where is the proof ? we just saw 5 sec footage of a crashtest without any speed informations. plus the TATA NANO looks like a shopping cart :D - and is slow as fuck with its 33Hp engine - and lost its wiper, door panel and door opener - and you still can not open the backseat´s windows. and the tata nano caught fire in its first road test

To solve your problems, watch closely people who dont believe in the test, The rear of the car rose up, indicating it was a speed high enough to make it go up.

And people who do like this car, stop claiming that it's safe! it was just a full frontal test, you still dont know if it will do well in an offset crash.

This is really not that safe at high speeds. Tata said that it did only the full frontal crash test and it exceeded the safety in india. Thats really really poor safety in india. many sad here that its good that the car wont crush. WRONG. No crumple zones is a bad thing as if it crumples, it absorbs most of the shock of the impact or else, all the shock goes to your head. Around 75G and your history. Tata said that airbags and abs are not required for safety. Thats stupid. Also Im from INDIA.

Have you ever crashed with a Tata Nano before ? If you did then I will believe you. Yes you are right not any Ferreari of of $100.000 will survive a crash with speed above 80km/hr will survive cos they aren't not designed for this but for pure sport and speed, The Tata nano is design for economic and not for crash. At least if you want to paid 5.6 millions for a main battle tank . Can you produce a safety car with the budget under $2.000? It's the reality.

Well, the crash test shows that it won't totally crush itself under its own weight (well, for this car, would be extremely low).

Add the weight of a passengers+baggage...double the weight? (exponentially increases the impact force).

How about if a *normal* car hits it?

:) dude, if you do not have an airbag and seat belt on and you crash into a static object capable of putting you to a halt... at less than 15 KMPH, your legs' bone fragments will be embroidered in the dashboard and I am talking about tough cars. This car is equivalent to sitting on an unstoppable four wheel frame going on to hit a brick wall.
