I finished this game. I got it early. The game is awesome, it's better than gears 1 and 2. I haven't played much multiplayer though. The game is short but not as short as Gears 2, the graphics are a little better. All I got to say is a lot of people are going to be sad...Not saying anything......................­.........

@leefulton2 No, they are not the best on consoles. Uncharted 3 looks better, as usual, and games like Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Crysis 2, Killzone 2/3 are arguably still in the top for console graphics at the moment. Rage also looks like it will be giving these games a run for their money.

No, just no. Slightly better is an enormous understatement. Virtually any PC game set to max settings and resolution looks far, far, far better than anything a console can produce. Go play a PC game like Crysis 2 or Metro 2033 at max settings with DX11 turned on, you will be blown away. No game on consoles even comes close.

All of the games I've mentioned above are doing more from a technical perspective. Artistic direction is up to personal subjectivity.

@look2christ777 Absolutely not ironically. All the games you listed specifically, God of war 3, Uncharted 2/3 are in no ways technically impressive. Gears of war 3 manages to do much more; containing superior textures yet managing 4 player co-op along with high intensity amounts of ever increasing enemies on the screen in open and near scientifically detailed amounts of script in areas. It's much less linear and scripted, for instance. The UC3 beta; when it lost this a lot of fans complained.

@gamerdude1246 Unfortunately there were always fanboys. Its just that Gow1 is 5 years old, and Gow 2 is 3 years old. And most real Gow fans (and yes the fanboys too) were disappointed by gears 2. So the fanboys just kept their mouths shut until the masterpiece that is Gears 3 was announced. I my sound like a fanboy, i am not. I just LOVE Gears of war. But i'm not going around preaching to other games fans about how mine is better.

@yfzrider13 They were disapointed because the mulitplayer wasnt as good as it should have been. Thats why gears 3 got delayed. they wanted to make sure the multiplayer was top notch. Gears 3 will even run on dedicated servers.
