I love all of Andrea Gibson's poems, but this is the first time one has made me cry. It makes me sad to realize that I am not the only person who has this relationship with my mother, and it makes me sad to finally hear what's happening put to words. I love my mother, but I cannot believe it when she says the same to me any longer. Thank you for posting this.
