there's a lot he's missing out, like keeping a firm grip, holding it so the pivot is at the corner at the further corner and using only the bridge of your thumb to fan, keeping pressure on the cards so they spread evenly.

Bicycle cards work best... and draw it from left to right not from right to left. so you will be holding the cards with the left hand and drawing it down with your thumb finger or w.e experiment.

there amazing and im using the blue deck for all my mgic tricks and the red deck is like a deck that i keep safe and keep durable.

i can do this with the red deck but i can't do it (well) with the blue deck.

If it clumps it usually means you are not using fanning cards or either fresh new cards. Use Bicycles right out of the deck. Plastic cards wont fan either.

bycicle decks generally cost about 2 bucks. it isn't much and they generally are crappy. There are much better cards out there but u should use them for practice since ull just ruin them and they cost $5-$7. my favorite deck is the Tiger Rising made by bicycle plus they look REALLY COOL.

your cards could be old or not have a good finish on them. If not then you might be gripping them too hard. Gripping the cards should feel very natural, not forced.

Sounds like you need fanning powder (Calcium carbonate, i believe, not that that helps lol). Or a new deck of cards =] wash your hands before you handle the cards too that will help them not to get sticky.
