  • my dad met alstott he almost got him back to play but he had an injury at home :[ but it was worth a try run like hell a train!

  • I love the announcer on this. He explaining what I am trying to explain to everybody today. People love to see power football where in the hell has it gone to? Even high schools are running spread offense. What in the hell is that all about? Bring back power football NFL, please bring that shit back. Man I miss it.

  • Bailey still tackles better than D. Hall...

  • its kinda a miracle he nvr broke his neck! and no surprise he had the neck problems that he did with the way he curled his head so his chin was almost in his chest whenever he went into contact... not hating but im just saying it clda been aloooot worse

  • yeah that right..run over that little nigga

  • Damn, TRUCK!

  • the commentator actually got angry trying to explain his epic winningness

  • Thats how a white man runs a footbawl

  • mike fuckin alcock

  • I think #24 retired after this game lol

  • Alstott is the closest thing to Czonka anyone has seen in a long time. Hillis seems to be the next big premier fullback.

  • @armchairjohnny What about Kuuuuuuuuhhhhhnnnn

  • thats not mike alstott...thats a red 18 wheeler with a big "40" painted on it!!!

  • he is like running back runnin shawn springs over bet he feel bad

  • Peyton Hillis calls his cock Mike Alstott.

  • @jdogg182 LMAO I love that! Yes, yes he does.LOL

  • @jdogg182 Dude Mike Alstott was Peyton Hillis before Peyton Hillis was putting on pullups to go night night

  • Can't really put all the blame on Gruden. alstott was gettin old and the offense was horrible after they won the superbowl. I Love alstott my favorite player ever but when you have a player like him you try to find different ways to get him the ball and gruden just couldn't figure out how to do that outside of the HB/FB position. HE was on the downside of his career by the time gruden took over . Remember he was drafted in '96.

  • That MORON Jon Gruden RUINED Mike Alstott by never playing him and I HATE Gruden more for that then anything else.

  • 1st run: pretty good

    2nd run: DAAAAAMNNN

  • Skins won this game.

  • My favorite player ever. For the hits he made, he'd be fined more than James Harrison if he still played.

  • Hi #24; My Name is Mike Alstott and im with the Tampa Bay Bucs, now if you would excuse me... lmao

  • the announcer called it right before he ran over somebody xD

  • MIKE ALSTOTT HANDED THE TORCH OFF 2 PEYTON HILLIS!

  • are you serious? #24 should have known better. who tries to tackle in a kneeling position?

  • he introduced that running style, amen

  • Mike Alstott transferred his beastly spirit into Peyton Hillis when he retired......just sayin not everyone knows that

  • @aldomillos even so.. he would never run over sean taylor.. no one did

  • Sean Taylor on the tackle! He would never run over 21 ;)

  • What a FUCKING MONSTER!!!

  • Mike Alstott + Peyton HIllis? If only dreams came true

  • @OhDamFitAndReady haha, and they're both gonna wear #40 because nobody would ever tell them they couldn't.

  • Final round alstott fans! keep voting for Hillis to be on the madden cover! time for the bigger backs to get some attention in the league enough of the QBs on the cover, time for some smash mouth football!

  • Boom!!!!! 24 got owned lmao i miss the A train

  • hey alstott fans, Hillis has advanced yet again in the madden voting, keep voting for Hillis! The big backs in the league need to make a stand and finally get recognized!

  • Comment removed

  • VOTE FOR PEYTON HILLIS TO BE ON THE NEXT MADDEN COVER!!! TYPE IN MADDEN 12 COVER ON GOOGLE AND GO VOTE FOR HILLIS!!! VOTE EVERYDAY! Show your support for whether you are a Browns fan or not! Alstott was like Hillis so voting for Hillis is a nod to Alstott!

  • WHO WAS NUMBER 24 THAT GOT TRUCKED?

WAS IT CHAMP BAILEY OR SHAWN SPRINGS?

  • @KINGRODP

    Springs.

  • @KINGRODP Springs... b/c Champ didnt play with S. Taylor; but it would have been even better if it was Champ "a future Hall of Famer"

  • A white man carrying the football...beautiful

  • @n1ckmsrt we dont need that here, come on man

  • This is the kind of football i like... Smashmouth, Very little juking and sidesteppin. Todays football is the exact opposite, players get fined for the way they tackle now, its football shit happens, if you dont like it... QUIT

  • It would be scary to see a Power I formation with Alstott at fullback and Peyton Hillis at halfback. They would just run through everybody.

  • @mercenaryman1190 YOU WOULD NEED 18 MEN ON DEFENSE!!!!

    LOL

  • @mercenaryman1190 Jumbo set with lorenzo blockin and Atrain at HB was pretty similiar to that.... ,miss dat shit

  • The BEST fullback in NFL history. Nobody runs like this anymore. NOBODY.

  • @Goblinz30 Peyton Hillis does

  • That's the A-train baby!

  • peyton hillis will pick up where alstott left off

  • @MaliciiouZ truer words were never spoken!

  • alstott is power and very good but what blount is doing right now jumping over people and powering people is something i never seen

  • i thought this was gonna be that play where alstott never broke the plane but they called it a TD and redskins lost, i was in middle school when i saw it and heeeeeated

  • to bad now that amazing hit would NOW probably be called "illegal"

  • @ChatRouletteKiller

no. it was helmet to chest. Perfectly legal even today.

  • Brutal.

  • Hey dude Alstott was a FULLBACK not a TAILBACK like Jimmy Brown.

  • Damn, he got LOW.

  • oh that poor safety, i don't think he knows what hit him

  • lol, i like how he steps on his neck as hes trucking him

  • Don't go comparing apples to oranges guys. Jim Brown was the most productive runner in history. Yes it was a different era

I'll tell ya what though, If you had a time machine, Jim Brown is one of the few old timers who could have played today. He was bigger even back than a lot of starting backs these days. He also ran a 4.5 second 40 in full pads. He was a fair bit bigger than Adrian Peterson or Ladanian Tomlinson and nearly as fast.

Do not doubt Jim Brown, he is one of the best athletes ever

  • at 0:46 DAYUM!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA YO GOT TRUCKED. lol he probably saw that number 40 ands was like FUCK!!!!! next thing u know "POP" Ii wonder if he saw the white flash after that hit lol.

  • god that announcer is fucking annoying

  • at 1:11 #24 was shitting his pants

  • I remember playing Nfl Street 1. and Alstott would just break every single tackle.

  • Alstott was the man. I'd have liked to see him on a team that had a good O-line like the Steelers during those years....letting Alstott get a head of steam before hitting the hole 15+ times a game would have been insane. In Tampa he had to deal with some pretty weak O-lines and a team that usually wasn't that committed to running the ball in his later years.

  • It would be a honor to be ran over by mike alstott lmao

  • @austinwillkill u are a real bucs fan my friend lol

  • @austinwillkill you mean, it would be your DEATH to be ran over by mike alstott XD

  • when i was 4 alstott became my favorite person in the world i had his posters the jerseys a stuffed alstott hat signed by him football signed by him bobble heads a giant bucs blanket that had 40 on it i had it all . i had no clue what football was or wht it was about all i knew was that mike alstott was a beast lol

  • i miss him man, he's the reason i started LIKING football, the reason i became a BUCS fan...he was the best FB ever.

  • lol @ all these people calling Alstott the best FB ever. He was a good runner, yes. that is it. larry csonka best FB ever, with Lerenzo neal

  • How tall is Alstott?

  • @blackandgold51 Around 6'1"-6'2"

  • @Fnoel98356

    Thanx.

  • Amazing athlete and role model. Highly respected by fans, teammates, coaches, and opponents. He will be missed.

  • I love Alstott, but some of you are a little delusional. He may have been fun to watch, but he was certainly not the "best fullback ever". When he actually played fullback, he was only an average blocker. It was when he was in single back formation or as a tailback in the I-formation that he shined, and it was as a runner.

He'll never make the Hall of Fame, but I hope the Bucs do the right thing and include him in the new Ring of Honor.

  • incredible you just dont see any fullbacks like that anymore

  • mike alstott

    the best Fullback PERIOD

no other fullbacks compare to him

  • @ohbitch94 Larry Sconka was just as good!!!!

  • @ohbitch94 there is one that compares to him and that would be the great JIM BROWN

  • @ohbitch94 jim brown?

  • @ohbitch94 - Larry Czonka was the prototype to Mike Alstott, no offense....

  • I like when he step'd on #24's throat... Awesome!

  • Watch some Tom Rathman highlights. He was a great fullback.

  • You think Taylor could have done anybetter than the seafty who tried to stop him at :41?

Mike Alstott is the best FB to EVER play the position.. Would have had better numbers if Gruden didn't ruin him and rarely use him.. He won SO many games for us.. the man deserves a HoF ballet.. One of the best Buccaneers ever, #40 you ARE the man!

  • the best run I've ever seen was a Mike Alstott run. It was in the Playoffs and I just remember shitting a brick. I can;t find it on youtube...

  • Sean Taylor wouldn't change anything...he would have been decked as well lol

  • we'll nev no kuse he's dead

  • @MrKingjawan If he was there, Taylor's life wouldn've ended sooner.

  • man dats not funny its to soon he just died acouple of years ago lol

  • Comment removed

  • boom !"

  • Amazing. My favorite player of all time, in the NFL. Thanks for everything, Mr. Alstott. Sorry that Gruden treated you poorly.

  • I think this was my 1st bucs Game yea i rember this i was on the southeast side upper deck well theres 1 thing 4 sure when he was fback . Your In Good Hands With Alstott

  • now thats a brusing tailback!

  • NOW THATS A BEAST FULL BACK!

  • is this from this year?

  • his feet weren't even square and he wasnt fully braced. so Mike alstott is still beast, but everyone gets ran over at some point or another in the nfl

  • We should have gotten Lorenzo Neal and lined up Alstott behind him. Talk about a power backfield lawl

  • my all time favorite football player by far

  • I love the commentator's reaction to Alstott trucking Springs.

  • WOW! He ran over Sean Taylor, one of the biggest hitting and most physical safeties of all time

  • haha he did not run over Sean Taylor! thats physically impossible ;);). RIP #21

  • No, Im pretty sure thats shaun springs #24. Sean Taylor was #21

  • Sean Taylor?? you blind it was Shawn Springs you dumbass

  • Sean Taylor made the tackle on the second run.

  • no troy vincent and Marcus Washington did im not sure if Sean was even in on that play but on the second run Sean Taylor was no where near Mike Alstott if he was

  • sean taylor got wrecked

  • shawn springs the corner not sean taylor the safety i dnt even think he was a starter that year...

  • Wow most of his big runs where from Back of the I formation. They should have used him more. And what the Hell everybody argueing over Riggins and Alstott they where both Great Backs.

  • damn...he gave dude the works...no respect

  • lawlz @ Gradkowski.

  • I'm not a bucs fan but i loved watching MIKE ALLSOTT play. The BEST white boy fullback ever to step on the football field..FUCKIN' STUDD!! #40 Mike Allsott FOREVER!!

  • 2nd best fullback! John Riggins was 1st! Then again Tampa was stupid not to let him be there featured back.

  • You know, if Shaun Alexander ran the football like that, the Seattle Seahawks would have won the Super Bowl. Gotta love a running back that has no regard for his (or any one else's) body.

  • @Fnoel98356 or if alsott had a blocking duo like walter jones and steve hutchinson you'd always see him trucking the defensive secondary like that almost every run.

  • @Fnoel98356 Wasn't he a FB ?

  • best FB ever to play in the NFL.

    he deserves HOF for sure!

  • Hell yea 11yrs with TampaBay!

  • @ZuSpect99 umm jim brown was a full back lol

  • @forza1992 and what is your point? i would choose alstott over jim brown any day

  • @ZuSpect99 yaa thats smart, allstott was awsome im not taking anything away from the guy but if u havent noticed jim browns is the best athlete in modern history

  • @forza1992 no he was not .. look at the players back then and take a look at the players today .. there is a HUGE difference, the NFL players today is way more athletic than they were back in jims time and alstott was more athletic than jim brown ever was.

  • @ZuSpect99 hahahahaha are u actually being serious???? i thought u were kidding!!! so u actually think that alstott was a better player than JIM BROWN????? omg u need to take your meds man, it took i dont know how many years for a player to beat jim's rushing record and keep in mind that when jim played there were only like 9-12 games (not 100% sure) and he only played 9 seasons. everyone also knew that they were going to keep running to jim and he killed EVERYONE every play. give me a break

  • @forza1992 go watch a jim brown video if you like him so much .. my opinion will never change, Mike Alstott is the best FB ever to play in the NFL.

  • @ZuSpect99 haha yur a tard

  • @forza1992 awesome

  • @ZuSpect99 Let's see, Jim Brown got 30 more rushing touchdowns than Mike Alstott, 6,000 more rushing yards, 3 more pro bowls, more receptions, and he averaged 5.0 yards per carry while Alstott ran for 3.5. Jim Brown was far more superior than Mike Alstott, in fact his record for rushing yards is still hard to break to this day.

  • @LqrDrnkr757

Sorry, is this a Jim Brown video?, no, fuck off.

  • @LqrDrnkr757 and where did you come from lmao you must be like 50 year's old.no one here is talking about brown,he was a good player butt we are all about allstott so move on.

  • @LqrDrnkr757 Wow, most random comparison ever? Also, Jim Brown wasn't a fullback, fuck nugget. That made about as much sense as saying Marvin Harrison was a better player than Alstott because he had more receiving yards...

  • @PilotPilot2889 Jim Brown was a fullback you fuckin' moron

  • @LqrDrnkr757 Yeah, his position was "full back" but he played in the 50's and 60's where the full back position was totally different (for one thing, they had way more carries). To compare Brown to Alstott purely on statistics makes no sense. If you took Brown's dick out of your mouth for a second and asked him, I'm sure he'd tell you that.

  • @ZuSpect99 jim brown ***

  • @ZuSpect99 Technically he was a runningback on tampa, until warrick dunn came along then they mad him the FB

  • was that sean taylor?

  • no, that was shawn springs. He sucked for the skins. Never liked him. was hurt all the time.

  • he was hurt but sure did cover people ten time better then Smoot does. Last year he held T.O. to 2 catches

  • Gosh i sometimes wonder how he would be remembered if he was a RB, and he got more like 300 carries every season, Jon Gruden loved Mike and if Mike was in another city, he porbably wouldn't of got as many carries and you would not of seen as many great runs like these, the best FB ever, he should go to the hall of fame.

  • Gruden loved him? Gruden was a fucking idiot should of lined him up in the back of the I and give him the ball! that is where he got most of his runs. problem is usually blocking for Warrick Dunn. Gruden was a idiot!

  • if im not mistaken. i think brandon jacobs did that to the same redskin

  • y y y you gotta love that h-h-h-h-honestly

  • wow......he butchered that guy

  • "What...what don't you understand about this?"

Who the hell is he talking to? the voices in his head?

  • ALSTOTT IS THE MAN!!!!! No other Fullback will compare to the "A-Train"

    Will be missed.

  • no other fullback?? ALLSTOTT COULD NOT CARRY JOHN RIGGIN'S JOCK STRAP!!!! the diesel is the best fb ever..no one else even compares...

  • Sure, he has 2more yrs then Alstott, lets not forget Alstott had 2-3 unhealthy yrs. John Riggin, I doubt did half the damage Mike Alstott does. I dont kno... ya must need to watch a few more Mike Alstott videos to see

  • I think you need to watch a few videos of John (The diesel) Riggins..

  • I bet if Alstott had the luxury to be a fulltime back like Riggins and ran behind that line back then, I think you'd change your mind in a split second. Riggins was great, no doubt, I loved him, but Alstott is a rare talent that comes around once every couple decades or so, there's a reason he is loved so much, he's a clavicle breaker!

  • riggins is the best..only white man to ever rush for over 10,000 yards...THE DIESEL!!!!...they gave the ball to riggins 30 times a game because he could take the load..he was a bruiser...and he was the best...

  • Couldn't hold his jock strap huh? Put John Riggins against the faster, stronger, bigger, more talented defences of today and Riggins would get his ass kicked. Put Alstott against the defences of yesterday and no one would even remember the name John Riggins

  • keep telling yourself that and after awhile you might start to actually believe it..I guess with your thinking darell green could'nt even play today with his 1983 4.1 40 yard dash..hahaha your funny..

  • There have been a ton of fast people come into this league with the way it is today and not make it...but your obviously a skins fan and therefore are simply still living in the past (who can blame you) because the skins have no future

  • riggins is in the hall of fame..the only way allstott will get there is buy paying the $ 12 admission price at the door...keep looking at that one lombardi throphy the bucs have..we got three..and i guess earl campbell and tony dorsett couldnt play today either...

  • So Alstott isn't going to make the hall of fame huh? Keep telling YOURSELF that one...If Riggins could make it with his carreer 58 fumbles 1 probowl and 1 1st team all pro selections I'm pretty sure Alstott can make it with his 6 probowls and 3 1st team all pro selections

  • you forgot to mention his 10,000 plus yards 100 plus tds and his super bowl mvp..their stats are not even close..oh yeah and lawrence taylor and dexter manley could'nt play in todays game either..your funny..

  • Alstott had half as many carries and had over 70 td's and over 5,000 yards. Like *I said those players WERE good in their time but they wouldn't cut it today, stop living in the past...any other players you wanna put out there? your the funny one kid...oh and the only reason he won mvp is because of a lucky 43 yard run he had....whoopty freakin dooo

  • hes not gonna make the hall of fame..get over it...joe jacoby made 4 pro bowls was on the all decade team and won 3 sb rings..he isnt in and niether will allstott...

  • Ok guy I understand you don't like Alstott because of what he did to your precious skins on the vid but to say that he will not make the hall of fame is nothing short of (for lack of a better word) stupid. I do believe that Jacoby should be in (one day he will be after all if it wasn't for him Riggins wouldn't have been SB MVP) but your just searching for reasons why Alstott shouldn't be in but we all know he'll be there one day.

  • John Riggins was a halfback ;)

I hate the 'skins, and I was born after he retired. I STILL know that.

  • Riggins was a stud plain and simple..he was usually listed as a fb earlier in his days..the man could run up the middle with power and had the speed that alstott did not have to run around the outside..FB and HB are the same thing except FB tend to block more..and usually have no speed..riggins did both..alstott could'nt carry the load the way Riggins could

  • Riggins was Fullback. Washington Redskins used a two Tightend set. for 1 back set! or in a split set! FB POSITION!

  • Gibbs thought up that 2 TE formation, in the early 80s, to defend against Lawrence Taylor, because a fullback wasn't fast enough to block LT. That would mean he would've played in a single-back set, or been listed as a fullback, for the final four years of his career (Because Taylor entered the league in 1981, and Riggo only played until '85)

From the 70s, until 1981, he would've been an I-formation HALFBACK.

  • Alstott was a fullback on paper as well... so was Riggins

  • He reminds me of myself. Go 100% and dont give mercy in football. Thats explains why i have been injured so much. Broken wrist, broken jaw, dislocated shoulder 3 times, ACL tear in 3 years of football and im 16.

  • I played tailback for 4 years and had a laundry list of injuries. I'm 25 now and I still have problems with my shoulders and knees. I don't regret it though, lots of memories there. I think I played 1/3 of my time on the field hurt lol.

  • its very rare that someone who is 16 has a torn ACL most kids dont suffer that

  • Really? You must have gotten jacked alot. I mean most people give 100 percent but it sounds like your the nail most times instead of the hammer. Lower your shoulder dawg.

  • Dude, you gotta understand why he was injured for so long he's old and he did all the work during gameplay. *Give the ball to Alstott he's know what to do~* lmao

  • DAMN MIKE KILLED SHAWN

  • shawn springs never had a chance

  • A Tailback trapped in a Fullback's body, rare findings.

  • I feel really sorry for Shawn Springs on that second run. There was no way he was taking down Alstott on that play.

Nothing against Springs... Alstott is just that badass.

  • reminds me of stephen davis

  • The Madden "Truck Stick" at 0:45 . Poor Shawn Spring
