical Doctors(Atheists) like Eben Alexander (Neurosurgeon from Harvard), Cardiothoracic surgeons, Brian Weiss, Michael Newton, Raymond Moody who are showing Reincarnation to be Real....BUT either way, the important thing is that u do NOT have to believe in God/Afterlife if u don't want to. The important thing is to be a caring, compassionate Human. If u are that, then that is all that matters!
I personally do not believe in Reincarnation. If it would be true there is no possibility to find out if you have reincarnated, hence it would be useless to discuss about it.
I have a funny question (purely hypothetical^^) I tried to solve by myself: O.o
What if I would kill every human beings? (additional every animal, plants if I had to)
Would they all reincarnate? Or did I prevent them from Reincarnation?
Hahaha. I suggest you NOT do that...LMAO. Btw, Hindus/Buddhist do NOT believe in Hell. We believe in Karma. In case you noticed how I still can be an Agnostic Buddhist Pundit....Well Agnostic thought is applicable to both Buddhism and certain Vedic Philosophies....Anyway...doesn't matter. I far prefer an Atheist over some Religious Nut...lol:)
@Anotherkashmiri Hey I'm German! I have the right genes to do that xD
But the answer to this fictive question would be really hard to tell if someone thinks Reincarnation is true. And this case isn't impossible^^, sure I'm not able to do that.., but theoretical it could happen :D
btw: I also do not believe in Hell (or Heaven), it's just a (german) figure of speech, at least for me...
I'm not religious, I would like to believe in God, but I know that he's not existent. Logic ftw^
@Anotherkashmiri ^ 488 signs to write are definitively insufficient for more than small talk!
I think now I really know that you're an Agnostic Buddhist (Expert?!^^), don't mention it in your next comment ò.Ó :-D
And to believe in Karma might also find support from scientist (e.g.psychologists) because the subconscious mind can influence a lot of someone's actions in the future. But this is another question I do NOT want to discuss today or tomorrow^^
"488 Signs"? Sorry, I don't know what that means..I must be getting old. I am NOT "Computer language" savvy..lol. Well, Buddhists are Agnostics..A small part of me believes in a God, but I let the practical in me dominate..So I am indifferent to concept of God. Btw, you are entitled to your opinion on Reincarnation and I to mine. We will only know for sure after we die whether there is some truth to it(or maybe we won't, in case there is no afterlife and death is it!..Haha)
Didn't want to confuse you :o, not any computer language, just youtubes limitation of signs to write in a comment here. And 488 letters are often not enough^^.
"A small part of me believes in a God, but I let the practical in me dominate.." <- I like!
Sure everyone is entitled to his opinion, but when we would have started with this thought, then we couldn't have discussed it :-D
If there's no afterlife we won't find out because we're death, this sucks, unfair^^
Hahaha....Let us hope that there is an afterlife then.....because I really wanna know how much of what we are taught by Religions is actually true! LOL

@Anotherkashmiri Yeah because there is no God, just an imagination of humans that couldn't deal with life. And furthermore there's no right religion, so you're right we could be atheists^^
btt: If reincarnation would be real, there has to be the possibility to avoid it. E.g. by other forms of deaths or different places or physical/chemical/bilogical barriers, the soul or whatever has to get out, so it has to be avoidable
If not, Reincarnation is just as lame as the 21st Dec 2012
Belief is that YOU CHOOSE whichever body/life you're born into...Anyway..I don't have a problem with Atheists like Christopher Hitchens....Though i myself am an Agnostic Buddhist/Pundit.
funny i had night terrors but i was yelling about monsters i was told, so what past life is that supposed to be, and there was that dream recently about poppa smurf. , zombies, and then i have that dream i was hit by a nuke but i was ok, i don't think it is good math, nows where some skyrim idiot takes a arrow in a knee
"The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues STILL DID NOT repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood idols, that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts." (revelation 9,20-21)
when i was small i always had dreams of being kidnapped but the car that takes me never had a driver and now when i try to think about it i puke my gutts up from being so scared
Whos to say that this is true about what this kid knows. I think this was just on for Entertainment Purposes. Or maybe it is true what the kid knows. One would have to experience it by having or knowing somebody with a child that had a past life and can remember it.
I wonder that most of the time. I feel sometimes that I'm only limited too what my body can do. I'm not saying their is a God or Devil. But that their is some kind of God, I don't think space, as far as we know, goes on forever. After all, as the saying goes, nothing lasts for ever. I meen, does space really go on forever? There has to be some kind of end. I think there is some kind of heaven, just not like we are taught through life. I feel like I just happened to be in the body that I'm in.
I believe in reincarnation because, I remember some what, before I was born. I don't believe that we only live one life, but that we keep on going from one body to another. Therefore, I believe that we as humans have a soul. We die in one body, then we go to another before were born again. I believe that is why we are consious of what we do and that is how we as humans can think for our selves. We don't do things by instinct. Have you ever wondered where you have been or who you were before?
It seems that one who is reincarnated did not accomplish their purpose or mission in their past lives. Perhaps the living did not satisfy what what intended for them to do so they are given another chance in another time. It's an interesting notion that the Creator, if there is one, is definitely not akin to the characteristics that religion subscribes to him/it.
Gumdrops: you gotta take in considerTion that time may really only be relevant here on earth to our human minds. 60 years here may be a blink of An eye or 100 years in the spirit world.
i believe it ive had a dream that i was on the tittanic an i was holding on to the papeler then fell of an hit the water woke up screaming scared to death with my body freezing
if any of religion do not allow to asked question about "what is God?" or if you don't even know what is God and just follow it. That I will call "superstition". A Mi Ta Bha
This is a case of possession (full time) or obsession (part time). A former pilot wanted to reincarnate and got trapped in this boy's aura. It is the pilot's experiences that are causing the boys nightmares.
@ANTICENAARMY3 The fact that reincarnation is real does not prove that Christianity is "full of lies and nothing else". That is a highly ignorant and biased comment. All that this video proves is that reincarnation is real and that everyone who thinks we just die and cease to exist is wrong.
@nomedisponivel1 ::: Kardec is very popular in Brazil. You would probably enjoy reading "Life in the World Unseen", free download. It was written from spirit by a former Catholic priest.
"reincarnation" . The only way can get out of this is "do things to benefit others. Never have any thought for your own benefit. (don't selfish). Your body is not "you". We are one. All religion are base on the same concept of the natural law, conditional causation (cause and affect) which is running the whole universe. "reincarnation" . A fews people They created War, they destroyed country, culture, our soul, our mind, the ability to know the true of yourself. A Mi Ta Bha
@sylicone221 karma is known as "the law of cause and effect", and plays a central role in determining how one's life should be lived. Colloquially this may be summed up as 'what goes around comes around.'Fate is man’s own creation pursuing him from [the] past...and just as it has been shaped by past karma, it can also be modified, remolded, and even undone through karma in the present life. If you kill yourself, you created a very bad karma for yourself. forbidden in all religion.
@kamsmelon1 I'd rather think of karma as destiny and choice. Destiny puts you in situations where you have to make a choice. Make the same choice and destiny will continue to put you in the same situations until you have dealth with it and choose differently. This goes on not just in one life but carries over until the situation is learned from and dealt with.
@Djinnmeister "Karma" is a kind of energy created by yourself. the Law of cause and effect, results from thought, speech and behavior. It keep in(ālaya-vijñāna or store house' consciousness. After you dead, this energy form like a magnetic field, will quickly drag you to where you belong. In many of religion believed "heaven and hell" had many of difference level or difference dimention. "Karma" is through past, present and future life. no one can escape the law of natural.Amitafu
@sylicone221 You have asked this question of others. Are you referring to your own desire to be young again or being philosophical? In my opinion, the Earth is the classroom for the soul. You come here to learn the lessons that can only be learned in a physical body. Part of that lesson might perhaps be the acceptance of growing old and aging flesh. Kill yourself and you have to come back until you get the lesson. Youtube Michael Newton reincarnation 1 - 5.
@sylicone221 All religion are base on the same concept of the natural law, conditional causation (cause and affect) "reincarnation". Those people knew that created religion. We all fall into the education, health system, media, technology, news etc. and try to control our mind. They created War, they destroyed country, culture, the most important they try to destroy our soul, our mind, the ability to know the true of yourself.
Do you ever wonder what happened to all those nazis from ww2 Germany?
They're on Earth again, trying to learn to behave.
Some have made progress, especially those who have separated themselves from that group.
But look at the behavior of some groups on Earth, and you'll see the reincarnation of the nazis, up to their old tricks.
Some people never change; others do. Let's help those old nazis change for the better as best they can. We must say No to those bullies to help them and their victims.
if I die and re-born again..I want to go to the world where full of technology which I lived in Spaceship, where I wear kick ass armor, weapon, I can fly to wormhole and go to different part of universe *playing Final Fantasy* ..what am I talking about again?
Due to being ill when I was little I went through a lot of metabolic-induced memory-wipes, so I can't say if these are hallucinations/jumbled memories or past life ones. I just remember looking at sixties cars, womens' hairstyles, t-shirts/shorts, shops, phone boxes, photos of my family from then, thinking "That's forty years ago? It can't be! I was there!" I couldn't believe it, because I remembered it all that way, and not just sights - a world, a lifestyle, being amongst it all.
this is not uncommon in kids if you listen to them, one of my progeny went thru a time where she would NOT let you call her anything but Adam...lasted months and was utterly consistent...she also spoke of a little brown girl in a small adobe house...at 2 years old, there were many other incidents, but my memory fails..another thing, she'd stare in to a corner of the LR n laugh and laugh...at under 1 year old...
@cazopy LOl, consider yourself a first person video came. The only difference between your senses and a tv screen is how many pixels there are. Or perhaps how holographic.
when I was a kid I remember always having these weird memories that I dont think I could have known from experiences in this life. I saw myself as a tall man with dark hair living in what appeared to be the late nineteenth century or the early twentieth century based on the clothes everyone was wearing, which were very Victorian. I think I was upper class or atleast upper middle class based on the fact that I seemed to live in a mansion by the sea as a child
@gatheringleaves No but you can see his parents are not middle-upper class which is a part of society in which planes are more present in their lifes than in a very low-class family.
and there was also another may. i never got a chance to see his face... never. that was the most saddest part because that's the part that haunts me most.. in my vision and dreams, the man feet was on the well piece that is over the ground, in the poster of him pulling up water from the well
and now i'm living a life... and yet i know of a past life.. and it haunts me... omg it makes me cry at times... right now i'm a 19 year old indian male. i live in Belize, Central America.. in my dreams and in my vision, i am not an india boy. i am like a menonites or a mayan or something.. i can remember a hill, green pasture. a water well, two swing hang from a tree, a river nearby and two other kids...
it was all very clear. right now i'm 19, and i can still vision the places but they are fading away.. i no longer dream them.. and i really miss the place i used to see. everytime i think of it my tears fall..
I believe I've been reincarnated. This is my story. Every since i was a kid, i kept telling my parents of a place that i used to be, but they said i've never been to a place like that.. i used to dream these places. all the time...i would dream them today, then i will dream the same dream next two years. or next 6 to eight months.. the same dreams... about 5 different dreams that keeps repeating. i
I found out my past life. Apparently I was a 19 year old very religious kid who volunteered in the civil war (for the north of course) and eventually died in a battle in virginia along with some friends. I was also told I had a girlfriend named Betty Carlson that I left behind. And my patriotism carried onto this life. Kinda find it weird because like 3 people told me this well 1 told me all this the other 2 said I was in the civil war but that was about it. What do you all think? :o
when i was a boy my sister put me in a plastic crate and tryied to see how long i could hold my breath. i shook the crate when i got out of breath but she didnt open it she wasnt strong enough, i dont know how long i was in the but i remember a surge of the most intense white light that echoed in from every where i saw a man in the distance. i couldnt see his face because of the light but when i was a kid i thought he was jesus because of the mans long hair, now i think it was a past life.
BHAGAVAD-GITA 15.8: The living entity in the material world carries his different conceptions of life from one body to another as the air carries aromas. Thus he takes one kind of body and again quits it to take another.
BHAGAVAD-GITA 15.9: The living entity, thus taking another gross body, obtains a certain type of ear, eye, tongue, nose and sense of touch, which are grouped about the mind. He thus enjoys a particular set of sense objects.
Yes that's right, you've certainly got the right idea Siddhilalasa!
I've always believed that the ancient rishis and mystics of Ancient India and Tibet had a much more profound view of the world then modern day humans do!
@mihithakankanamge The concept of reincarnation was introduced by Hinduism from Vedas. Bhuddism copied this concept since Bhudda himself was a hindu. Jainism and Sikhism also borrow this concept from hindus.

what this lady says is interesting. the average person doesn't even consider the possibility of reincarnation. now im not claiming that reincarnation is real, but I definitively think it's worth *some* thought, for mankind has no definitive knowledge of 'life' after death. the concept of reincarnation goes as far back as the iron age, or around 1200 BC. if this child's memories coincide with real life occurrences, how could it have happened? just fascinating
@Ghiokman yeah but the thing that bugs most people is that everyone always says they were Cleopatra or some Mayan prince or princess no one ever says "Yeah I was slopping shit from the stables in 1600 AD" lol though I do believe the "energy" were made up of somehow transcends the body
just think we could have millions of years of life experiences to come in other lifetimes in the future. WHat we have exeprienced in this life may well happen many times in the future
@dmana3172 ... I'm an atheist and I believe in rebirth/reincarnation. Being an an atheist does not rule out being spiritual. Look up 'atheism' in a dictionary and you'll see that the definition is very broad. I'm a spiritual atheist. There's a lot of atheists who are like me.
What exactly is being reborn/reincarnated, in your opinion? The belief in spirits is somewhat contrary to strong atheism. Perhaps your atheism is just the lack of religion. It is atheism that has caused humanity to denounce the existence of 99.99999999999999% of the spirits people have believed in. In modern society, there are generally just two spirits left: the spirit in the body and spirit in the heavenly sky. The soul and God.
@buddhasknowbest All atoms derive from energy. That is what is being reincarnated. Energy. Spirituality and reincarnation do not go against atheism. The definition of atheism is lack of religion, worship, and belief in a deity or supreme being. You are being general. Atheist do not all have the same take on everything. I am God. God is within me. We are all one God with The Universe.
BHAGAVAD-GITA 15.8: The living entity in the material world carries his different conceptions of life from one body to another as the air carries aromas. Thus he takes one kind of body and again quits it to take another.

Everyone has had former lives. We don't really want to remember. Imagine remembering friends you loved dearly, and haven't seen them in thousands of years, or remembering all the worst incidents you have had over a million years. It would be very difficult to live peacefully wouldn't it.
You can't remember when you where 2 years old, right? but you where there weren't you, so just because you don't remember a past life doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I went to see a psychic one time and asked her if I had lived before. She then said that she saw me surrounded by bars in my past life. I asked if I had been an inmate in a prison. She then said no. You were a dog and your owner was very cruel and always kept you in a cage. Shit. What a waste of 50 dollars.
@13987953 Its just probably the term. Reincarnation, usually means coming back as the same person you where before. But living different lifes as different individuals is accepted by buddhism. They beleive you come back according to your deeds, if you you did good you come back better, if you did bad, you come back a less capable individual, thus the cast system.
According to some statistics since the great flood in the times of Noa till today lived or died in total 500 millions peoples . Today are 6 billion peoples alive. If those dead people (500 million) where incarnated we would have not 6 billion but just 500 million peoples alive in this planet. In other words, the numbers do not match therefore this is the proof that reincarnation doesn't exist.
@lukaqota : 500millions people, some are to be saint, most people reborn to hell or heaven, some people reborn to be animals, some people reborn to be human. Reincarnation, according to Buddhism, has six realm to rebirth. Also, not just be reborn in this planet, any being can rebirth to any planet in one of six realm.
@CoDHunterz So in the next live I will be a cow that can be eaten by humans. All animals are here to serve us and therefore we have to respect nature otherwise it will turn agains us. Water doesn't turn in iron or iron in water. The same is with people's soul which cant be in the body of an animal or insect because it experienced a better condition living in a human body. Nobody has the proof that incarnation is possible. Every animal, plant and human has a semen or sperm with the soul in it.
@lukaqota Your missing something out. You can hardly/never remember if u have had a past life. And yes, just becos u have lived in the body of a human, if u have a bed life, than u can get "demoted" if u like. And then live as a cow for your next life. who knows?
@CoDHunterz Buddhism also very similar to hinduism doesn't accept reincarnation. We are genetically connected with our body. That means that the soul doesn't accept another body which has other genes. After death the molecules of our body are spread in the nature and never lost. Our souls live in other dimensions or state and it's very difficult to enter another human body, because the sperm of the other father also has an energy or soul in it. People live once and GOD will raise us from death.
Buddhism (just like the various religions under the umbrella term known as Hinduism) accepts Reincarnation...and so do Jainism and Sikhism. But Buddhism does NOT have a concept of a God, unlike various religions of Hinduism.

Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri Nice fairyland story you made up there, but you still have not proved anything.
zonip67 4 weeks ago
@zonip67
Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri If it really was proven it would be a well-known fact, but it is not.
Do you know how you sound? Like a car salesman making deals

Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri
What I know: I'll definitely go to hell :-D
BlindingScientist 4 weeks ago
@BlindingScientist
Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri Hey I'm German! I have the right genes to do that xD
But the answer to this fictive question would be really hard to tell if someone thinks Reincarnation is true. And this case isn't impossible^^, sure I'm not able to do that.., but theoretical it could happen :D
btw: I also do not believe in Hell (or Heaven), it's just a (german) figure of speech, at least for me...
I'm not religious, I would like to believe in God, but I know that he's not existent. Logic ftw^
BlindingScientist 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri ^ 488 signs to write are definitively insufficient for more than small talk!
I think now I really know that you're an Agnostic Buddhist (Expert?!^^), don't mention it in your next comment ò.Ó :-D
And to believe in Karma might also find support from scientist (e.g.psychologists) because the subconscious mind can influence a lot of someone's actions in the future. But this is another question I do NOT want to discuss today or tomorrow^^
BlindingScientist 4 weeks ago
@BlindingScientist
Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri

Oops, I tried posting videos here...But it came out all crazy..lol. Sorry abt that:(
Anotherkashmiri 4 weeks ago
@Anotherkashmiri Yeah because there is no God, just an imagination of humans that couldn't deal with life. And furthermore there's no right religion, so you're right we could be atheists^^
btt: If reincarnation would be real, there has to be the possibility to avoid it. E.g. by other forms of deaths or different places or physical/chemical/bilogical barriers, the soul or whatever has to get out, so it has to be avoidable
If not, Reincarnation is just as lame as the 21st Dec 2012

@kamsmelon1 what happens if you kill yourself, hoping to reincarnate to get your youth back?
sylicone221 1 month ago
@sylicone221 karma is known as "the law of cause and effect", and plays a central role in determining how one's life should be lived. Colloquially this may be summed up as 'what goes around comes around.'Fate is man’s own creation pursuing him from [the] past...and just as it has been shaped by past karma, it can also be modified, remolded, and even undone through karma in the present life. If you kill yourself, you created a very bad karma for yourself. forbidden in all religion.
kamsmelon1 1 month ago
@kamsmelon1 I'd rather think of karma as destiny and choice. Destiny puts you in situations where you have to make a choice. Make the same choice and destiny will continue to put you in the same situations until you have dealth with it and choose differently. This goes on not just in one life but carries over until the situation is learned from and dealt with.
Djinnmeister 1 month ago
@Djinnmeister "Karma" is a kind of energy created by yourself. the Law of cause and effect, results from thought, speech and behavior. It keep in(ālaya-vijñāna or store house' consciousness. sylicone221 1 month ago

Actions have a variety of causes.
Some are choices we make before we're born about difficulties we wish to endure as part of achieving our missions on Earth.
Some are things that just happen randomly as part of collective karma.
Some are burdens we wish to carry to ease the burdens of others.
Some are lessons we wish to learn for our spiritual growth.
And some are boomerangs that come back around from this or past lives.
Bad things happen to good people, and nobody deserves to suffer.

what this lady says is interesting. the average person doesn't even consider the possibility of reincarnation. now im not claiming that reincarnation is real, but I definitively think it's worth *some* thought, for mankind has no definitive knowledge of 'life' after death. the concept of reincarnation goes as far back as the iron age, or around 1200 BC. if this child's memories coincide with real life occurrences, how could it have happened? just fascinating

The soul and God.
buddhasknowbest 3 months ago
@buddhasknowbest All atoms derive from energy. That is what is being reincarnated. Energy. Spirituality and reincarnation do not go against atheism. The definition of atheism is lack of religion, worship, and belief in a deity or supreme being. You are being general. Atheist do not all have the same take on everything. I am God. God is within me. We are all one God with The Universe.

According to some statistics since the great flood in the times of Noa till today lived or died in total 500 millions peoples . Today are 6 billion peoples alive. If those dead people (500 million) where incarnated we would have not 6 billion but just 500 million peoples alive in this planet. In other words, the numbers do not match therefore this is the proof that reincarnation doesn't exist.
lukaqota 4 months ago
