  • he ain't playing that rich

  • I'm not sure if it was this song, but I do recall that Paul made me want to play all my instruments on an album.

  • if anyone could make her sound presentable was gonna take a freakin' BEATLE

  • I never understand those that think Lennon had the best post-Beatle stuff. Cause Macca kicked ASS.

  • IIII LLLOOOOVVVVVV PAUUULL SONGSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How tall is Paul McCartney & his weight?

  • paul mccartney playing them drums really turns me on

  • @mollehhhx

Someone asked John if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. John said he's not even the best drummer in the Beatles. (Rumor has it.)

  • @jx14aby - lol......THAT is pretty funny...

  • @mollehhhx Paul McCartney reading the phonebook turns me on.....

  • Ridiculous clip, but what a beautiful bass. Great song too!

  • What's amazing about this song is how cool it is and how simple it is. This video and the song were done by 3 people. The rythum never comes off A ..Other than a quick E.. The bass line it's a simple blues riff.

Most importantly it was a hit.. A major 1 and a half chord hit..Pretty smart High or not..We all were high back than.. :)

  • Hello I´m from Mexico city, I play the bass in a local band, and you are absolutly right the bass line it´s a simple blues riff, but that´s what amazing of Paul Mcartney, with simple riffs he creates so amazing sounds... I´ve tried to play this song sometimes along with my friends, but it will never never sound the same as when its played by Paul !!!

  • PM and Wings were great.

This song is one example why.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • this is a ridiculous music video...but paul is great on drums.

and @rich655 paul may not be showing off any crazy bass solos, but pick a beatles song and listen to the bass. he is a beautiful composer on the bass (and everything) and the melodies fit perfectly with the songs. that's quite a talent thing to me :)

  • When John Lennon was asked if he thought Ringo was the best drummer in the world, he replied "He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles."

  • @modspell hahaha...that Lennon...

  • best. songwriter. ever.

  • Agreed. Worst mustache ever.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa PAUL IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SEXY!!!!

    I JUST LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!

  • what an embarrassing, self indulgent video.... Paul is such a cornball....but he knows how to rock.

  • neither one would win afganistan idol

  • Denny Lane is the greatest guy, but that has to qualify for the dorkiest mustache in rock and roll history

  • Paul looks so hot when playing the drums x3

  • @fifiesponja07 yeah!!!!

  • @fifiesponja07 GAY!!!!!!

  • DRUGS!!!!!

  • Anyone know what McCartney is doing with his Rickenbacker Bass nowdays.

  • @JRGrange25 rockin it hard!!!

  • some people really don't get it. Too bad for them!!!

  • entertaining

  • Linda is so cute in this.

  • ...my brother and I up in Vermont skiing.. then, late at night at a local pizza and sub shop '14 years old or so we kept a sweetheart waitress entertained with more and more quarters purchasing THIS one too!...(but a lovesong on the radio at the time by The Bells!)

  • just can't watch Linda on a loop thou,sry :(

  • I can listen to this song on a loop

  • Great song and video. Anybody else experience the sound going in and out on this though? Maybe it's just my speakers.

  • @NationalistRussian The sound is a little dodgy, not too bad.

  • Helen Wheels Was Inspired by Paul And Linda's Land Rove Which They Nicknamed "Hell On Wheels" Which Is Clear in the Line "Helen (Helen) Hell on Wheels''

  • Are you kidding me? Paul was the true musical genius in the Beatles. Don't get me wrong, John is absolutely a legend. But John helping Paul with lyrics? "Yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye"? Sounds like poetry written by a 14 year old who read one too many Ginsberg poems.

  • Joe English played drums on Band on the Run

  • @proteus244 Joe English did not play drums on Band on the run. Paul played drums. Denny Seiwell who left the band before Paul,Denny and Linda went to Lagos to record Band on the Run said Paul must have liked his drumming (from rehearsals) because he copied it for the album. Joe english didn't show up until after Geoff Britin left

  • 1:44 Denny looking pretty high (and quite cute).

  • @RAG1060 Seemed like he always looked a bit high back then! LOL

  • B side to Country Dreamer which has a frickin CRACKIN intro, I learned to play it and everything. Just couldn't play the rest.........

  • my brother's first wife what she put him through..HelenBECK! that bitch!

  • NOTHING...I mean....NOTHING.....looked cooler than Paul McCartney holding that GORGEOUS looking Rickenbacker 4001 bass!!

  • @rich655 I respectfullydisagree. The coolest looking musician was Jimmy Page and his gorgeous 1959 Les Paul Standard guitar!

  • @rich655 Maybe Getty Lee?

  • @rich655 or Chris Squire of Yes

  • @leegeddyfan Granted....Chris Squire could BURY Paul on playing the bass.

But Paul just has "that" cool Rock Star LOOK to him when he's playing that thing!!

    It's a visual thing.......not a talent thing!

  • That damn bass is soooo good looking!

  • JUST GREAT STUFF!

  • Paul playing drums!!!

  • Paul played drums on Band on the Run,McCartney 1 and 2 and on Back in the USSR.

  • Didn`t Paul also play lead guitar on this tune?

  • I think so.Since Wings' lead guitarist left the band before the Band on the Run album was recorded,Paul filled in on lead guitar and drums on this album.Denny Laine played rythym guitar so the lead had to be Paul.Plus it sounds like a lead solo in Pauls style. His leads were always very melodic.Take Ticket to Ride.Paul played the lead on that.

  • My theme song! Woot! I haven't heard this in decades!

  • Ahh, the glory days for Paul & Linda of the mid-Seventies...They were so happy then...Has it REALLY been 35 years ?!?

  • did u know that this song is about a childs potty?

  • no it's not, read the lyrics

  • I thought this song was saying Oh, Yellow Wheels...the mind of a small child! lol What can I say, I was eight?

  • nice song! i think paul made this song for me. he!he!he!

  • reminds me of a song Joe Walsh could have written - nice syncapation beat

  • I definitely agree that this could've easily been a Joe Walsh tune, this song seriously kicks ass

  • Thats my neighbors name HELEN & ERV

  • Great song, this was definitely Paul at his very peak after the Beatles breakup

  • yes a great one from the liverpool southpaw.

  • who said paul wrote all the soft songs?

  • Paul

  • liverpool - where they play the west coast sound

  • linda is greatly missed, happy birthday paul from canadaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I never quite got what was the deal with McCartney and Lennon both putting the missus in the act.

  • I didn't ever think that Linda Mccartney's backup vocals, or her lead vocal on Seaside Woman sounded bad in even the slightest iota. However, it's an entirely different story with John's widow.

  • I had read quite some time ago that Paul wanted her in the band & wanted her to play keyboards. She was a bit intimidated to do so.

  • This is true.

  • @djminimoto Linda's vocals in the bootleg from Wings "76 are something else. Live and Let Die.. "You know' you did you know you did.." were played over and over on L.A. radio until Sir Paul put a stop to it

  • Not now, no. But there's an awful lot of people on here that really do believe it.

  • oh ya yoko was SO talented also. she must have written all of johns music. you dont think im serious?

  • I was being sarcastic dumbass!

  • hey folks, whats all the crap.

  • I never even rated her as a photographer. I mean when you can afford the finest Nikons and lenses, with her connections, a photo of a cow pat covered with those orange shit flies would be regarded as a masterpiece.

  • So, d'you reckon that would be too much baccy, or too much weed?

  • Too many lentils I reckon. You can't live off that shit for long!

  • Linda McCartney so talented???

Having seen her trying to sing and play keyboards, you're taking the piss, right?

Maybe she was good at rolling joints and cooking lentil casseroles.

  • She weren't even much good at that, remember she died of cancer.

  • wot a complete fucking tool.

  • Linda was SO talented. And Paul was SO codependent of her. But i will say he was a great songwriter and musician. But no better than the other 2 Beatles John and George. As was proof of their solo careers. I was sorry to see how he was ripped off by his last "love". Money he well earned without her help.

  • fuck off, talented at WHAT???

  • Paul is perfect

  • The after mass of a beatles breakup produced song great songs, and this is one of them

  • Paul went on a little too long, but Wings put out some real good music.

  • Great album. About 6 hits in a row.

  • pauls lyrics were half his magic

  • AND THE OTHER HALF WAS HIS PENIS!!!

  • This song reminds me of Got to Get You into My Life.

  • A little bit.Your right The guitar definitley does..Paul had a knack for writing good hard rock songs and this song is one of them. This is an underated song and is one of the best hard rock songs of all time.

  • Until 1979, I had no idea that Paul McCartney played hard rock, then he put out Getting Closer from Back to the Egg. Then I later found out the Beatles as a group were doing hard rock as early as 1968. Most of the time, Paul is thought of as mellow, especially Yesterday or My Love.

  • Paul had it whether you wanna believe it

  • I'm personally not a big Paul McCartney/Wings fan but I've always liked this song alot.

  • One of my favourite Mac tunes....

  • This is a hell of a song.I never heard this one before. Its great. Its really rockin.

  • Whatever happened between Denny and Paul?

  • they split up. LOL!

  • I believe the American version of the Band On The Run album is better because it has this song on it. The official BotR didn't feature Helen Wheels.

  • you're right. it helps the second side of the album rock a bit more as that was the experimental side with ballads. i forget, did they just simply leave this off the U.K version or replace it with another track?

  • It wasn't intended to be put on the original UK version. It was put on the U.S. version against Paul's wishes. It's a great song, it's perfect on the album.

  • hell yeah it is! can't imagine the record without it. been listening to it for 30 years now. I do recall Paul trying to release it as a hit though and pulled it back on the advice of a record exec who thought (correctly) that Jet would fare better. Probably the only time in his solo career where he actually did take someone

's advice. It's more of a great album track, than a monster hit. Great guitar riffing throughout.

  • yes, this song is running too fast.

  • Yes, that's true, but I'm surprised that there is any video of this song available. I believe this was first single released from the Band on the Run album in the states.

  • omg the guitarist looks so stoned

  • How dare u! Linda influenced alot of music that Paul played. RIP Lady Linda McCartney.

  • I always thought Linda and Yoko both got a bad rap ("breaking up the Beatles" and all that shit). Were John and Paul (and George and Ringo, for that matter) supposed to remain adolescents forever? No matter who they married, disgruntled Beatles fans would have objected.

  • LOL, really? Somehow I very much doubt that.

  • why does it sound like this was recorded off a vinyl with the speed set just a tad too fast?

  • Slap the fowl. Humilliate the fowl.

  • Burn the fowl.

  • This is not on! Sick fucker, somone should lock this pig away!!

  • The time has come, stomp. Time for us to drink to the death of a guinea fowl.

  • I´m with you PilMcCartney ^^ the 60´s or 70´s for ever n ever

  • this song and specialy this video are so 70s... I wish we were stuck in the 70s forever... John Lennon was still alive too!

  • lol this song brings back memories!

  • PAUL FOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WENT TO HIS LAST CONCERT!!!!! PAUL FOR THE WIN!!!!!

And for all the motherfuckers... PAUL IS NOT DEAD! Paul of 1995 is the same paul of today.

  • Don't care what anyone thinks... I only know this is a great Rockin' song. And Paul is still ALL!

  • paul, the fun one, john was serious. george did as he was told, ringo, a replacement, was just glad to be in the group. the combination was the greatest force to be heard in music since berlin and gershwin, forty years earlier. each beatles post beatles recording's reflected their individual personalities,,john still very serious, paul fun fun fun, george went god-love,,,thx them,,,don't play games with their recording's to meet your selfish needs. remember...nothing is better, nothing is best.

  • Somebody much older and wiser than me must explain all the hate for Post- Beatles Paul McCartney. People like to diss him for not making songs with an enormous meaning behind it (Such as John Lennon, my favorite songwriter of all time), but the dude could write a hell of a song, regardless of its meaning (Or lack thereof).

  • I dont think John Lennon´s songs was only about the meaning, theres a great melody in the songs too.I like Paul, butI think when Barry Miles released "Many Years From Now",people started to think that Paul was trying to take John Lennon´s place or something I dont know really.

  • Nah they hated Paul long before that. Because he lived and John died is really what it comes down to. Paul's songs have meaning, it just depends on what kind of meaning you are looking for(and plenty of John's songs aren't really all that deep).

  • nonsense . x

  • lol it does baffle me. he is great.

  • One of my favorite songs. Thanks.

  • always loved this song

  • I've been a Beatles fan for a good 12 years+ and know alot about the sound and the writing styles,no expert, but have a good idea of what's good and what's not so good, and it's not based on whether it's a John song or a Paul song. I've had trouble deciding if I had to pick, which one do I prefer as far as style? If I had to choose one or the other, well Paul to me is the one with the most talent, but I hate to make that choice cos I think I like more John songs, doh! But Paul songs make me happier =)

  • ppaul was more technical John was ruff on the edges

  • and that is why they were such a good combo.

not a single a group has been like them.

    even the jonas brothers...yaks!

  • not even the Jonas brothers lol. I think John and Paul were capable as individuals, all the Beatles were, but together they were greater than the sum of thier parts. RIP Geprge and John.

  • Lennon and mccartney where a great duo. But paul was the better talent. Sorry, just a fact.

  • That is not a fact. What shit are you trying to make up loser? I like them both, but I prefer John.

  • his best

  • Thanks for posting this video. No matter how many times I hear it I love this song. I'm in grade school all over again.

  • Sir Macca's a great lead guitarist too eh ?!!

  • for sure

  • Hey he played some great lead guitar in the Beatles. Taxman, Ticket to Ride, Another Girl, Sgt. Pepper(the song), Good Morning, I've read he played the lead on Back in the USSR. The guitar solo on Maybe I'm Amazed from the first McCartney album is pretty brilliant, very emotional imo.

You should hear the solos he does on this newer song of his called "House of Wax", pretty awesome.

  • yeah i know .. where've you been ? lol .. i commented time ago !! .. hope you're ok ! love and peaces .

  • ...but let me spell it out for you please!...(lol!/a comment removed!)

  • i didn't make sense ;-)

  • M6 South down to Liverpool where they play the west coast sound....

    Great coming from Liverpool....:-)

  • I loved to dance to this record at the disco

  • I like 2 watch u dance :)

  • I like to stay away from people like you xD

  • Why do you want to stay away from people like me?? Sounds like a nasty comment

  • E Minor

  • love it

  • Helen Wheels features Paul rockin with his bass like Get Back...lots of drive! Brilliant!

  • Holy '70s Batman! Nice lapels, Paul! :-)

  • i looove this :)

    happy birthdayyy paulie<3

  • This song is awesome, the bass is awesome and Macca is one of the greatest bass players ever. I wish I had a wife who were my best friend the way Linda was to Paul. It was nice of him to put her in his band even though she couldn't really play much.

  • I didn't know there WAS a clip for this song! WAY COOL FIND!

  • Oh, he looks so hot and the song is great :D

  • linda had big boobs---that was her best feature.
