I do not want to make any kind of political as a soldier. In fact, the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) has a rule which says that you aren't really supposed to endorse any political party (like appearing in a rally in uniform) as a servicemember.
Most of us see a strict dichotomy between politics and military service. It may seem schizophrenic to you, but trust me; the only way to understand it, is to be in the military. For us duty is paramount. It means watching out for your buddy. It means "Mission First". It means not leaving anyone behind. It means not screwing up and getting someone killed. Politics has absolutely nothing to do with it. I hope you see what I am trying to say.

I'm a Filipino and I serve as a reserve n the Philippine Air Force. I do not know how it feels like to be out there in the U.S. military so I really can't sympathize fully. But even then, though I do not support the higher powers who provoked this war, I do support all you guys out there who were given no choice but to do what you are supposed to do for your country.

I do not want to make any kind of political as a soldier. In fact, the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) has a rule which says that you aren't really supposed to endorse any political party (like appearing in a rally in uniform) as a servicemember.

The least we can do is be a little understanding that they're just young like us. Sometimes people do weird, dumb, funny things just because. Especially young people. I'm a Filipino and I serve as a reserve n the Philippine Air Force. I do not know how it feels like to be out there in the U.S. military so I really can't sympathize fully. But even then, though I do not support the higher powers who provoked this war, I do support all you guys out there who were given no choice but to do what you are supposed to do for your country.

You know I do a lot of traveling around the world, and get the chance to meet people from all walks of life. The amazing thing is that in all my travels I haven't met ONE, NOT ONE person who supports or UNDERSTANDS your war. It's safe to say that the vast majority of this worlds population, including a portion of the US itself doesn't UNDERSTAND or SUPPORT your war!

I hope you realise the America is actually very issolated from the government. They don't tell you everything so don't act like you know everything cause you don't. Heck, neither do I but I do know that all of the soldiers are out their risking their lives to keep the people back home, safe. Sadly, you're a dick who also lives back at home. I wake up every morning and I'm thankful to God for the PEACE in my life.I'm also proud to say that I have never nor will I ever take part in such an unjust war as such as in Iraq.I would rather die than take another persons life.Now think if everyone adopted this mentality. wouldn't it be nice if your boyfriend could be an idiot back home with you?In my arguments I may sound harsh and may at times seem like I'm attacking the soldiers but I don't hate the soldiers. I work in the media, so everytime I see or hear of a dead soldier wether be it american or Iraqi I feel horrible.(though I doubt anyone gives a shit about them in this room) I think it's unjust for these kids to be out there fighting a dirty war while a certain few are getting rich off their blood!

This war is the catalyst for further terrorism and more unrest. There are SEVERAL american soldiers that have come back and realized that they made a mistake...unfortunately too late for them. One doesn't need to go into war to understand how it works. There is enough information and precedence for anyone to understand the effects of war and the psychological mindset of the soldiers involved.
