  • DAVE GROHL

  • @NotRushDrummer yea but The Rev still influenced more drummers than phil colins or gay ass charlie watts ever did, and why is Mike Portnoy not in front of Gene Krupa who should be behind Buddy Rich

  • You guys the description says : "How much they influenced the world". The newer drummers can't influence the world yet, they're part of the Next generation of music. Hendrix isn't the best Guitar player that ever lived, Yet he is still favored by many because What he did, during his time. So get over yourselves, and just because you like the band doesn't mean they have the most talent.

  • John Bonham will always be #1, neil peart is flamer and shouldn't even be compared to Bonzo, and where is The Rev, kick out phil collins or charlie watts and put in The Reverend Tholomew Plague

  • Buddy Poor haahahahaha (in other words, where is GUY NADON? The only drummer who successfully humiliated Buddy with his drumming!), and where is MY favorite drummer of all time, BENNY GREB? But it's so hard to do "Top's" lists, I really respect your work!

  • woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, im not ok with joey only being 24!

  • why is Buddy Rich not 1st???

  • @MakiD2010 because the guy who put together the list is clueless.....Buddy Rich Not 1st LMAO.......Terry Bozzio lower then 4th urrrrrrr right !!!

  • John bonham.... Who the fuck is that? Neil all the way!

  • @dasbo1fan

By saying that, are you saying John Bonham is a nobody?

If you seriously don't know who he is, then you're watching the wrong video

  • @dasbo1fan how many "drummers" does it take to screw in a light bulb? two. one to do it, the other to say how much better neil peart couldve done it. -_- if you dont get it, the morale of the joke is that there are better drummers out there than peart. i honestly think that mangini is faster and more technical than peart will ever be.

  • phil collins can suck a dick

  • danny carey is the man!!!! same with mr bonham!!!

  • Awh fuck John Bonham! I hate when people put him over Peart!!! He is good but Neil should have been #1

  • @RushBassKid76 fuck that. neil is overrated.

  • @MidAtlanticOfficials So is Van Halen, Yet, He's still great.

  • im number 1

  • no vinnie colaiuta or dave weckl?

  • gadd in 24? truly very truly truly truly idiot!

  • You got the top 10 right! Thanks

  • I think it's a fair listing, maybe not in everyone's particular order or including everyone's drummers but then again, it's your contribution, not theirs and I respect that. I would like to see other in the listing but then again, it would be more like the "Top 50 or Top 75" but again, that would be my list....so I think yours is decent 'thumbs up'. Thanks for sharing!

  • rev!!!!!!

  • Keith Moon is definitely the best

  • Gotta love rings starr, come on drummer for the Beatles gotta get you top ten

  • Two things to say; No one can be better than Neil Peart. Joey Jordison should be in top five. I love him!!!!

  • NO FUCKING TRE COOL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • John Bonham was good, but not the best. I'd put Stewart Copeland and many others, including Roy Haynes, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell, Steve Gadd, Art Blakely and Buddy Rich, Paul Wertico, ahead of Bonham.

  • @DuhQuanNigstix what? he is not overrated, listen led zeppelin live's closely

  • no vinnie paul, or lars? cmon man

  • Charlie Watts and Ringo Starr weren't even that good. Sorry.

  • @ironzeppelin44 yeah, but they were very influential the music industry...

  • This list is garbage.

  • Good list. Eclectic! Interesting. Kudos, though, to Chick Webb, Carmine Appice, Jaimo & Butch Trucks, Don Brewer, Buddy Miles, Mick Fleetwood and Mick Avery...among many others.

  • ringo?

  • buddy rich and keith moon are fucking amazing!!!

  • I was gonna say where are bohnam and peart? But then they were the top two

  • Bonzo for the win! in your face Peart fans!

  • Where is Dave Weckl...?????????????

  • What about Dennis Chambers,Jim Chapin, Louie Bellson? These alone were greater than pretty much your whole list. Then again you are intitled to yout opinion

  • You might listen to anything done my Mark Craney. Easily fits into this list.

  • john bohnham keith moon dave grohl. nothing anybody say will change these guys from been the best the world has ever seen

  • Comment removed

  • marky ramone is missing, and I am not kidding!!!!

  • Where's Roger Taylor?

  • ringo starr better than Mitch Mitchell or Art Blakey??? must be frikkin kidding me. Mitch should have been put higher than mere 22.

anyways, i would place Max Roach higher and Elvin Jones too, keith moon looower and hell no for no1.

AND WHERE IS JACK DEJOHNETTE, HUH???

    dislike, i'm sorry, dislike

  • you left out chad smith hes easily top 10

  • Where's lars ulrich in this list?? haha just a joke :D :D METALLICA SUCKS and lars can't play drums :D :D :D

  • Ehh.

John Robinsson, Bernard Purdie, Carlos Wega, Per Lindvall, Joey Herredia, Brian Blade, Rasmus Kihlberg, Alex Acuna, and so on....

    To much groove???

  • why Joey on 24 ??? slipknot ! \m/

  • Watts should be 29 followed by Ringo at 30. Not a bad list but Buddy as #1 followed by Peart, Krupa, Palmer, Bonham and Moon.

  • Travis in 1st

  • good list but where is Cobham? Minnemann? and Colaiuta? Neil Peart isn't that great man.

  • Look decent job,and there is a subjective aspect to a list of greatest drummers.but for the love of God , Ringo starr!! Charley watts Top 87 maybe!

  • And what about Carton Barrett?? Bumba Clot!

  • you can't put jazz drummers and rock drummers in the same list when trying to rank them... completely invalidates it.

  • @npfantk I don't think so. It's not like comparing apples to oranges. It's more like comparing galas to granny smiths. (Or navel to valencia) It's all about individual talent, ability and inventiveness within each ones field. Everyone has their opinion and preference, though. So my opinion is that I'd gladly put Alex Van Halen in place of Ringo Star, Charley Watts or Phil Collens ANY day!

  • what about the rev

  • @bmxingBmxer What about him? He was an emo drug addict who killed himself getting high. Good riddance. Only you faggot little kids worship that drug addict.

  • great list!

  • Ginger Baker & Charlie Watts may be famous but there are drummers playing in bars in any city who would wipe the floor with them. Take a look at Tony Royster Jnr at 12yrs old, he is better than most of this list.

  • Mick Fleetwood, W.S. Holland, Nick Mason,, just to name a few who are missing..

  • I like the list but grohl should be up there more

  • 1:00 - Number 25 - Mike Tyson.

  • what about vinnie paul?

  • pretty good list but you included jory jordison and not vinnie colaiuta?

that guy couldn't find a pocket in his pants.

  • steve gadd at in the 20s!!! wtf?!?!

  • 11: barack obama

  • the rev sucked dick, the most overrated drummer of all time..get over it faggots

  • joey jordison number one!

  • Youre nuts!,most of that list is upside down & without a doubt BUDDY GOD rest

his soul IS number UNO.I havn't played for years and iv'e forgotten more than some in this list can do,some cant even play!& that includes Ringo/Moon/Baker/

etc..Dont believe me?,check out THE IMPOSSIBLE DRUM SOLO HQ by BUDDY.

  • Good list but Travis Barker shouldn't be on here. Replace him with Lars Ulrich. But other than that, great list!

  • Cool list. No matter what you do in picking the best you'll never make everyone happy. Everyone has they're favorites but I can never pick a number one cause they are all so great.

  • Mike Mangini belongs at 5.

    Steward Copeland belongs at 2

    Mike Portnoy belongs at4.

    Terry Bozzio belongs at 6.

    Buddy Rich belongs at 3.

    Neil Peart belongs at 1.

You put all of the GOOD drummers in the wrong places. Idiot.

  • @paulog516 I at least know something, John Bonham doesn't belong at 1.

  • @ThatCheapDrummer neither does neil peart.......just sayin

  • Neil Peart being only No.2.....Errr No.

  • Thats right Neil Peart better be on here...

  • Do you mean influential as well? Now you have the best 42. And growing!!

Tony Williams, Narada Michael Walden, Billy Cobham, Casey Schuerrell, Simon Phillips, Tony Royster Jr., Marco, Minneman, Gavin Harrison, Vinnie Caloiuta, Mark Craney, Dennis Chambers, Rayford Griffin..etc

  • where the hell is keith moon and alex van halen? damn...

  • @Scoutman3100

Keith was in there bro! At #3

  • @Scoutman3100 keith moon is 3rd

  • Ringo should not be there & Dave Weckl should be there & at least in the top 5... this list doesn't make any sence especialy with John Bonham at the first place!!!!

  • John Bonham had to be number one, Bonham rules!

  • Gotta put a vote in for Chad too.

  • Chad Smith & Lars Ulrich?!?!?!?! WTF O.o

  • I find your lack of Roger Taylor and Don Henley disturbing

  • sorry man, but John Bonham is FAR from number 1.

  • Chick Webb?????????

  • They're all great, and this kind of list is, of course, always subjective, which is normal. BUT, I find funny that people who make these lists think that only drummers from US or UK can be in. Open your mind, guys, you'll get giant surprises ;)

This said, i'm glad to see Bozzio and Brufford here.

  • fast and good don't always equal each other.

  • Roger Taylor? Brian Downey? Alex Van Halen? Lars Ulrich?

  • jaki from CAN? SORT IT OUT.

  • no

  • Do you Gay? Where Is Chad Smith And : THE REVEREND THOLOMEW PLAGUE?

  • in my opinion buddy rich should be first

  • bonham ,man you smoke sooomuch weeed

  • umm yeah one question...WHY IS DANNY CAREY 14???

  • IMHO, Carmine Appice and Benny Benjamin deserve top 30 status. And although they're famous names, I am not sure Dave Grohl and Charlie Watts rise to top 30 status. But it was an interesting list. Glad you included old-timers Gene Krupa, Hal Blaine and Buddy Rich.

  • Now the Rev and Dimebag have 3 things in common : 2 best drummers ever, both DEAD, and both not on this MUTHERFUCKING LIST

  • @A7XMetallicaFTW Dimebag is a guitarist?

  • C'mon. Where's Tony Williams? Chad Smith? Jimmy Chamberlain? Clyde Stubblefield? Jack DeJohnette? Questlove? Bernard Purdie?

  • The rev should definately be on this list. He played well, had control, and played a major part in the band in terms of writing and singing backup vocals. If you want proof just listen to him go from the chorus, straight into an offbeat, and then to a sick solo in Beast and the Harlot.

  • Hold on, Carter at number 27? You're full of it.

  • @nanooman Wait I want to further emphasize. You put Ringo star on the list at all... in front of Carter Beauford?! You're overflowing BS.

  • barker shuld be 1 you douchebag

  • i was getting ready to say "NO NEAL PEART?!?!?!" Then i saw number 2

  • Travis Barker, Don't Fuck With Me

  • @TonyJasta i know right

  • The only one that I would want to see on here is Bill Ward.

  • Travis Barker?

    Oh noooo, please...

  • where is VINNIE COLAIUTA ???

  • JOHN BONHAM IS OVERRATED!!!!!!

  • Please do us all a favor and switch John Bonham with Neil Peart. Thank you.

  • I hope the list isn't meant to be the best from 1 to 30!

    Max Roach was a beast!

  • what about the drummer out of Mr Big? He was good.

  • Do u know Charly Antolini?

Anyway nice one for including ian paice in...

  • Where is Dave Weckl, Tony Royster Jr and Dennis Chambers ? :)

  • I'm sorry, but I cannot take this list seriously, especially if it is meant to be in a ranked order.

  • Joe Morello ?

  • Umm, who are the judges...just sayin...!!!

  • Yeeeaaahhh!! Bruford digs on 10!

  • I dont think you are a drummer yourself.; am i right ?

  • DUDE ! Where the hell is Thomas Pridgen

  • Where's Meg White??? No just kidding

  • i know one drummer you forgot to mention well at least to me he is the best.how about peter criss from kiss?

  • I was waiting. I kept saying, "He couldn't do it" and then he did it. John Bonham at #1? Are you mad? Nobody in Led Zep was that great, taken as an individual. It was the symbiosis of all of them. The sum was greater than the whole of the parts. But there's no way Bonham is a better drummer than Buddy Rich. or Gene Krupa or Neil Pert.

  • Where is Carmine appice and Tommy lee

  • Where's Ainsley Dunbar?

  • 0:35 noel Edmund????

  • 0:25 Barack Obama????

  • are you really serious with this........your probrably not even a drummer......

  • Neil Peart is my favourite but if anyone deserves number 1 its John Bonham.

    Great List ;)

  • no bill ward wtf

  • BUDDY RICH AND GENE KRUPA FTW

  • Was this list composed by a moron? Has anyone heard of Joe Morello???? He and Buddy Rich were the best ever. Ringo Starr???? He wasn't even good enough to do most of the studio gigs with the Beatles!!!! Get real, folks.

  • no its keith moon is number 1

  • WHERE IS ROGER TAYLOR?

  • Missed Mick Fleetwood and Artimus Pyle of Skynyrd ...

  • john bonham sucks!

  • carter should be in top 5!

  • neil peart should be first!!!!!!!!!! and kieth should be second

  • Carey should be in top 10 atleast

  • bonzo no 1

  • Good list, but no love for Chad Sexton of 311.

  • Tico Torres....

  • come on taylor hawkins is better than at least phil collins!

  • You can't really assort drummers like this, but you have a really good list here. Thank you.

  • Keith moon should be The first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This list is stupide !!!!! Keith moon is The lord of The drummers !!!! He's got The Power and The rythm in his body !!!!!!!!! Long live rock !!!!!!! Long live The whooooo !!!!!!!

  • Dany Carey #1

  • Ringo is awesome!

  • the Rev? HELLO!?!?!!

  • @Beatles199501 ok, rev can be included, maybe #1 in the most overrated drummer in history

  • @Beatles199501 The rev sucks

  • @Beatles199501 I kinda disagree with that list, but the Rev doesn't have his place in the top 30.

  • @Beatles199501 kill yourself

  • @Beatles199501 Urm...NO

  • @Beatles199501 the rev is overrated and doesnt deserve mention here. take it somewhere else

  • @nevermind9194 it seems to me that 13 people agree with me

  • @Beatles199501 because its easier to hit a button than it is to comment on stuff.

  • @nevermind9194 then why not hit the dislike button?

  • @Beatles199501 trust me, i did. most people are just too lazy and dont give a shit to comment

  • @nevermind9194 or you can look at the other possibility and say that SOME people agree with me, its just one person having an opinion, and the last thing i want to do is start something, so you or anybody else, dont need to go around and start smashing on people just because of their opinion

  • @Beatles199501 well, at least 5 people have disagreed with you, and if you want to pull it like that, thats also MY opinion. in MY opinion, the rev IS extremely overrated, and doesnt deserve to be mentioned in a list of the greatest drummers ever... at all.

  • @nevermind9194 NO FUCK YOU THE REV IS GREAT!!

  • @Beatles199501 HE SUCKS

  • Pretty good list. John Bonham certainly belongs at #1.

  • LOL at Carter Beauford and Mike Mangini so low....BS

  • Ringo Starr??????? Mediocrity personified.

  • What about Steve Moore, the Crazy drummer?

  • ... e Billy Cobham? Winnie Colaiutta? Dave Wakel? Max Roach? Roberto Gatto? Tullio De Piscopo? Mike Staropoli? Omar Hakim? ... & so on? Ma andate a cagare!!!!!!

  • CARTER BEAUFORD IS #1...

  • Ringo Star? Phil Collins? Really?

  • Jon Theodore?

  • Any list that has Ringo Star in it & not Cozy Powell is bollocks!!

  • There's not one bad one in the bunch.

If you watch Gene krupa, you'll see where Keith Moon got some of his inspiration.

  • Where the fuck is BILLY COBHAM on this list...........You've got to be kidding

  • Joey Jordison gehört unter die besten 5

  • Not a bad list but where in the hell is Stepehn Perkins, or Lars, or Travis? And Ringo is unworthy of this list IMO. Also I agree with the previous sentiments made about most of todays metal drummers...it's mostly smoke and mirrors with them.

  • @chemicalbrotha78

I knew somebody would rip on Ringo. He is very under-rated, influential, and respected among his peers, and not just for being with "The Fab Four." His playing compliments whoever he is recording with (I guess that would be IMO, but I think he belongs there). It was good to see Charlie Watts in there too. People don't give him enough credit either.

  • no travis barker no
