  • I remember watching the Irish Rovers on t.v. with my parents and they would always sing this song at the end of the show. It was a nice, entertaining show that the whole family could watch and it brings back great memories for me.

  • @jolmsteadrn well... it didn't really start out as a song. it was orriginally written by shel silverstein in his book "where the sidewalk ends." It is written on pages, 76 and 77.

  • When I was little my grandpa used to always the play the rovers for me, the unicorn and puff the magic dragon, and biplane evermore were always my favorite songs. And i'm sure i'm not the only one!

  • True story: My Great Uncle died, and after his wake wich is what some people do after the funeral, you see my uncle was Irish and after the wake this song came on, on the radio!
