Linux is amazing but come on its gotta be better application for music than amarok i really missed winamp after i got back to windows WINAMP SHOULD WORK FOR LINUX TO.
I´m trying to change my OS (Win 7) because I´m borring (from windows 95 to Win 7) and OpenSUSE is my favorite candidate... I like your customization...
The music is shit, and who gives a fuck about some stupid effects? Linux is a pile of trash on the side of the road that says "free shit" and no one wants any of it except for a couple lonely hobos
How is that crying or whining or anything close? Maybe you don't understand any form of emotion, or you are just an idiot. I'm just telling you that Linux sucks. It's so faaast durrr and has a pretty GUI(faggy)
Fuck that! Decent Macs are priced way too high at around $3000!
As for building your own with OSX, fuck that too! Apple are oligarchs, trying to patent ideas plagiarized from the open source community, and claiming them as their own.
I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than cater to those capitalist pigs.
becides mac people are retarded. Who in der right mind would pay 3 times as much for a computer with the same specs. Im sure it made sense back in the day when it was used for dev purposes. Today, retards.
i personally prefer Ubuntu (Ubuntu 8.04.1 sucks IMO). I tried openSUSE but i couldn't do anything in it (I'm too dumb i know, i got lost in menus), but now i'm waiting for final version of Ubuntu 8.10 (now using alpha 6 and except bluetooth everything worked fine for me and is a lot better even though is alpha) i have great expectations with Ubuntu 8.10
thx i'm thinking of trying openSUSE 11.1 with KDE as WM cause i personally prefer Ubuntu for Gnome and for now i'll stick with Gnome as default WM but i didn't like the KDE on Ubuntu, felt pretty crappy but i read that openSUSE has a very nice implementation of KDE + that it has some stuff that seems pretty sweet. The downside is that i'm used with Ubuntu and i don't know any code for openSUSE and it will b very confusing at first cause i like to use the terminal a lot
I'd stick with Ubuntu if I were you, it's the most popular, easiest to use and fastest Linux Distribution. Not to mention, everything works out of the box.
No, you'd just have to re-learn a bunch of stuff you already know how to do on Ubuntu, all because a bunch of nerds can't play nice and make a standard way to do somethin'.
Cuts aside, at best you'd waste a bunch of time learning multiple ways to do things^. At worst, you'll just get confused, pissed off and want to go back to something else; also a waste of your time if what you have works for you.
Como siempre he dicho... Linux es linux y por lo tanto debe mantener ese aspecto... no hay razon por la que tengamos que copiarle a Mac :S

I haven't tried OpenSUSE yet, since Ubuntu is running nicely on my laptop. Would there be any major benefits of shifting from Ubuntu?
