This song brings back some fun memories. I used to play it in the car when I was driving around town with my kids when they were little. I would sing along, and when I would get to the "maybe I could run, maybe I could fly-iii" I would try to hit the falsetto note, and my kids were bust a gut laughing at me! Good times...

@durtypaws Yes i know it is song of worship and i listen to it as a song of worship as with all of their songs. I also learn and play their songs on guitar to show my appreciation of the music and to connect with God. I then make videos of the songs i feel i can play well so that i can share them with other people. That was my sole intention from that comment. Hope i didn't offend you in anyway and that you understand that in no way was i attempting to detract from the main purpose of this song.

Delirious got popular in the Christian ghetto but never quite made it in the mainstream. U2 were from Dublin where there wasn't a Christian ghetto and had to make it in the mainstream or not at all. There were other factors like the anti-Christian mass media in the UK and the fact that many Christians thought U2 sold out their beliefs by not ramming the Gospel down everyone's throats. Fact is, U2 were able to be Christians and still see things from a non-Christian's perspective.

I'll admit that I don't care much for so-called "Christian" music, probably because every else in my immediate family has always listened to it incessantly, and I feel like modern Jesus pop has turned into overused melodies and recycled religious cliches, dcTalk being an exception.
