Make stealth satellites. Put jammers and other electronic countermeasures in it. Arming them with missiles isn't easy. increasing weight/size, more danger for launching, if this satellite will collapse on earth ! The age isn't a problem satellites has a max age of 15 years. A 15 year old missile will still do the job. In space you dont have many resistance. For launching a missile you need a stable platform. Maybe by dropping it like they do with fighter jets ? Or they will not fall but float.

Why is the World so surprised? China isn't stupid. They know that the U.S. and Europe depend on satellites to observe troop and equipment movements of other countries, and to aim their weapons. Those satellites should also be considered weapons since their main function is to use them to utilize weapons more effectively.
