Recently I've been going over some of my old Saint Etienne albums - imagine my surprise when this track comes up in the middle of a Spanish film like Volver! Sadly, Tales from the Turnpike House has been rumoured to be Saint Etienne's final album.

Hmmmm.... we'll see. The same rumours appeared about Sound of Water and Finisterre being the last albums too.

What we do know is that Burnt Out Car gets released as a single in September 2008 (Xenomania remix), followed by a new Greatest Hits package and a 2nd single later this year - This Is Tomorrow. There is a also a gig coming up.
