Who did that research to determine that its 20% slower with the top down? I am sure is makes a difference, but not much. Benz did a really good job with the design, you can do 120 in that car with the top down and you can hardly feel the wind. That's my friend's car, and we have raced with the top up and down, and trust me, there is no noticeable difference.

I am not getting defensive, so don't worry. All I am saying is that I wont pay 120k for a SL55 and consider myself in a sports car, but for a Porsche I will. When you get in a Porsche you don't see all that BS that you do in the SL55. It dose not have "elegant", and "sophisticated" features. It has a simple interior, and it is built for speed. Get the idea?

Im not impressed of its performance. Are u stupid? not even the newest 2008 AMG trim level with 518 Bhp do any top of the line figures. 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) in 4.6 second with that much horsepower are a disgrace. Sure we throw in the best they got, SL65 AMG Black Series coupe, features carbon-fiber and a AMG V12 with a whopping 670 Bhp!
And still do a 0-to-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration of 3.8 seconds with that power(?) is just pathetic! Any why YOU cant afford them hahaha! end of story

The driver of the SL is a buddy of mine, he was PUSHIN IT ALL THE WAY, and my Camaro is modded as described. It does not take much to get a LS1,LS2, or specially a LS3 moving. Heads, cam, full bolt-ons with good tuning and this is what you end up with.

Who did that research to determine that its 20% slower with the top down? I am sure is makes a difference, but not much. Benz did a really good job with the design, you can do 120 in that car with the top down and you can hardly feel the wind. That's my friend's car, and we have raced with the top up and down, and trust me, there is no noticeable difference.

Hmm.. I have an sl55 2003 its bone stock exept the transmition software is upgraded to 2007 sl55, it is a little quicker.. With top up i did 12.1 1/4 mile with top down i did 12.4 1/4 mile... so it is a little quicker.. But what have you done to your Camaro? its not a stock Camaro..
