I still struggle with before pictures of me. I am doing better. I decided to put up pictures of me in places I look at often of me before, where I am happy. To 'desensitize' myself. It makes me more comfortable with what I looked like and felt like before and gives me a more realistic view of my body now. I got my wls at 45 (5 months ago). I sometimes wish I had gotten it long ago but I honestly don't htink I could have followed the plan until now. Now I'm married and have an established career so it's the "right" time to focus on getting my health on track. BTW: I started Zumeba, it's great if you have it where you are. It's like dancing to Latino music.
I wish my gym offered Zumba, I've seen videos of it and it looks like so much fun. You know I don't think I would have been ready to do the surgery any earlier than now. I'm a little more settled and better able to handle the ups and downs.
