I love G.E.W.S. - it's depressing to see it carved up, decontextualized, repackaged and dished up stone cold as a music video for some band. And the original Popul Vuh soundtrack to this footage is a hundred thousand times better. DO SOMETHING ORIGINAL, DUDES!
I saw this film years ago at a Werner Herzog film festival at the Egyptian. Herzog himself had dreamed of being an Olympic champion ski jumper, but admitted that he could never quite make the grade. I wonder if he's seen this version of his footage? Very nice job!
