wow, I haven't seen steve Vai this entertaining! would have been a blast to have been there. Devin is all over the place haha.. love the energy I see on stage.. eh..especially from the bassplayer ;-) thanks for the upload!
@Ne1s0n64 i'd probably rather listen to the dev play the guitar! vai is technically beast and everything but it never grabs my balls like it really should
@Ne1s0n64 - Because it was the Guitarists (Steve Vai) Show, not Devin Townsend's. Townsend was pretty much just a hired Singer for that Tour, and it was well before he became the well established Artist that he is now. Steve Vai was already very famous and this Tour was to promote his 1993 Album "Sex and Religion" which Townsend sang on.
@peteandurnot Hi, thanks for replying. I get that, but I was just being a bit sarcastic. I haven't heard much of Vai's stuff, so I'll have to check it out. Is Sex and Religion a pretty decent album in his catalogue?
@Ne1s0n64 - No probs, I think it is personally. It was the first album of his that I ever got. It got some harsh criticisms when it came out in 1993 cos People were expecting another "Passion and Warfare" type Album, but it still has merit to this Day I think.
Good God. I love this album and this song, but Devin and Steve acting like...well...morons on stage is a tad distracting!!
And does it seem like on these videos that Steve isn't up to his normally high standards of performance?? Perhaps thats why we haven't heard any of this from Steve either live nor in the form of a formal video release...

Strange seeing Devin like that. A 21 year old crazy tattooed boy, doesn't look much like the metal god we know today. Cool stuff :)
