  • I have a habit of falling in love with Icelandic women. Who doesn't?

  • I don't know how to descripe my feelings while watching this video. It's like great art to me so i will not destroy this look by interpret it =D

  • i was watching arrested development season 2 ep 2. and it reminded me of this

  • For a scientist, you're a pretty terrific filmmaker, Ally! :)

  • I get it!

It's almost 4pm. She needs a drink as she just got off work. However the store will be closing soon. This she realizes as she gazes out the window. Eventually becoming into the snowstorm - another road block in her futile hope for more alcohol.

Trying to make the drink last longer, she attempts to add egg. The egg breaks and the shell ruins the drink. Time and time again she tries, but one egg after another is wasted.

Just need to stop drinking! ~.~

  • she can't have babies. many people feel they can be immortal in some way by leaving descendants behind. so in the case of our story the woman feels like her time is ticking away bringing nothing but death.

  • fuck yeah! get them eggs! fuckin' eggs...

  • <3'd it.

  • that was intense.

  • the biological clock?

  • Splendid.

  • Not sure I understood... If I'm not mistaken, the french proverb "Tout vient à point à qui sait attendre." is appropriate.

Anyhow, this vid is aesthetically really enjoyable.

  • Excellent.

  • @kenrg Eggcellent?

  • Because the title was 'Time', I thought that maybe the eggs meant birth, and so was like 'aww' when you held the egg up to yourself - 'she saved that one!'. This, I think, made it more shock-worthy to see it crushed into the sink. xD Lovely video though. <3 Very atmospheric.

  • @missmossxx Thanks! Good interpretation there! :) <3

  • nice

  • confusing. and good.

  • wow.. this was really good. but somehow it's both irritating me and making me sad

  • @Photoshoplilli Well, I'm glad I managed to affect you so. :)

  • Mesmerizing. Well done!

  • YOU'RE AN EGG MURDERER!!!!

(i'm sure they deserved it though.)

  • @speedyconkiwi surely that'd make it egg justifiable homicide?

  • @speedyconkiwi They did. All of them. They got their revenge by stinking up my kitchen. -_- fucking eggs.

  • is the Volcano still going?

  • @dragonarmy86 Nope

  • Beautiful video! Top notch editing work too.

I think it's all about emptyness.

Love it, we want more! :)

  • @EddyBergman :) Good interpretation. Thanks!

  • Schöner Kühlschrank!!

  • @ralfonzo83 Danke!!

  • Time spent without you is but a mere shadow of the life spent with you.

  • @AericWinter <3 <3 <3

  • you're fantastic!

  • Alcohol is bad. D:

  • captivating. well done!

  • interesting an Icelandic woman living in Germany making Swedish cinema. i have an urge to watch a farmer play chess with death now for some reason. odd

  • @makewon99 Heheh.. I'm not really familiar with Swedish cinema, (Except maybe Lilja 4-ever and Fucking Åmål, but I don't think that's what you're referring to) Can you recommend something in the Swedish cinema genre to me?

  • @Dinzla to me the perfect example of Swedish cinema is The Seventh Seal (1957) directed by Ingmar Bergman with Max von Sydow let me know what you think

  • Ich vermiss dich? Are you waiting for someone to come back?

  • @TheUnnamedGent Aren't we all?

  • I'm thinking the main theme is fear of menopause, but jeez Ally your not _that_ old.

  • @jp3d2k Hahahaha! Nice interpretation! <3

  • Brilliant music for a brilliant video. Does time behave differently where you are?

  • @DuckInAParticle Thanks. :) Time behaves the way you yourself perceive it. I am merely portraying a state of being.

  • the rare dinzla sighting is so precious, you're amazing!

  • Sing again soon.

  • Very good video, dissecting time and all - but I'm concerned because you disappeared for four months and then came back wielding some very heavy themes. I hope everything is okay.

  • @MentalHygienist Thanks, and yeah. It's just something I needed to finish before i can move on to other potential videos.

  • Are you okay Ally? The atmosphere, although very well done, isn't exactly bright and cheerfull.. The crushed eggs, the feeling of "cooped upness", the wine and the crushed eggs in the wine, made me think you've been going through a rough time.

I hope i'm wrong, and that you're pulling our legs. I'm a man, and if there were suttle hints of something like that, they're pretty much wasted on me:-p

    Who's missing who?

  • @jo05dk I am. This video was filmed over a year ago in Iceland during difficult times. I never got around to finish editing it, it was too hard. I'm glad I finally did though, it's been haunting me.

  • Den här, är underbart!!!

Thank you from an English/Swedish mind.

  • Eggselent.

  • I love it!!!!

  • There is no real time; just an iron bar going around in circles.

  • I like. I hope I like before it was too late. Like, Like!!!

  • Hello wine.

  • Were any real eggs hurt in the making of this work of art?????

  • @Adipatus Yes, around 10 foul eggs that had been forgotten in the fridge for god knows how long..

  • it's like art... but better...

  • @JXintheZ X-D

  • Great atmosphere well done!

  • how many eggs used in the video were eaten ?

  • @guerillacat None.

  • Woah, I love the atmosphere! The black&white, the weather, all the details and your acting. It all fits together so perfectly!

I'd interpret it as a modern version of Emilíana Torrinis - "Fisherman's woman".

Please make more videos again. :)

  • O_O What did eggs ever do to you?!!

For the first half, I expected you to break out into a Buffy-esque musical number, but you've already done that. The hand reminds me of the opening sequence from The Tomorrow People.

I choose not to interpret. It is what it is. I believe Jonathan Livingston Seagull was a story about a bird. I did, however, really really like it. You do have some mad skillz my dear. (^_^)

PS - An Australian would have removed the wine bladder to get the last bit out...

  • @zebidee55 The eggs took their revenge and stank up the whole place. They might have bin a little too old...

    And thanks ^__^

  • Först?

  • @jp3d2k Tot-ally

  • @Dinzla wooooo I always wanted to do that :)

Very interesting video to say the least.
