One is because they really want a Mac and can't afford it or two, they feel they have something to prove by making an OS work on something it was never intended to. These are the same types who get off by installing Linux on a refrigerator.

its got a lot of dislikes because its a pretty ordinary review. definitely not up to linus's usual standard. im not a fanboy in fact i was highly sceptical of macs till i started using them. the ilife suite alone is worth the extra coin. plus the ease of dual booting with windows.

@gmk120 They just don't like the fact that Apple is so good a marketing and branding themselves, that they have gotten 95% of computer users to think that they are the greatest, most forward, far superior computer company to buy from. Apple is very clever its not easy to sell a $700 computer for $1,400 to somebody. Anyone that says Windows is perfect and awesome is well a fanboy, really you don't have much choice. I'm hoping for a Google OS in the future.

@seroyer2 apple must be very good at marketing to be able to sell so well those products with those prices (ipad maybe can cost 450 bucks, but still it's expensive), and i would get an iMac, but if i want to change the hardware i must get the iMac wich has a tower, and it costs 2200 bucks... and also i cannot run many games on iOS.

And yes, Windows is not perfect, the one wich is nearest to perfection is the iOS, i have been using it on my father's iMac and i never had a freeze

@seroyer2 IOS works because most of the Software thats used on it is made by Apple so it optimized for IOS thats why Macs work really well at what they do. When a company makes a game they make it on PC's they have to then convert it to work on Xbox,PS3,Wii,PC,MAC. so they cant really optimize it as well, and they have to compromise it so it will work on different platforms.

They perform well and they are made to last not to be overclocked and benchmarked. Comparing your gaming laptop to a macbook air is like comparing a orange to steak... Or a Ford F-350 to a mazda rx-8...

Well I am sure there are ways of making something "similar" without deliberately copying Apple's model. Many pc users damage their charging component (dc-jack) and it is an issue I believe should be addressed. People spend money on repairing products with horrible build-design flaws and that's wrong. I do understand patents and why a company can not "copy" Apple but I was just making a statement about the technology.

I hate that people buy apple computers because they are "easier to use". Sorry but if you find windows hard to use then you're retarded. I've been using windows since I was 5 (started on windows 3.1) and have never found it difficullt. Also the argument that "you don't get spyware/trojans on a mac". I don't know what you are downloading to get them, but I don't use antivirus or spyware software on either of my pcs (one is 4 yrs old now) and have never had a virus.
