  • SMOKIN....

  • damn the truck rotted away, but the engine sure didnt

  • Volvo were the first to turbo trucks or am i wrong?

  • That would make a bad ass rat rod!

  • hey that could be used to aid startinf my f-350 v8 diesel engine with put damage the fucking glowplugs ! hahaha

  • aint no yanky cummins shit here

  • @shashlasse i know

  • Den kommer väl godkännas med blankt papper vid Bilprovningen :P

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • Sounds sweet!

  • now put it in drive

  • Now that is an interesting way to cold start a diesel.

  • My uncle does that with a blow torch to start his Fordson Major tractors in the winter.

  • @kazimann I had to do similar once with my VW Polo when the injector froze (drive it on a really wet day just above freezing, then park it, sudden change to snowfall and very bitter air = trouble)... Luckily they don't put them in place of the carb in the old "dustbin lid" airbox any more.

Makes them less liable to freeze ... but damn near impossible to forcibly warm up if they do! The "stick a burning torch up the intake" trick should still do some good, though.

  • @afghanen screw u american engines will kick al most any engines ass

  • @herrit789 Scandinavian engineering has been kicking your asses since the first volvo 444 rolled out of the factory if not for even longer then that.

And your page says your american yet you're worse at english then i am.

  • @shashelasse Forgive him, they just don't know any better. They'll see what real trucks are made of when they bring their big three junk to face our trucks: scania and volvo in the frozen wastelands and tratra in the muddy roads of the east.

Then there's that V6 block Alfa Romeo bought from GM and fitted with their own heads and now gets the same power as the same GM block does in the US with ONE MORE LITER DISPLACEMENT. We've beaten them for decades, and we are doing it as we speak.

  • @ruiferreira89 so true mate, so true

  • cave man glow plug looove it lol

  • sounds nice...whats withe the fire....heat up the charge?

  • what did you do with it

  • Ah yes, the original glow plug.

  • sounds really smooth

  • hehe, en norsk motorvärmare ;)

  • hvor i norge står denne volvoen da?

motoren hørtes jo helt fin ut!

  • If that had been a SCANIA it would'nt have needed a heater

  • @cmscania1971 no cuz it wouldnt start at all

  • damn i knew any car would still work no car is junk to me unless the motor and half the car is gone

  • nice job. good old volvo

  • thats awseome!! I love seeing old trucks come alive!

  • don't you eggheads know that wood gasification is extremely corrosive to your eingine?

  • maby you can't tell by the look but i think the engine corroiding is a small prolblem to them

  • This is a Swedish engine..not an american piece of shit engine

  • @Afghanen u know wat its not my fault tht u hate americans but BACK THE FUCK OFF

  • @chryslerconcorde1 go cry by your "working" engine

  • @Afghanen Most American engines are shit, except older Ford Equipment.

  • @Afghanen Which explains why the great Volvo has been bought by the Chinese?? (P.S. I am strictly not American)

  • @acebars Actually volvo trucks is a separate company now.

  • @Afghanen An American engine of this vintage would have no problems starting after sitting either. Take your ignorance elsewhere.

  • @whammydoom like it will hurt that piece of shit, come on dude

  • @whammydoom oh i dont thinkl that would cause any harm to it be all burned out in the first couple revs lol

  • helt otroligt . att ens komma på tanken att försöka när den såg ut som den gjorde! Bra jobbat!

  • Man all that thing needs is a little armor all !

  • that truck look like new!!

  • someon needs to introduce "EASY START SPRAY" to these chaps

  • Actually that isnt very healthy to a diesel engine..And if it doesnt start the way its supposed to,something must be wrong with it,right?

  • It's far better for the engine than Easy Start! Still use it here to get the oldies running on the cold mornings... !

  • My comment must have been an answer to mitchellgonzales, I know a little bit about diesel engines including that some of them mas a flame heater in the in the intake originally. For instance my ol' mans MF 35 with Perkins 3-cylinder, if its VERY cold you turn the key the other way and hear a "boof" when its activated. Its a glowing spiral with a diesel line connected to it to create a flame. But starting fluids isnt healthy to diesels, you can even crush the pistons. And dangerous with a heater.

  • but that aint a poxy perkins tractor is it

  • Word "poxy" not found in vocabulary

  • back.. det ser verkligen ut som om den inte har varit igång på väldigt många år :D

  • Excellent ingenuity!

  • may i get the turbo? XD

    seriously, may i ^^

  • no way

  • People in scandinavia knows how to handle things in the cold :D

  • @mammacalo very true

  • nice ride man....really pimp

  • que tal motor volvo

  • Well that is pretty dang cool. An intake air heater:-)
